Buster Brown: Learning New Things or CopyGoat?

Buster Brown is still a young buck.
He has lots and lots to learn.
He was over by the wood pile and he started to butt the branches.

Abbygoat took offense.
She started maaaaaing far and wide that Buster Brown was a COPYGOAT!
Just because he was butting the wood as she had done.

(If you want MY opinion he looks a whole lot cuter than Abby when he butts the wood.)
The rest of us told her to chill.
That Buster Brown was just learning a new goat skill.

She should be proud that he watched her for her technique.
Just look at the little guy.

He is really trying to move that big branch!
Silly Buster Brown - you are still a kid!

Abby was not maaaallified.
All she had to say was, "Pffffft!"

Buster Brown went right on butting the wood pile.

He did not care.
He had wood to butt.

And munch.

Mmmmm, wood.

AbbyDay - I Take Out My Frustrations on the Wood Pile

Sometimes a goat just needs to have a good butt.
YOU know what I mean, right?
You just want to bang your head against something.

I decided that the wood pile would be perfect!
I walked up to a great big branch and I told it to GET READY!

Then I butt it with my strong and mighty horns!
No one should get in the way of my strong and mighty horns!

That branch had no chance!
No chance AT ALL.

Not with AbbyGoat doing the butting!
I am a strong goat!

Then I brought my girls over for a nibble of the branch I had subdued.

That branch was mine to do with what I wanted.
I strong and in CHARGE.
Me, ABBYGOAT!

Mmmm, frustrations gone and a little fiber to boot.
It's a good day.
Of course it is - it's AbbyDay!

Thelma and Louise - Devourers of Weeds

Thelma and Louise are turning into quite the little eaters.
If given a weed pile to munch they work hard at it and munch away until there is nothing left!
They were out the other day and their nanny left them with a tuft of grass.

They both worked at it.

They have very good grass eating form, I must maaaa.
I suspect that my genes have something to do with that!

Little Louise really concentrates as she eats.
But don't worry!
Thelma is no slacker.

She eats like a pro too!
It's hard to believe these does are only a little over two months old!
I am very proud of them.
The male person is very happy that they are eating all of the tall grass.
Then he doesn't have to mow!

Silly Sunday - Somegoat is VERY Pregnant

Nora the goat is really starting to show.
In fact somegoat is looking VERY plump.

Pretty soon her udder will drop and then we will know that a new kid or two will not be far away.

Yay for new kids on the Farm!

Buster Brown is just Too Cute

It's true!
I fear that he is so cute the publicist might make HIM the Famous SpokesGoat.
What would I do then?

I mean look at his adorableness

How could she not use him instead of me?
I am an old goat.

He is a cute, adorable kid!
Even his Goat Stare of Death is cute.

How can I compete with that?
I am doomed.
DOOMED.

I will be put out to pasture to just eat all day and not work....
Hmmmm.

Farm Cat Friday - Explorer Cat Harry

Shocking things are happening in the publicist's house.
Shocking!
Harry the Farm cat is causing all kinds of trouble.
It's true!

You know he has been exploring the walls around the yurt.
Well! He has decided to jump down from the walls and explore the shelves in the kitchen.

Silly Harry!
The male person was not happy about this.

He stopped to give Harry a talking to.

Not that it did much good.
Harry was going to do what Harry was going to do.

He checked out the shelves from one side....

To the microwave on top of the refrigerator.
Then he decided he had done enough exploring for one day and he jumped!

Back up on the wall to get back down on the floor.
Silly Harry!

Aaaah, Aaaah, AAAAAAH! That Feels Good

I want to let you in on a secret.
Well maybe it is not too much of a secret.

I LOVE to have my tail scratched.
Oooooh, it feels so good.

When the publicist scratches my tail I look like this....

Aaaaah, aaaaah.

I am a very Happy Goat!
She is so good to me.
Any time I walk up to her she gives me a nice long scratch and I am in goat heaven.

Aaaaaah!
I love the publicist.

I want to wish my Aunt Nora a very happy birthday today. She is old like the publicist but still very much fun.

AbbyDay - I Inspect the Yurt

Since I am the most important goat on this Farm I took it upon maaaself to inspect the publicist's yurt. I would not want her to live in a substandard building.
Aren't I a good goat?

I went into the basement.

I moved carefully since I wanted to do a very thorough inspection.
I didn't want to miss anything.

It is surprising how much there is to see!
So I made sure to sniff all I could.
I would not want tell the publicist it was safe if it was not!

What was that?!
I heard something!

Around that corner...
I won't be scared.
I am ABBYGOAT!

Is that some kind of VERMIN?
In the publicist's BASEMENT?
I had better run out and tell her!

Not because I am scared.
Oh-no!

Oh, it's just Pumpkin the Farm cat!
Well, uhm. I hear my kids calling.
That's it!

I don't want to leave my kids unattended for too long.
I am a good nanny.

I am not afraid of a Farm cat!
Not me!
I am ABBYGOAT!
Right.....RIGHT!?!

That Luke!

The publicist has been letting the boys out to graze for a bit these days.
The grass has grown very tall because we have had so much rain.
Sometimes they are good boys and do their job of keeping the grass and weeds down and sometimes she has to round them up and get them back in their pen because they are being bad boys and trying to get in the doe pen.

On this particular day my studmuffin, Luke was being a good boy and doing his job.
He can be a very good lawn mower when he sets his mind to it.

He does make eating grass look good, doesn't he?

He likes to climb the little hill behind the male person's truck.
I think he thinks he is King of the Farm up there.

Silly Luke!
But he does enjoy eating.
What goat doesn't?

There is just something about tasty green grass.
Mmmmm, I wish I were out there now with him.
To help him eat the grass, of course!

Happy Father's Day

All of us goats here on the Farm would like to wish all of you fathers out there - human and otherwise - a very Happy Father's Day.

Where would we be without you?
Even if the two daddies - well one daddy and one daddy to be - on this Farm tend to enter into erm, discussions at times.

Enjoy your day, Dads - you deserve it!

Who Taught Buster Brown to be Such a ToughGoat?

You will recall that we were all shocked that little Buster Brown stood up to Abbygoat by giving her the goat stomp.
I have a confession to make.
I was not as shocked as the other goats.

Do you want to know why?
Because I taught him how to do it!
It's true!

He is my grandkid after all and I want him to be prepared to face a world full of mean goats like Abby.

We were playing and doing some friendly head butting.

He is so very cute and I am very proud of him.

He looks a little bit like me, I think.
I like that.

So after we did this for a bit I told him all about the goat stomp and I suggested he give it a try.

I whispered in his little ear the instructions on how to do it.

He listened well, didn't he?!

We did some more head butting - that is a VERY important skill for a little goat to know.
And then he gave ME the goat stomp!

Well!
I told him that he should NEVER give his grandnanny the goat stomp.

Never EVER!

And he ran off!
Silly Buster Brown!
