Flashback Fun- WHAT is He Doing?

The weather has been really, really awful.
So awful the publicist has not taken any new photos.
So I decided to go through some of my old pictures and start a new series called Flashback Fun.
Enjoy - I hope you have fun!

Louise was out grazing this summer.
And she saw something very, very odd.

She stopped to watch.
She could not figure out WHAT Luke was doing.

Can you?
It doesn't look like any kind of goat yoga I have ever seen.

Yes, Luke we are looking at YOU.
WHAT ARE YOU DOING?

Any guesses?

You Talkin' to Me?

Luke the goat here.
I was standing in my pen minding my own business.
When I heard this noise.

I just wanted to eat my breakfast so I really wasn't paying attention.
I'm a hungry boy when I come out of the barn.
And that hay is mighty tasty.

WHAT is that noise?
Oh, it's the publicist.
What is her problem?

You talkin' to me, publicist?
Are you talkin' to ME?

It's Rumba Time

It was crazy time around the Farm this weekend!
Thelma, Louise, Abby AND Bernadette were all wagging their tails for Luke the goat!
The publicist said she couldn't handle all of those goat hormones.
Poor Luke.
AbbyGoat is retired.
Thelma and Louise just had kids.

What was a studmuffin to do?

I know!
As much as it pained me, he danced the rumba with Bernadette.

The publicist let the little tail wagging hussy into his pen.
At first she played hard to get.

Then she played harder to get.
It was her first time dancing the rumba.
I think she will make a good nanny.
Assuming all went well with the dance.

Luke was a good instructor.
He has danced a lot of rumbas.
He knows the steps.

So keep your hooves crossed that there will be kids come April!

What is Nora the goat Up to Now?

Where on the Farm is Nora the Goat?
Can anyone guess?

I will give you a hint!

Silly little doe!
Can you guess now?

How about now?
That's right!
Nora the goat went into her daddy's pen!

She really did some exploring!
I don't know about these kids.
They don't stay where they are supposed to, do they?

Let's go Nora - time to go back to your pen!
Silly kid!

Breakfast with Dad

Is that Nick and Nora snacking with their daddy?
Isn't that nice?
Luke has been going a little rogue in the mornings so the publicist let him be.

He did not seem bothered by the kids.
He just went about his sniffing.

Even when little Nora challenged him!
Can you believe she did such a thing?
Luke just looked at her and then walked away.

Then the publicist told him he had to go back into his pen.
He did not like this.

In fact he let her know in no uncertain opinion.
LUKE!
That is NOT nice.

That is better.
A little.....

Explorations

Hey, who is that?
Look at those horns.
He's BIG.
He smells.

He's my daddy?
REALLY?!
P.U.

But I guess he loves me.

Does he love me publicist?
Does he?

Of course my little one.
It's just his stinky time of year.

Why is that?
Why? Why?

You don't need to worry about it yet my little one.
Just enjoy being a kid.

We're Glad Pricilla Took the #AppleBucketChallege

Do you want to know why?
Although I suspect you can figure it out.
That's right!

'Cause we got apples too!
The publicist would NEVER just give apples to one goat.
She would make sure we ALL got some.

And she did.
She even made sure Bernadette got some.

Poor Bernadette. All the goats pick on her like they pick on Pricilla.
There was only one big problem.
Alex the goat.
He kept butting the publicist to get her to feed him!
She was not happy.
So she locked him up in a pen.

But he still got apples.
She does spoil us!
She just does not like to get butt.

I do not blame her.
Although for some reason she says that I am "pushy."
Pffffft.
Just because I am an erm, assertive goat does not mean I am pushy!

Is it wrong to like apples!
ALL of us like them.

Especially Luke the goat.
The publicist had to count her fingers after she fed him.
He gets very excited about apples.

So we thank Waffles for challenging Pricilla.
If you want to see her #IceBucketChallenge #AppleBucketChallenge you can check it out HERE

Thanks Pricilla for taking the challenge.
All of us thank you!.
You're our hero.

Alex the Goat is Not Too Smart

It's true.
I would not lie.
He does not like corn husks!
Can you believe such a thing?

He came over to check out this new food in my pen because the publicist fed me the delicious corn husks first. The other goats had to wait but since he can STILL fit through the fence he came through to see what was going on. As you can see, he was NOT impressed.

Silly boy!

The publicist gave him a piece to eat and after a very long sniff he finally took it but then do you know what he did? He chewed it for a little bit and then HE SPIT IT OUT!

I was shocked.
I was appalled.
What a waste of good husk.

He is obviously nothing like his father.
Now there's a buck who knows how to enjoy a treat.

My Spool Broke!

Luke the goat here.
I showed you a picture of my pen yesterday.
Something was missing.
Many of you said goats were missing.
This was nominally true but the real thing missing

...was my SPOOL!
It broke!
But I did not think it would disappear.

I looked all over for it but it was no longer anywhere to be seen.
And the male person took it out of my pen.
The publicist did not get photos of the breaking.
Which is good. It was not pretty.

But now the only way I can keep an eye on my does is by hopping on my goat house.
It is not tall enough!
It is not big enough!
It is not studly enough!

I am a toughbuck!
I am the king of the Farm.
I need a new spool.

Don't you agree?

Those Other Goats Think They Beet Me Out

Those other goats think they have something over on me.
They think that since I got my greens first that their beet greens will last longer.
They are not too smart, are they.

I don't really care about those does but doesn't my studmuffin look cute?
I could watch him eating greens all day long.
You can't have him - he's mine!

Of course AbbyGoat hogged had her share
She never misses a treat!

Louise is eating for two (or three?) so the publicist made sure she got her fair share.
A soon to be nanny goat needs her vitamins!

Poor little Bernadette.
She is low goat in the pen so the others pick on her.
She had to run and hide to get her greens
But the publicist made sure she had her very own pile.

Don't worry about Thelma the goat either. She had a nice big pile too.
The publicist just didn't get any good pictures of her.

I wonder what will come out of the garden next?

Luke Week - Luke Waves Goodbye for the Last Day of Luke Week

Luke really enjoyed being the center of attention on the blog for a whole week!
He usually gets minimal attention and maaaas that he felt very special having all of these posts focused on him. He thinks there should be more Luke Weeks in the future  - what do you think?

It has been quite warm so most of us have been just hanging out in the shade as much as we can.

Luke included.
We save our energy for when it is cooler

He does look cute sitting under his spool, doesn't he?
You note how he is waving to you with his hind hoof.

He is a clever buck.
He will still make appearances on the blog because he is an important member of the Farm family.
Awww, he has the shys.

He thanks you for all of your kind comments.
Be ready for regular goat fun starting tomorrow!
