By now you all know that AbbyGoat seems to think that the deck of the yurt is part of her grazing territory. The male person totally disagrees with this - especially since she tries to snack on his bonsai plants when she goes up there. He does not appreciate her doing this.
Now it seems that she is not going to allow any other goat to explore the deck of the yurt!
Can you imagine such a thing?
Look!
If you cannot see the movie you can watch it on YouTube HERE
I do not recall anygoat - or human for that matter - appointing AbbyGoat Queen of the Yurt!

Alex the Goat is Not Too Smart
It's true.
I would not lie.
He does not like corn husks!
Can you believe such a thing?
He came over to check out this new food in my pen because the publicist fed me the delicious corn husks first. The other goats had to wait but since he can STILL fit through the fence he came through to see what was going on. As you can see, he was NOT impressed.
Silly boy!
The publicist gave him a piece to eat and after a very long sniff he finally took it but then do you know what he did? He chewed it for a little bit and then HE SPIT IT OUT!
I was shocked.
I was appalled.
What a waste of good husk.
He is obviously nothing like his father.
Now there's a buck who knows how to enjoy a treat.
I would not lie.

Alex Gets Beet
This is Alex's first summer on the Farm so of course he has never tasted beet greens.
He did not know what he had not had.
At first he was not sure about them.
He did not want to try them at first.
But he saw the rest of us eating them so he tried one.
Soon he realized that these things the publicist brought were pretty good!
He started eating them up.
You can see that she gave him a nice little pile all to himself.
And he ate every last one.
I don't think he'll ignore them again.

It's Yoga Time
You would never guess that Louise the goat is pregnant.
She leads the daily yoga sessions in the goat pen.
She starts us off easy.
You have to warm up you know.
Then she goes on to the more stretchy stuff.
I think she really wants to teach ballet.
What do you think?
Bernadette has great style, don't you agree?
I think she needs a tutu.
ALEX!
What are you doing?
You do not make up moves on your own!
You are supposed to follow along!
That is better!
Excellent form!
What? I'm supervising!
I CAN TO see with my eyes closed.

Look What the Male Person Brought Just for US!
We love the male person!
Look what he brought for us...
JUST for us.
Can you believe it?
He went into the woods and cut all of this tasty wood.
We have been enjoying it.
Especially little Alex.
He has discovered that he really loves bark.
I don't blame him.
It's very yummy.
He looks like he will butt anyone who tries to take his snack, doesn't he?
AbbyGoat just stared in awe.
She couldn't believe that all of that wood was here for us.
Bernadette was so excited she had to climb to the top!
I think we will have plenty to eat this winter.
WHAT?
What do you mean this is not our food for the winter.
What do you mean it is to heat the yurt?
What do you mean you are going to use this tasty wood for HEAT?!
You humans are CRAZY!
Crazy I maaaaa!

Intruders in the Grazing Fields?
As I mentioned on Saturday we were all out enjoying the sunshine and grazing.
But we were not alone!
There were INTRUDERS in our grazing areas!
Can you believe such a thing?
I would not lie!
Look!
Do you see?
Sherpa the Farm cat thinks he's hiding but we can see him.
Silly Sherpa!
What does he think he is doing?
He is not a goat!
Hey! Harry the Farm cat is here too.
WHAT is going on?
Thelma and Alex were munching on a weed tree - yes there is one in the gully so we can still have our tasty treat!
Look who is there!
Is there no where we goats can go to get away from these Farm cats?
Thelma and Alex decide to go somewhere else.
Maybe up where AbbyGoat is grazing.
She seems to be Farm cat free...AAAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHH!
Do you see?
Even AbbyGoat can't graze alone!
Stinky the Farm cat is spying on her.
What?! Now Harry is even EATING our weeds!
Harry they are our weeds - you go find a mousie.
I don't care that you want to lounge in the cool, green grass.
WE ARE GRAZING!
Where am I you ask?
I am not a stupid goat.
I am keeping far, far away from those theiving Farm cats.
They will not bother me here!
I am safe!

The Sun, The Sun - At Least We THINK it Was the Sun
Is the sun a big yellow ball in the sky?
We are no longer sure.
We have not seen it in so long we have forgotten what it is.
We THINK it was out today.
We do know it was a nice day and we got to go out grazing.
Thelma really enjoyed herself.
She needs to eat the green grass - she has to keep making that rich milk to feed Alex.
Alex is growing big and strong on her milk and the delicious grass and weeds.
He is learning to be somewhat self-sufficient.
But he can still be a pain in the tchukes.
Just ask the publicist.
He is always butting her and jumping on her.
I don't think she REALLY minds....

Alex is a Stylin' Goat
Shhhhh. I'm huntin' goat.
Alex the goat.
Well, not really. I'm HIDING from Alex the goat.
Do you think it will work?
He REALLY thinks he's special now.
Do you see why?
He's been given his collar.
Now he thinks he's a BIG buck.
(I don't think he realizes he ISN'T a buck any more!)
He's been strutting around like a little style king ever since the publicist put it on him
Harumph!
WE ALL have collars.
It's so the publicist can grab us.
Silly boy!
You can run, but you can't get away!
The publicist will get you.
Uh huh!
Maaaed you so!
I do have to admaaa-it. He is cute in his collar.
Just don't tell him I maaaaed it.

What IS it With Kids?
I do not begin to understand them.
I cannot remember back that far.
I am too old.
I cannot imagine I did this.
I am too sensible.
What you ask?
Standing in my food!
The publicist no sooner put the bucket of hay down and up he hopped.
It's not like the view is better from up there.
It's barely a foot off the ground!
Silly kid!
It's certainly not easier to eat his meal from in there.
Even Louise the goat was shaking her head.
That or she didn't want to eat hay with goatprints all over it.
Thelma went over to maaaa at her kid.
But it looks like she got a little distracted!
THELMA! DO YOUR JOB!
That's better.
I think she gave him a little nip.
'Cause he hopped down and started acting like a normal goat.
This is one crazy Farm!

Little Alex is Really Trying to Be a ToughBuck
Even though he really isn't a buck any more.
But that does not seem to matter to him.
Oh no!
He and Bernadette the goat having been battling it out!
He does not seem to realize he is MUCH smaller.
He does not seem to care when she does the goat stomp at him!
He just stands his ground and he butt her.
With his little tiny head.
And then HE does the goat stomp!
Which is pretty funny for a 6 week old goatling.
And he isn't stopping with Bernadette.
Oh no!
He is also challenging other goats on the Farm.
I do not see this ending well.
Do you?

Alex the Goat Learns You Can't Always Get What You Want
It's a fact of life.
Isn't it?
You can't always get what you want.
No matter how much you might want it.
Alex the goat is growing up and learning this the hard way.
Bernadette is singing the song of love and Alex would like to learn the rhumba but he is blocked.
Bernadette maaaas, "huh? Alex? I don't want to sing to Alex!"
He's a baby!
He's an annoyance!
That doesn't stop Alex from trying!
As we all know he is one DETERMINED little buckling.
(Actually he is now a wether. He had his little procedure this weekend. It has not slowed him down ONE BIT.)
His nanny just maaaas, "what do you want me to do about it?"
He's not my problem.
It's going to be one interesting time around this Farm.
