Guess What I Saw Today?!

I was very excited.
I will bet you would be excited if you saw one too!
The publicist saw it and took pictures through her window.

It was the Bald Eagle!

He was sitting in the tree in MY yard.
Then he decided to fly away.
He jumped...

And he dived

And he soared

And then he went to the other side of the river!

Isn't that exciting?
I think so. If he is on the other side of the river he won't come and bother me.
Heh heh

The chickens were happy too. A red tailed hawk ate one of the hens last week and they have been a little bit scared lately. Red tailed hawks are sometimes called chickenhawks!

Silly Sunday - Harry "Helps" The Male Person

I'll just double check that light for you....

Do you need any help down there?

I am not sure the male person appreciated all of this "help."
Harry has been enjoying the ladder, though. He climbs it day and night.
Especially night.

The Snow is EATING Our Hay

Are you as shocked as I am?
Unlike Abby I decided to venture out of the barn to make sure things were A-OK.

It was a good thing I did because this is what I found...

The snow, EATING OUR HAY!
How can the publicist allow this?
How can the male person let this happen?
This is OUR hay, not the snow's!

I stamped my hooves and told them they had better do something about it.
Just look at all that snow!

Then I got worried.
If the snow was eating the hay...

What else might it eat?

I ran back in the barn before it could eat ME!

AbbyDay - I am Not a Stupid Goat

Why, if I look out the barn door and see this....

...would I even THINK about leaving my warm, dry barn?

I wouldn't!

I am a smart goat.
There is hay in my barn.
There is grain in my barn.
There is water in my barn.

There is NO SNOW in my barn.
Therefore, I stayed in my barn!

One Happy Goat and One Not So Happy Goat

It is STILL snowing.
Harumph!
And the publicist tells me that it is going to snow AGAIN tonight and we are getting something called an "Arctic blast" and the temperatures are going down to below zero.

BRRRRRRRR!

You will recall that I was looking for Spring yesterday.
I do not think that I am going to find it anytime soon.
My studmuffin, on the other hoof does not seem as annoyed as I seem to be.
Perhaps it is because he is not an old goat.

I do not think this weather is worth doing the goat dance of joy but I am not a buck.
THIS is my opinion

In case you could not see my opinion here is a close up

ps: The publicist feels the same way!

Perhaps I will use it as my new headshot. Perhaps not. I don't think the publicist would like that. But it is my opinion and I'm standing by it.
Who is pfffftttting with me?

Love is in the Air

Ever since Brewster had his waltz with Nora the goat he has been mooning over her.
It's true!
He cries like a baby goat when she leaves the barn.
He stands all day in his pen and just stares at our pen hoping to get a look at her.

If he sees her he gets all excited and does the goat dance of joy.
It is rather cute.

How does Nora feel about this?
Well, she has had her waltz and she figures she doesn't need little Brewster any more.
She just looks over once and a while from faaaaaar back in the doe pen...

....and she sighs.
I think she would rather wish he didn't care.
Silly Brewster!
First love is the hardest, isn't that right?

Abby is Getting Cranky

Well, Abby is always cranky but she is even crankier now that she is getting close to having her kid(s). I mean she is getting to be an erm, big goat.

heh heh
You didn't hear ME say that.
Otherwise she would butt me.
Again!

If you look closely at her horns you will see MY fur stuck on her horns.

Do you know how it got there?
Of course!
She butt me!
She butt me several times.

So my shaggy underfur that I am shedding is now stuck on her horns.

She looks so funny.
Ha ha ha to her.
That's what she gets for butting me!

Happy President's Day to all of you humans out there. I hope you enjoy your day off if you have one.

The Chickens Need to Learn Some Manners

It's true!
Since they are "free range" they well range where ever they want.
This means that we goats often find a chicken in our goat pens.
We do not approve of this AT ALL!

Yesterday Luke and Brewster went into their pen and saw this.

Yes, your eyes do not deceive you.
Chickens are eating their hay.
Not really the hay but the seeds in the hay.
BUT THAT IS THE BUCK'S HAY
Not the chicken's!

Then. Then poor little Brewster found that he had to share his grain with a chicken.

HIS GRAIN!
We should not have to share our grain with any animal.

I cannot believe this is allowed to happen.
I think those boys should butt those chickens.
Harumph!

On a happy note I and all of the Happy Goats would like to wish the publicist and the male person a very Happy Anniversary. They have been married for 29 years.

Snow Again?!

This is what I saw when I came out of the barn this morning

I was not a happy goat.
I really think it is time for winter to be over.
It is time for Spring!

I want to thank everyone who asked about my boo-boo

It is really nothing. Most of what you see there is the icky iodine the publicist insisted on putting on my head. I didn't want it there!
I got it because I was doing too much of this

I admit, it was not smart to butt heads with a goat with horns.
I miss my horns.
The publicist yelled at me. A lot.
She told me to stop picking on Marion the goat.

She said I was bigger and I should know better.
So I sauntered over and got some grain.

I went and basked by my goat house.

and then when the publicist was walking away I ran to the gate....

Oh, publicist!
Take that!

AbbyDay - Important Soap News! From ME! Not Pricilla. Nyah Nyah

It's AbbyDay!
My favorite day of the week.
If you ask me EVERY day should be AbbyDay.
Don't you think?

I have very exciting news to announce.
It's about two new soaps for the shop.
They will be available in about a month - the publicist JUST made them.
I am telling you, NOT Pricilla. Isn't that cool?
Pfffft to Pricilla. That's what I maaaaa.

Although I suppose I should be nice.
I am making this announcement because Pricilla has a big boo-boo on her head.
She got into a fight with Sarah the goat.
She now has iodine head.
heh

But that is not important.
I am important.
The soap news is important.
So here is the exciting news!

The publicist has made a new size bar of soap. It is a plain bar but it weighs 6 ounces!

Doesn't it look HUGE?
It is 2 ounces heavier than the current plain bar.

She has had many requests for a bigger bar of soap so now she is making them.

They have to cure so it will be a while before they are available in the shop.

What scent would you like to see them in?

Any one who answers will be entered into a drawing for one of the very first bars in Tangerine Dream. I won't be able to send it out for a month but I will announce the winner on 3/3 so think about it and put your answer(s) here. You can enter with three different scent choices. Be sure to leave an email address so I can write you if you win! No email - no win, only the Goat Stare of Death!

You don't want THAT, do you?

The second new kind of soap is also a plain bar but it has Apricot Seeds in it so it is exfoliating! It is not too harsh but will provide a bit of rough to help with dead skin cells.

She had an order for small bars for a wedding and will be making more 4 ounce bars as time goes on.

So, are you as excited as I am?
You can still buy all of my Pricilla's current rich soap in my her shop so go and check it out!

I am really excited that I got to tell you and not Pricilla.
I really am NOT excited that she has a big boo boo on her head.
It's not nice to be happy about things like that....right?

Nora and BREWSTER?!

It's true!
Nora REJECTED Luke.
She did not want him.
The publicist set her up on a date with him to dance the salsa and she RAN AWAY.

Nora gave the publicist THE GOAT STARE OF DEATH.
She maaaaed that she wanted nothing to do with Luke.
My studmuffin was heartbroken.

The publicist was very confused.
But then she got an idea!

She invited BREWSTER in to dance.
But not the salsa, he was not ready.
They did a little waltz instead.

Nora was very happy to be dancing with Brewster.
The publicist was surprised but there is no understanding love, is there.
They were very shy about their first dance together.

But they had a lovely date.

Until Nora gave the publicist THE GOAT STARE OF DEATH again.

She wanted to be left alone with Brewster.
I can't say I blame her.

Brewster seems to be growing up to be a very romantic little buck.
Hopefully they will have had a successful waltz and there will be kids in July.
Keep your hooves crossed!
