I am Hiding

Can you see me?
Would you like to know why?
I will maaaaa to you why.
There are a couple of reasons.

First - IT SNOWED.
Again.
LOTS.
Like 8 inches lots.
The male person had to plow.

The publicist gave me my hay in my goathouse.
Wasn't that nice of her?
But then those rotten little kids invaded my space!

They started eating my hay!
Is nothing sacred?!
Harumph!

I was glad when it was time to go back to the warm, dry barn.
Then those little monsters would be locked up in a pen.

MORE Snow!

We woke up today to MORE snow!
What is going on.
The male person says it's winter and we should be happy it's snowing.
The male person is crazy.

Luke the goat did not seem very upset by it.
He just prowled around his pen.

The publicist found some tracks up by the barn in the snow.
Do you know what made these?

Can you guess?
Here is a close up if you need some help....

...it seems we have some winter boarders around the Farm.
Did you guess yet?

Did you guess bunny rabbit?
If you did you are right!
It's a good thing Sherpa the Farm cat is not going outside much right now as he has a tendency towards erm, apprehending bunny rabbits.

She found other tracks too.
Can you guess what tracks these are?

Did you guess yet?
I'm sure you did!

They are mine!
Hahahaha!
And there are the publicist's.

I'm keeping track too....bwamaaahahahaha.

Oh Snow!

We are right in the middle of a BIG winter storm.
It's true!
I would not lie.

I am NOT a happy goat.
You can see I am wearing my goat-ure again.
It is indeed cold once more.

Brrrrrr!
I do not like cold.
I would really like it to be warm and sunny again.
Instead of being a goatsicle.

Rudy feels the same way.
The publicist says that we are supposed to have anywhere from 12 - 18" of snow by tomorrow.

THAT WOULD BURY POOR BERNADETTE!
We do not want to lose her in the snow.

I can maaaa to you that we were ALL happy to go up to the barn today.
The publicist gave us all nice hot water to drink, fresh hay to eat and APPLES!
She is so good to us.
She even brushed all of the snow off of our backs.

Even mine!
I had a LOT of snow on my goat-ure.
Then the male person went to work.

I can only maaaa that he made a LOT of noise.
But the publicist said he had fun playing with his green and yellow toy.

It Snowed Yet AGAIN!

Can you believe it?
I am starting to think we are living the days over and over again.
The publicist brought us out of the barn but we wanted right back in.
We are not stupid goats!

It is much nicer in a warm, dry barn with yummy hay.
Right Louise and Bernadette?
You remember them coming in from Mother Nature's fury - right?

That's much better, isn't it?
No snow on you!

Same for Thelma and Keith/
Right guys?
Thelma? Keith?
I guess they are too busy eating.
I don't blame them!

And now all of you ladygoats get ready.
Here is the glamour shot.....

Oh yeah.
Have I made your day?
You are jealous of me, aren't you?
I know you are.
You all want to come live on the Farm.
But he's mine.....all mine (and I guess the other does.)

You Will NOT Believe it!

It snowed.
AGAIN.
I for one am getting tired of this.

And this is not the worst of it.
It is going to get cold.
REALLY cold.
Like below 0° cold.

LOOK - this is what it is like around the Farm.
I am not a happy goat.

Many of you asked where my coat was when I showed you the pictures of me hiding on Saturday.
I will maaa you!
Even though it was snowing it was not all that cold.
Things have changed!

I am now embarrassed to report that I need to wear my coat.
I have been shivering.
I am the only goat that shivers.
The publicist says I should not be upset. She says that means I am like her! She shivers too!

I guess that's not so bad then.
And I do look lovely in my goat-ure coat.
Even if the snow is up to my knees!

I love the publicist. She always makes me feel special.

Oh, wait!
Before you go....

I have a favor to maaa....

Harumph!
I think she is lying to me.
What do you think?

A Goat's Eye View

It snowed yesterday.
You know what that means.
None of us would come out of the barn.
We don't like the snow.

Do you blame us?

Would you want to come out of the barn for this?

I didn't think so!
I'm going back in the barn.
Maybe I'll come out tomorrow.

Maybe....

ps:  I have been interviewed! By a FAMOUS AUTHOR! Her name is Melissa Guion and she has written two children's books about penguins. The publicist is giving her brand new book away later today on her blog. It's called Baby Penguins Love Their Mama. You can buy it here:

Amazon
B&N
IndieBound
iBook

My interview and the giveaway will be up later today. I will post the link for you tomorrow so you can go and see it. I am a very excited goat.

It Happened AGAIN!

Seriously.
I have had it.
Although I suppose it will happen many more times before the winter is out.

What you ask?

IT SNOWED!
I would think Mother Nature would be kinder to us goats.

But NO!
More cold, white stuff all over.
Sheesh.
If you look closely you will my opinion.

OK - here it is. - It's fuzzy but you get the idea.
Pfffft!
That is how I feel.

I am not sure the boys are any happier.

And I KNOW Bernadette is not happy.
But at least they came out of the barn this time.

I am ready for the snow to go away again.
What about you? Do YOU have snow?

Thursday, January 31, 2013

Louise is CRAZY!

It snowed again yesterday and you must know that I am not happy about that!
As I have maaaaed and maaaaed and maaaaed I do not like snow.
But for some reason when Louise the goat exited the barn she did the Goat Dance of Joy!
For snow?
I will never understand the younger generation.
Here, look for yourselves.

If you cannot see the movie you can view it on YouTube HERE

What a silly goat.
Snow is nothing to dance about.
Snow is something to complain about.

I will have to have a long maaaaaa with my grandkid.

Farm Cat Friday - The Male Person Got His Wish

What was his wish you ask?
This....

LOTS AND LOTS AND LOTS AND LOTS AND LOTS OF SNOW.
In fact, it has been snowing since Sunday and as of my typing this it was STILL snowing.

The Farm cats are not happy about this.
Why you ask?

Because the snow is higher than they are!
Sherpa went out but he hid under the trailer.
He would not come out from under there.

Doesn't he look lonely?
The publicist went about her business and he was still there.

But she rescued him!
He jumped on her back and crawled up on her shoulder and they walked back to the yurt together. Isn't she nice?

Harry the Farm cat went out too.

He felt the need to explore.
Silly Harry!

He stayed close to the yurt where the snow hadn't piled up.
This is what he saw....

...then this is what he did.

No one ever said Harry was stupid!
It was a big snowy world out there for a small black and white cat.
He went back into the warmth of the yurt where he promptly took a nap.
Smart cat!

As for us goats....

....you will learn about us over the next few days.
It's not a happy tale. Just look at all that snow.
You can't even see Nora's legs!

All of us here on the Farm would like to wish a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY to a very special young lady today. She knows who she is!

This Is Just Not Right!

Before I launch into my goat rant I would like you all to stop and join with me and the other Happy Goats and maaaa:

Happy Birthday to you
Happy Birthday to you
Happy Birthday dear Matthew and Luke
Happy Birthday to you!

No not Matthew and Luke the goats! Matthew and Luke the publicist's nephews! It's their birthday today. I wonder if I will get cake? Apple cake would be good. Mmmmm. I hope the boys have a very happy day.

But on to my rant.
THIS is what I woke up to yesterday...

CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?!
SNOW!

Snow.
In APRIL!
The male person tells me to suck it up.
He tells me I live in Montana.
He tells me it could snow in July.

I tell him I want to move to Arizona.
He laughs in my face.
I should not have to see anymore snow.
I am tired of it.

If I could butt snow I would.
I would butt it to next winter where it belongs.
I mean, look at the garden....

...does it look anywhere near ready for planting?
No. It does not.
No tasty green things growing.
No corn!
No broccoli!
I was not happy and I let the publicist no it.

I mean really!
SNOW?!

I went to my favorite basking spot and sulked extreme basked.

This is a special skill and only certain goats can do it.
Special goats like me.
And I ignored the publicist.
Harumph!
