I Am Going to Go Shopping!

I think that I am in the mood to shop. I know the publicist is very good to me but sometimes a goat just wants to shop for herself.

I will be honest with you - it is very hard for a goat to shop!
Can you believe it? Goats are not allowed in stores!

So I must do my my shopping online. It's a good thing there are places like JoeShopping.com where I browse - no I do not eat the fantastic Hot Deals - this is a different kind of browsing!
For that kind of browsing I go in my yard.

Silly readers!
I wondered if the kids would like some nice music to help them sleep at night.  Or maybe the way they hop around a drum set might be some fun too! What do you think. I found lots of fun and exciting Musicians Friend coupon codes so I could buy them a present and save some green. The more I save on presents the more I can spend on ME!

I, of course, want to get the best deal on my favorite treat - apples! But I could only find a book on how to raise apple trees. While this is not immediate it would get me there eventually. I do loves me some apples!

Nom, nom, nom!
I did find that it was very easy for me to move around the site and there were lots and lots of good bargains. I am going to show it to the publicist; I am sure she will like it too. There is a community to interact with other humans - I did not see any other goats. Hmmmm, that needs work I think. After all, goats ARE going to take over the world so we need to take over the forums too! Bwamaaaahamaaahamaaaha!

So this goat suggests you go and check it out and if you know any other goats get them to join. We like to run in a herd, you know.

All of us goats would like to wish all of you humans here in the United States a very Happy Memorial Day.
Do not eat too much.

But if you do, burp.

You will feel much better.

Goin' for a Ride

Hiya everyone!
Louise here - I have taken over the blog for today.
Heehee.
I told my grandnanny that I wanted to tell a story.

I was out grazing playing and I found a very cool cart.
So I hopped in!

I thought this was a perfect cart for the Queen of the Goat Pen.
(don't tell my grandnanny I called myself that. She might get upset)
I checked it out on all sides and it was just right.

Don't I look adorable?
Of course I do!
I'm a kid - we're all adorable!
Now I just need somegoat to pull me around as is proper for a Queen.

Hmmm, I do not think Buster Brown the goat is strong enough yet.
I was thinking of that cute Brewster the goat.
Whaaaaat?
Don't all little does dream of blog stars?

Uh-oh!
My nanny has caught on to my thoughts!
I'd better get back to grazing.

It was fun to be Queen for a little while.
I'll maaaa ya later!

Farm Cat Friday - We All Thank Sparkle!

We Farm cats like to eat.
We are very spoiled by the publicist.
She gives us smelly wet food and yummy, crunchy dry food.
We also get lots and lots of treats.

One day she was visiting one of her favorite blogs, Sparkle, and there was a giveaway for some delicious cat food! The publicist had to guess where Sparkle's human had hidden the food and she guessed in an amoire.

The publicist stole this image from Sparkle's blog. She hopes Sparkle does not mind.
Sparkle showed everyone where all the bags where - there were two other winners.
We were very excited when our bag arrived but only Harry the Farm cat was in the yurt when the box was opened.

He gave it a good sniff.
Of course, the best part of the prize was the box.
We are still playing with it so it was really two prizes in one!
It also came with a beeyootiful card of Sparkle herself!

I asked the publicist to put this in my special place so I could drool over look at it any time I wanted. I love those eyes!

We all wanted to thank Sparkle and her human for having this great giveaway and for sending us the Nature's Variety cat food to try. We like it very much. The publicist leaves it out in a bowl for us so we can eat it any time we would like. She has to keep filling it up!

Yum!
So go on over and see Sparkle's blog. She had wonderful adventures with her roommates Binga and Boodie and she has even written two books! I wonder If I could write a book like Sparkle? Her books are called Dear Sparkle: Advice from One Cat to Another and Dear Sparkle: Cat to Cat Advice.

Excuse me while I go eat some kibble.

PS - The publicist wanted me to tell you that the winner of the NOVICA $75 Gift Card Giveaway was Krista!  Concatulations to Krista and thank mew to everyone who entered!

I Have an Important Job

I know you all know me as the Famous SpokesGoat around these parts but I have another important job. I help the publicist!
It's true!

She hangs her clothes out on an outdoor clothesline. She likes the way the sun drys her clothing. Don't tell her but I like the way sheets taste when they are dried on the line.

But back to my important job.
It is MY job to keep the grass mowed under the clothesline.

As you can see, it's a LOT of grass.

Mmmm, grass.
You know how much I loves me a nibble of fresh, green grass.

Especially if it's mixed with some crunchy pine needles.
Tasty!
It's hard work, you know, but somegoat has to do it.

And I do my best job for the publicist because I love her.
She loves her clean and dry clothes.
She wants to share that with you.

She is having a giveaway for a Sunshine Clothes Dryer on her blog!
You can go over and enter.
But I will warn you - the giveaway does not come with a goat to keep the grass mowed.

You will have to get one of them on your own.
And you most certainly cannot have ME.
I belong to the publicist.
But I'll happily pack up Abby and send her......

Disclosure:  The publicist received her Sunshine Clothes Dryer for free. I just wanted to show you how I do my job to help her. I did not get anything for posting this except some tasty green grass. The publicist really does love her dryer.

AbbyDay - I Told the Kids to Get a Drink From Pricilla

Sometimes it is hard being a nanny.
The twins are growing and they are always looking for milk.

They drink, drink, drink. Burp and drink some more.

This nanny is getting tired.
I have taught them to eat hay and to nibble the tasty green grass that is growing.
They are growing big and strong.

They will soon not need me any more and I know I will be sad.
But right now I need a break.

So I told the twins to go see Pricilla.
Maahamaahamaahahahaha!

She does not have any milk but the twins do not know that.
She just showed them some goat yoga.

They looked for some milk...but of course they didn't find any.

They were still hungry when they came back.
But it got them away from me for a while!
No one ever said Abbygoat was a stupid goat.

Happiness is.....

....freedom!

The freedom to....
RUN!

And then stop for a snack.

It's good to be a kid.
It's especially good to be a kid on the Happy Goats Farm!

The Twins Go Visiting

Now that the weather is getting nice we have been getting to go out and graze.
I am most in favor of this.
The new grass that is growing is very tender and tasty.

The twins are still drinking milk from their nanny but they are also eating hay and grass.
But when they "graze" they are more interested in playing than eating.

The other day they decided to visit the bucks.
They wandered over to the pen to maaa "Hi" to their daddy.

He gave them a sniff hello and then went back to his eating.
Bucks don't really care much about their offspring.

Then Louise went down to maaaa at Brewster.

He more wanted to be on the outside than he cared about Louise.
Oh well.
At this point the girls went back to their romping.
They sure do like to run around.

I guess I am just too old to remember what it is like to be a kid.
Then Louise decided to join me while I grazed.

I was very happy about this.
She is my grandkid after all.

Practice for Ultimate Spool Supremacy - Thelma and Louise Version

As the twins get older they are starting to play at goat games.
One of our favorite games around the Farm is Ultimate Spool Supremacy.
Thelma and Louise are still too little to jump up on the big spools but that does not mean that they can't still practice for the big match-up in the future.

They just do their battling UNDER the spools!

Does anyone else hear the theme from Rocky?
Of course this is all done under the watchful eyes of their nanny.

Abbygoat won't let anything happen to her kids.
It looks like Louise is taking an early lead...

But Thelma has some good butts too!

These does are battling hard!
Who will win?
Is that....

It is! It's the goat stomp from Louise!
It appears that Louise has sent Thelma packing.

Louise wins the battle....this time!
She heads off for a nice drink of water.

Kid butting is such hard work!
I am sure Thelma will get her chance to win in the future.

Farm Cat Friday - The Yurt Has Been INVADED!

The publicist tells me this is not unusual.
She tells me it happens every year around this time.
But this is the first year that we Farm cats have been living in the yurt at this time of year so to us it feels like an INVASION.

An invasion of what you ask?
Noisy, peeping CHICKS!

And we can't even play with them!
The male person built a big box with a lid so we can't get in with them and eat them pet them.
Can you believe it?

I was the first to check them out.

Then Harry figured out something was going on and he joined me.

I have to admit I wasn't to sure about them at first and let Harry get closer.

He jumped right up on the big box!

He is adventuresome, that Harry!

I looked from the freezer 'cause I didn't want to get yelled at by the male person.

But he didn't yell at Harry!
Not even when Harry checked out the box the chicks came in - they come in the mail you know.

Boy, is that Harry brave!
Then Pumpkin decided to see what was in the big box.

He didn't care all that much and just went on with his day.
Not Harry, though.

He spent most of the day just watching his dinner new friends.
I wonder what they think of him?
Especially this years exotic chick...

A White Crested Black Polish.
The publicist is very excited about this chicken.
She has always wanted what she calls a "hairy" chicken. It will look like this when it gets bigger...

 Image from HERE
For now she says it looks like a chick with a cotton ball glued to its head.

I think the publicist is a little bit silly.
Harry is STILL watching the chicks.
I think Harry is a little bit silly.

Stinky did not care one bit.
