The publicist says I have to be a Famous SpokesGoat today and maaaa to you about some news from my shop. I guess my life can't be all apples and grain.
As you all know I offer lovely little favor soaps for weddings, showers and parties.
After they are made they get tied up in a bag with a pretty ribbon.
They look like this.
Aren't they nice?
You can get them with any color ribbon and with a tag or sticker.
But now you can get them with raffia!
I only let the publicist get a few colors to start but I think they look really nice.
What do you think?
The publicist can make your tag look any way you want.
This wedding was a celebration in kiwi and purple.
They were very happy with their little soaps.
So if you are having a wedding or shower or party keep my rich soaps in mind.
I have four different designs; plain rectangles, heart rectangles, small hearts and the goat's milk design.
Thank you for reading my commercial.
Have a nice day!

A Drove of Pigs
Farm Cat Friday is postponed until tomorrow.
I have an announcement.
I would let Bernadette maaa this to you as part of her training but I wanted to show you.
A BIG DROVE of pigs left my soap shop.
It's true!
I would not lie.
LOOK!
That is a LOT of pigs!
What do you mean they don't look like pigs?
Of course they are pigs!
They are for a baby shower.
They are custom shower favors!
A little pig in a bag with a custom tag.
The baby is going to be named Charlotte so it is a Charlotte's Web themed shower.
Isn't that cute?
I sure think so.
The publicist made them all up and mailed them out yesterday.
Each one has the scent listed on the back so the guests know what they are getting.
There is special pricing when you buy this many piggie soaps.
You can always ask about it if you have a party and need more than 20 of my bigger soaps.
The small travel size soaps are always $1 each. I think they will be going up to $1.50 after the new year.
I am sure that the new mommy will be happy with her Drove of Pigs.
I did a child's party once and sent my cowgoat soaps for that one.
Good times. Good times.
So be sure to keep me in mind for a great favor for your parties.
I am not retired yet publicist.
There is still some Spokes in this Goat!
Be sure to stop by tomorrow for Farm CatFriday Saturday.

Small (Goat) Business Saturday
The publicist tells me that this is Small Business Saturday.
It means that you human types are supposed to do your shopping in small businesses instead of at big stores.
Well guess what?
I am a small goatbusiness!
Therefore you should shop with me!
How could you resist my little face?
So if you need a nice gift you can check out my soap shop.
I'll wait.
I have lots of very nice soaps for stocking stuffers, hostess gifts and for travelers. So you can support a small (goat) business, get good gifts and keep me in apples.
I like apples.
I am training Bernadette to take over for me when I retire.
I think she will make an excellent SpokesGoat, don't you?
She is very personable and quite photogenic.
I cannot work forever.
Just don't tell AbbyGoat.....

AbbyDay - You Have My Heart
It's AbbyDay, the BEST day of the week.
Yo!
Today I am going to give you my heart.
OK - not my REAL heart.
If I did that I would be dead and AbbyGoat is not going to die today.
I am going to show you a new soap inMY the soap shop!
Isn't it cute?
It's a little soap for wedding favors or shower favors.
It weighs about 1.25 oz and measures 1 1/2" by 1 1/2".
The publicist will put them in one of our special biodegradable bags and make a special label or tag and tie them with a pretty ribbon all for $1 each.
Isn't that a great favor for your wedding?
She could even put two of them in a bag if you wanted. That would cost $1.75ea.
I think it's pretty cool if I do maaaa so myself.
They would even be good for a sweetheart party.
Or just to use as hostess soaps.
She can make them in any scent you would like and she just needs a months lead time.
You know you want some,
Right?

AbbyDay-I Tell You About Soap Stuff
It's AbbyDay the best day of the week. In fact the best day period!
Today I, AbbyGoat get to tell you about a special soap order. Me, not Pricilla.
So there Pricilla!
Recently the publicist sent a big box o'little soaps out for a party.
It's a party for kitty cats.
She also sent some Cat's Got Your Goat Soaps as prizes for a gift basket.
She tied the little soaps with holiday colored ribbons. Don't they look festive?
I hope the people at the party like the little soaps.
I think little soaps make great favors, don't you?
I'm practicing to be SpokesGoat for when Pricilla retires.
How did I do?

And The Winner Is......
I know you are all very excited to find out who has won my rich soap. So I won't make you wait....
Too long.
But first I must be a SpokesGoat today. I may be retired from having kids but I still have my SpokesGoat duties and I take them very seriously. Since that is the case I must, of course show you my head shot - I couldn't be a good SpokesGoat without a beautiful head shot.
Happy Goat Soap is very proud to announce two new shapes! They will be in my shop very soon.
The first is in honor of Abby's new kids!
A Baby Bootie!
Isn't it cute? And no expected that! 'Cause goats don't wear them.
Ha ha! I surprised you!
The second shape a lot of you did guess.
It's a sheep!
Not because we are getting sheep on the The Happy Goats Farm.
But because the publicist thought it was cute.
We are the Happy GOATS Farm after all....
And now for the winner!
The publicist went to Random.org and this is what it told her:
Here are your random numbers:
So that makes the winner:
angie lilly!
Yay! I like to make people happy.
The publicist is sending angie lilly an email to tell her about her win. If she doesn't respond the publicist will pick a new winner.
I am very happy that so many of you wanted to win my rich soap and I am sorry I can't send it to all of you. But of course you can all go BUY it if you want.
In fact, if you do want to buy it I am going to give you a discount! That's right! Since you couldn't all win the giveaway if you put "blog" in the notes to seller the publicist will give you 15% off of your order.
Tomorrow: WHERE are the kids?

SpokesGoat Notes
Today is a day full of SpokeGoating. I have several announcements for you regarding my rich soap! You know how much I like to talk about my rich soap. First I will put up my head shot because a good SpokesGoat always shows herself to her best advantage
and I do like my head shot. I think it shows off my eyes very nicely.
This is a big one; the publicist has found BIODEGRADABLE PACKAGING for my rich soap! Isn't that exciting?! Now instead of cellophane that will live forever in the landfill my rich soap will be packaged in biodegradable type cellophane. I am very happy about this. So is the publicist and the male person.
Secondly the publicist has started listing my new scent for winter called First Snow. It smells like when you take a walk out in the snow! It's very fresh, clean and crisp. It's available in several shapes like plain bars
Goats Like to Eat Pine Trees
Abby and Nora
and others to come. Woo hoo for new scents. This is a limited edition so once it's gone, it's gone. In about a month we will have Berrywine in limited edition as well. Mmmmm, rich and heady like a glass of red wine. I will let you know when it is ready.
I hope you like this news from Happy Goat Soap. I like to think I am a good SpokesGoat.
Tomorrow: Goatucation - Cheesemaking: Cheddar Cheese
and I do like my head shot. I think it shows off my eyes very nicely.

The Chicks All Right with Pricilla
It is time once again for me to dust off my headshot and actually do my job as SpokesGoat for Happy Goat Soap. I really do enjoy my work - it gets me out of the pen and maaaaaing to my public. I will have to retire for a bit when the kids arrive as they will need my attention for about a month - but then I will be back to work!
Today I would like to remind you of our The Chicks All Right with Pricilla Soap. This is one of our newest shapes. We introduced it to celebrate the fact that we are getting chickens this spring. That's right! There will be little chicks running around the Happy Goats Farm. I have been assured that the name of the Farm is not being changed. I personally would not have stood for that! The chicks are all right with me but I don't want them horning in on my territory. I am sure you can all agree with me.
But back to business. These pretty and delightfully scented soaps would make a great gift for chicken lovers everywhere. Better yet - how about putting one in an Easter basket instead of filling it will all candy. Wouldn't that be a cute idea? I am just such a clever spokesgoat, aren't I?
At the same time we introduced the Chicks soap we brought you The Rooster in the Goat Pen Soap. Now I know we need the roosters to go with the chicks, just like we need our bucks but those roosters better steer clear of me! But you can have your own Rooster soap without having to worry about loose feathers. Could it get any better?
So why not do a very pregnant spokesgoat a favor and pop on into the shop and have a look around? I would appreciate it.

Too Pretty to Use?
I hear this all the time; "But Pricilla, your soaps are just to pretty to use."
This is ridiculous. I know most of the Happy Goat Soaps come in cute shapes like cats or chicks. I know they are very nice to look at. But they are SOAP not sculpture. It is to be used and enjoyed. I can see putting the sea urchin soap in your guest room soap dish for appearances but the others are to be enjoyed in your shower or bath for their rich lather and delightful scents. It is not that expensive. You can always come back for more. (This kind of logic is what makes me a good spokesgoat!)
Plus, if you really just want a bar of soap - we sell BARS OF SOAP. How perfect is that? There is a whole section of them in the shop.
So I think we have something for everyone. Just remember, you soap is to USE not to put up on a pedestal. That you can do to ME. The excellent spokesgoat for Happy Goat Soap!

Scents in the Air
Spokesgoat Pricilla here to tell you all about the new soaps the publicist made last night. I do have to earn my keep after all. It can't be all daydreams and fun. Someone has to work on this farm and since Abigail is nothing but a drain I guess it must be me. Not that I don't LOVE my job as spokesgoat for Happy Goat Soap but it would be nice if Abigail did something other than eat and poop around here. But I digress..
..

Last night the publicist made some new soaps for the shop! The air was filled with the delightful smells of Lemongrass, Rosemary Lemongrass and Black Raspberry Vanilla. Mmmmm, even the goats were happy. In a month's time you will see Chicks, Sea Urchins and Pricilla soaps in Black Raspberry Vanilla, Pricilla, The Rooster in the Goat Pen Soap and Cat Got You Goat Soaps in Lemongrass and Shaving soaps in Lemongrass Rosemary. A nice addition to the shop. We had been out of Black Raspberry Vanilla for quite some time so I know some of you will be happy to see it back.

Now if only the publicist could cook up something that smells like goat. Do you think it would sell?

Feature Friday! Humblebea
It's that time again! Yes, Feature Friday where I get to go rogue and talk about something other than annoying Abby or soap. What a pleasure for me! Today I want to show you some adorable children's clothing and papier mache collectibles. In fact, if you have looked through the Happy Goat Soap shop you have all ready seen the work of our featured shop. This talented artist created all the adorable papier mache goats used in our soap listings! My publicist sent her pictures of us and Natalie from Humblebea worked her magic and sent back little caricatures of each and every one of us. This listing shows me!
Natalie describes herself this way in her profile: lucky wife • proud Mom • obsessive crafter
Sounds like she does not have time for a goat! I can believe the obsessive crafter part by the wide range of beautiful items she has in her shop. Her gorgeous children's clothing would be perfect for your own kids or for gifts. If my kids didn't grow so fast I think I would consider having her make me something for them - but then again, they would probably just eat it.

I think this little pinafore would be perfect for a spring day.

She also makes little baby shoes. They look so comfortable. I wonder if they would fit on hooves. Sometimes I just get tired of walking on the snow, you know. Hmmmm...and green is my color!

Now, bees are not my thing. They sting me sometimes and I really do not like that but who could resist these adorable little papier mache bees. They would never sting!
There is a lot more to look at in Natalie's shop and I really think you should check it all out. You might find that perfect gift for your next party or shower. Or a present just beecause.
Hee hee, I can be a funny goat!

Today is the Day!
Today I am in official spokesgoat mode.
I am pleased to announce that today is the day that our two new soaps will be available in the Happy Goat Soap Shop! If you will recall from this post we are introducing two new shapes into the shop;

The Rooster in the Goat Pen Soap and
The Chicks All Right by Pricilla Soap
The Rooster soap weighs 5.5oz and will cost $5.50. The Chicks soap weighs 4oz and will cost $4.00 but as a special blog offering if you wish to purchase these BRAND NEW SOAPS just mention that Pricilla sent you in the "notes to seller" and you will get a 15% discount. Aren't I a wonderful spokesgoat? So be sure to check them out or I might lose my job - not that this is my ONLY job. I do provide the good, rich milk that goes into every bar of Happy Goat Soap.

Coveted Scratch of the Tail Awards
I have not granted my Coveted Scratch of the Tail Award in a bit so I am pleased today to bestow it upon the following people for listing my rich soap in their beautiful Treasuries on etsy;
First to AudreysCountryCrafts her beautiful list is full of a variety of sweet smelling soaps and she chose my Maaaaasssage Bar Scented with Spicy Lemon Rose to feature. Her shop is full of the cutest country crafts I have seen. I think this would be a great tribute to the chickens that will soon be here on the Farm.
The second offering comes from thedryingrack, a shop full of the CUTEST needle felted items EVER. I just love these - they are in my favorite color, PINK. This list features my Sea Urchin Soap - uncented. A great choice for those of you who don't like scented soaps.
So I thank both of you and hope you like your award.

Sneak Peak
I wouldn't be a good spokesgoat if I didn't reward my loyal readers every once in a while now would I? So today I am going to give you a first peak at the NEW SOAPS that will soon be available in the Happy Goat Soap shop. As I mentioned in an earlier post the Happy Goats Farm will be adding chickens this spring. Our male person hasn't made a final decision on what breed yet but the rumors that are swirling around the goat pens seem to have him leaning towards Rhode Island Reds. I haven't made up my mind about this addition yet; I came from a farm with chickens and they were always trying to peck and eat my grain! My grain is MY grain.
I should not be a greedy goat, I know but the chickens will have plenty to eat without eating my grain. I hope they are not planning to change the name of the farm to Happy Goat and Chicken Farm. I WILL NOT share top billing with a bunch of clucking birds
The chickens will be good for the garden here at the farm as they will eat all the grasshoppers that invade every year. I, for one, will be happy to see the grasshoppers go. I know the publicist will be happy they are gone too. Although it is very funny to hear her screaming all the time when the grasshoppers jump on her. She has a bug thing (some farmer!!!) and screams very, very, very loudly every time she encounters one. Ooooh, and the dance she does when a spider falls on her is REALLY something to behold. It is a shame I cannot hold a camera......but I digress.
So without any further ado I present:

The Rooster in the Goat Pen Soap and

The Chicks All Right by Pricilla Soap.
I like it when my name is in the soap shop. These will be available very soon. They are curing right now in really cool scents like Afternoon Tea, Spring Bouquet and others. You know I will make an announcement when they are available because I am a good spokesgoat.

Coveted Scratch of the Tail Award
Wowzers! New treasuries opened and nice etsy folk have again featured my soaps!
My very popular Sea Urchin soap was in a list curated by eclipse. Her shop is lots of fun to browse through. I think that if I wore this I might not be as cold. I also might buy this and put it in Michael's pen - it might take some of the stink away but I doubt it. There is no hope of taking Michael's stink away - he is a buck.
The second list comes courtesy of another Montanan - AsianExpressions. Uyen has been kind enough to feature me before and I thank her again for showing my Rich Goat's Milk Soap Scented with Sandalwood. I wrote about her beautiful kimonos before but they are worth mentioning again. I still would like to have this for my goat house. But Abigail would probably eat it!

Visitors

I love visitors! Goats are naturally social creatures and as a spokesgoat I am even more so. We get plenty of people and other creatures that come to visit here at the Happy Goats Farm. More in the summer than in the winter but I have plenty of social activity all year round.
Today we had a visit from our Bald Eagle. He comes pretty regularly and sits on the big tree at the edge of the river. He is looking for a plump trout to eat for lunch. One time he thought Fred the cat would make a good lunch and he tried to take him away. Fortunately Fred is, uh let's just say well fed, and he was too heavy for the eagle to carry. Poor Fred had to go the emergency Vet and have his fur shaved but he was OK. Now Fred watches very closely for the eagle.
The Bald Eagle is our national bird and we are lucky to have a nesting pair not too far from us. My publicist took the photo.

Coveted Scratch of the Tail Award
I was browsing through the Treasury lists and found one created by Twinklefish that features our Sea Urchin Soap. It is a lovely list that features items from the sea. So of course this means (insert TA DA here) that I am awarding Twinklefish my Coveted Scratch of the Tail Award!
Her shop has a lovely assortment of jewelry items including this necklace that I think would look lovely on me. Well, if it could be extended, of course.
So thank you Twinklefish - we really appreciate it!

Happy Goats Farm Interview - Luke the Goat
I continue today with the interviews with my fellow animals on the Happy Goats Farm. Today I am introducing you to Luke the goat. He is the only goat on the farm to whom I did not give birth! So here we go:
So, Luke how did you come to be at the Happy Goats Farm?
When I was just a little buckling at the Glory Bea Farm in Washington State one day a man came in a truck and put me in a carrier. Then I went for a long, long, long, long, long ride. It was windy and noisy and I was scared. But then when it ended I found myself at the Happy Goats Farm. I will admit that I was still scared when I arrived. It was so new and different. I missed my brother. I missed my mother. But then...then...I saw YOU! It was love at first sight.
Now Luke, keep to the interview....
What do you do here at the farm?
I eat a lot of hay and grain. I love my goat treat at night but only if it is apples or pears. I don't like carrots. I like to play with Michael the goat. And well, this is a family blog so I won't go into my other, uh, duties. I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you.
LUKE!
What do you like best about the Happy Goats Farm?
You! Want to go out later tonight?
Ugh, I can see I am not going to get anywhere with this interview either. The bucks on this farm are just too difficult to have a civil conversation with.
I hope you enjoyed this little peak into Luke the goat's little mind.

One World-One Heart Giveway
As a blogging goat I want to be participatory in what goes on in the blogosphere. I discovered this delightful giveaway from one of my Montana friends, Spirithelpers and have discussed it with my publicist and we have decided to participate!
So, to win a delightful bar of Happy Goat Soap you just need leave a comment on this post. On February 12th I will go to Random.org and let the program pick a winner. The winner can then make their choice of any three of our delightful soaps. How easy is that?

And if you want to note in your comment how beautiful I am, by all means feel free to do so. This will not, however increase your chances of winning the soap. That would be unethical and I am a most ethical spokesgoat.

I Am Not Fat - I Am Pregnant!
I know I should not have to bring this up, but I am a famous spokesgoat and need to look my best at all times. I never know when I will have a media appointment and then there are always those pesky paparazzi. You never know where they will pop up. Last summer I found one hiding in the corn stalks! A goat has no privacy!
I have announced my pregnancy so it should be no surprise that I am gaining weight but the tabloid press can be so nasty. All this talk about "Piggy Pricilla" and "Greedy Grain Gorging Goat" can really get to a doe. I NEED to gain a certain amount of weight to give birth to healthy kids. I think I look wonderful in this condition. So I am asking the press to back off - or I will be forced to butt!
My publicist did not approve that last statement, but I am hormonal....
