A New Treat for Us
Do I look happy to you?
I am!
Do you want to know why?
The publicist brought us a new treat.
She said they are "plums."
We had never had these plums before.
They are very tasty.
Alex the goat was most enthusiastic.
He REALLY liked the plums.
Do you see his eyes?
They are lighting up!
Of course AbbyGoat got her fair share.
Mmmmmmm.
Bernadette got a little pushy.
She BUTT the publicist!
She was not happy about this.
But the publicist still gave her some plums.
Thelma and Louise liked them too!
They need all the energy they can get with chasing those kids around.
The publicist didn't forget Luke the goat.
While she was feeding him you will never guess what happened!
ALEX THE GOAT BUTT HER!
It was certainly her day to get butt.
My heavens.
Of course she gave him another piece of plum.
We are, if nothing, spoiled.
I hope we see these plums again.
I really liked them.

Beet the Heat
It is HOT.
Hot and SMOKEY.
I do not like this combination.
I am an old goat.
I like it a little bit cool with nice clear air.
I tried to maaaa this to the publicist but she told me there was nothing she could do about it.
Harumph!
She did bring us a treat though so this made up for it a little bit.
What did she bring?
One of my favorite summer time treats!
Beet greens!
You know how much I look forward to them every year.
Apparently the harvest was not that big this year so we did not get a lot of them.
But what we got was pretty tasty.
The publicist gave me my share first.
You can see that Louise the goat is acting a little put out behind me.
But I am a special goat so I should get mine first.
Do you not agree?
Do not worry Louise the goat got her share of beet greens.
I must say that I was a bit put out while she ate and I had none left.
It is how we goats are.
We want what the other goats have.
BRRRRAAAAAAAAP!
Oh, excuse me!
But they are quite good and I did gobble them down.
Don't forget to vote for Sherpa's photo!
You can vote every 24 hours through August 16th so I will be a pain in your tail and remind you every day until then...

So if you will excuse me, I've have lots of munching to do!
Nom, nom, munch, munch, CHOMP!
Seriously - go away now.

AbbyDay POSTPONED! Pricilla Tries a New Treat
It is very scary for me today.
Why you ask?
Because we are postponing AbbyDay!
Do I look scared?
Maybe she will not notice.
Please do not tell her, OK?
You know that the publicist spoils me terribly.
It is because I am her special pet.
(It might also be because I am getting old but I don't care because I get extra treats!)
Yesterday she came to me with something new.
Hmmmm, what is this?
I had never smelled anything like this before - what could it be?
The publicist opened it up for me.
She is nice like that.
It smelled EVEN BETTER!
Mmmm, nom, nom, nom!
It is so sweet.
You can see how much I am enjoying it!
MORE! MORE! MORE!
I think Harry the Farm cat is jealous!
She tells me it is something called an apry-caught
I am MOST in favor of these.
Hey publicist - I want MORE!
What do you mean there are no more?!
This is disappointing!
I like those apry-caughts
I know you told me that our very nice neighbor brought them for you and the male person.
I know you told me that our very nice neighbor meant them for humans not goats.
But how can you resist me when I smile at you like this?
Hahahaha! I knew it! Munch, chew, nom, nom, nom!
Thank you publicist.

Somegoat Has Discovered GRAIN
Somegoat has had his first taste of grain.
Somegoat gets very excited when he sees the grain and he jumps all over the publicist.
Somegoat has decided that grain is "all that."
He is so spoiled that the publicist will stop and feed him before she feeds ME!
Can you believe such a thing?!
I cannot.
I should be fed first, after all I am the GREATgrandnanny on this Farm!
Harumph!
Kids!
You should all go over and see the wonderful production of It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown(goat) on my friend Millie's blog. It has been VERY good and deserves and Oscar! It's in four parts and the first two have already been shown:
Part 1
Part 2
Part 3
You won't be disappointed!
The acting! The costumes!
The rock?

AbbyDay - We Get Lots of Yummy Stuff to Eat
It's AbbyDay, the best day of the week. In fact, I am beginning to believe that instead of Tuesday the calendar should be changed to read AbbyDay.
Today I have a movie for you.
I make a starring appearance in it.
I am, of course the STAR of any movie in which I appear because I am a stargoat.
In this movie I show you all of us Happy Goats enjoying the delicious snacks that the publicist gives us to eat. My grandkids Bruce and Clarence are also in it - I know how much you love to see the little ones!
If you cannot see the movie you can see it on YouTube HERE
I hope you enjoyed seeing us eat our yummy treats.
We certainly enjoyed eating them!
We don't enjoy the stupid roosters.

That Clarence!
Clarence is a silly kid.
It's true!
I would not lie.
He was out munching on tasty broccoli plants with his brother and nanny.
Only he jumped up on a log.
And soon his brother joined him.
Silly kids.
What could be more fun that eating broccoli plants?
Apparently eating dried up crunchy weeds!
And he could reach them better from the log.
Probably because the weeds were TALLER than Clarence the goat!
He did some nomming and then he took a look around.
He soon leapt to the ground
For a little goat it was a BIG leap!
Just remember - a varied diet is a good diet!

Bruce, Clarence and the Piece of Tree
Bruce and Clarence are learning to eat all of the delicious things that goats like to eat.
And as you well know we are very spoiled goats here on the Happy Goats Farm and the publicist gives us many yummy things to munch.
We are STILL eating parts of The Big Tree-t.
Can you believe it?!
That was one big tree!
But we have had lots of good snacks from it.
And now so are the kids.
It took a bit for Bruce and Clarence to figure out that eating tree-t was a good thing.
Louise showed them how tasty it could be.
Louise is no dummy.
The best part of the tree-t, of course is nibbling on the needles.
I have mentioned how tiny Bruce and Clarence are and you can see it here when they stand in front of a piece of tree-t.
The needles are almost as big as the kids!
They are both checking it out but it is Clarence who proves to be Mr. Tough Buck!
He gives that piece of tree-t a butt!
Silly Clarence!
Tree-t is for EATING not for butting!
Now you have the idea!
Pretty tasty, isn't it?
I think he likes it, don't you?
He is one smart little kid!
Munch on, Clarence!

I am a Special Goat
You saw yesterday that I had some apple.
What you did not know was that I WAS THE ONLY GOAT TO GET THE APPLE.
I am one spoiled goat!
It's true!
The publicist always treats me a little bit special.
At first I was not sure what was going on.
I was all alone in my pen.
All of the other goats had gone to the barn.
I was worried!
Then the publicist came back and told me to turn around.
Is that?
Could it be?
::sniff::sniff::SNIFF
APPLE!
I haven't had apple in a long, long time.
Oh, yum!
Yummity, yum, yum!
I forgave her right away.
She fed me lots of delicious apple!
I was such a Happy Goat!
There is nothing better than apples.
WAIT! Where did she go?
I have to go find the rest of those apples!
Silly publicist!
She is just playing with me.
Of course I will finish those apples!
They are MINE, MINE, MINE!
All MINE!
And now they are all gone.
::sob::
