The Boys Graze Too!

We does were not the only goats that got to get out and graze.
Oh no!
The publicist let the boys out to taste that first grass of Spring.

They were so happy to be free of their pen.

Buster Brown just enjoyed the warm sunshine.

He munched away.
Mmmm, that grass is good!

Luke ate grass for a bit but he had other things on his mind for his first day of freedom.

TREES!

Nommy good!
He showed Buster Brown how to munch on trees.
Or how to butt them. One never knows with the bucks now does one?

He didn't care if the tree was big or small. He went after it!
Then he went a little crazy!
He went on a long goat dance run of joy!

Buster Brown could hardly believe his eyes.

What was the silly Luke up to?
Uh-oh!

He was up to attacking Buster Brown!
Silly boys!
Fortunately it was all in good fun and they went back to munching.

I guess they had a lot of energy to expend.
Silly, silly bucks!

The publicist has EXCITING news! She is getting a new VIDEO camera! So there will soon be Happy Goat movies again.
Hooray!

WHAT are They?

Little Jim was out exploring.
He was running up the driveway and down the driveway.
Running, running, running.
With a little hopping here and there.

Then he stopped.
What caught his eyes.

Luke and Buster Brown the goats.
What are THEY?
He did not know.

On the other hoof THEY did not know what he was either.
Little Jim was not happy with their, erm attention.

He decided to go back to the safety of the doe herd.
Smart Jim, very, very smart.

Those boys play rough!

All of us goats want to say Happy Birthday to the male person today.
He is OLD.

The Boys Battle for Attention

It seems that the boys were a bit upset that all of the attention was going to little Jim.
They were a touch put out.
They wanted to remind everyone that they were still cute too.

Buster Brown gave his best cute pose.

And my studmuffin is ALWAYS cute to me - HI LUKE!
Once they had our attention they did what bucks do.

*sigh*
They will never learn but it is exciting, isn't it?

Luke showed why he still needs to wear his hat.

Poor Buster Brown!
Maybe when HE gets bigger he will have to wear a hat.
What do you think?

They went at it for quite a while.
Bashing and banging and banging and bashing.
To tell the truth they do this EVERY day.
Silly boys!

But after a bit they bow to each other and get back to their basking or eating.
I guess they just have to expend some erm, energy.

It gives us a show, though. Goat TV!

Luke Hogs the Hay

My studmuffin is a piggie goat!
It's true.
He is keeping Buster Brown from eating the hay in the buck pen.
I do not think this is nice.

But we goats can be very, erm, protective of our food.
In fact, we can be downright butty about it.

Luke the goat was munching and Buster Brown just wanted a bit too.
I mean, I don't blame him! He needs to eat.

But Luke was not in a mood to share!

Luke chased Buster Brown away!
Oh no!
Poor Buster Brown!

The publicist called to Luke to talk to him.
She told him that he obviously had enough to eat since he was covered with hay!

Buster Brown expressed his displeasure to her.
HE WAS HUNGRY!

Erm, Luke was having nothing to do with this SHARING stuff and chased Buster Brown. He chased him right into the goat house.

Any time he stuck his head out even a little bit, Luke would explain to him in no uncertain terms that the hay pile was LUKE'S!

Finally Luke was full and Buster could come out and eat.
Poor Buster Brown!

Now there are TWO hay piles.
Silly bucks!

The Buck Fight

AbbyDay is cancelled this week to bring you....The Buck Fight!

It was dramatic.
It was exciting.
It was over the ice patch?!

Silly boys!

As you saw yesterday Buster Brown the goat was willing to do anything to protect his little patch of ice, even stand up to his daddy. But Luke was having none of this! He wanted that ice patch too. That or he wanted to impress us does, one or the other.

He started to battle with Buster Brown.
It was impressive!

Goats were running and horns were locking.

Both boys wanted that ice patch.
For what, we have NO idea!

Then came the big stuff.

THE BUCK GOAT STOMP!
A sight to see.

They stomped and they stomped and they stomped some more.

Until Luke regrouped.

He ran around to set himself up for a SUPER STOMP!

Oooooh, isn't he something?!

They battled some more, but as per usual with those boys something more important came along....

FOOD.

And Buster Brown went back to his ice skating.
Silly bucks!

Strange Happenings in the Buck Pen

Buster Brown is an odd little guy.
Yes, he is very cute.

I will give him that.
But he has taken up a new hobby.

ICE SKATING!
Goats DO NOT ice skate!

There is a little patch of ice in the buck pen and Buster Brown just LOVES to slide on it.
Silly Buster Brown.

Does he think he is Buster Boitano?
Does he think he will be in the Winter Goat Olympics?

We have no idea what is in his little goat head.

We just know that he guards his little patch of ice from all comers.
And that includes his daddy....

Luke the goat!
Wait 'til you SEE the battle they had.
It is something to behold!

Happy Martin Luther King Day to all of my followers in the US.
