Do you want to know why?

Well I will maaaa you.

The male person went into the garden and then the publicist brought us this

TURNIP GREENS!
We have never had turnip greens before.
It was the first time the male person had grown them
They grew VERY well.

Guess what?!

I LOVE TURNIP GREENS!
That is why I am doing the goat dance of joy.

I am also eating lots of turnip greens.
So are the other goats.
But this is all about ME.
Mmmmm, they are yummy.

Would YOU like some turnip greens?

AbbyDay - I am a GardenGoat

It's AbbyDay, the best day of the week. I am the best goat on the Farm.

The male person was working in his garden growing all of those tasty vegetables for us goats.
WHAT DO YOU MEAN HE IS NOT GROWING THEM FOR US?!
Pffffffft!
He grows them for himself?!
He grows them for the publicist?!

That is crazy!
He is supposed to serve me!
I am AbbyGoat!
I will have to have a maaaa at him.

Anyway, he was working in MY garden and he was thinning out MY turnips and he brought ME some treats. As it should be!

I do love turnip greens.
They are very tasty.

Hey!
You cannot hide my beauty behind greens!
It will ALWAYS shine through.

I wear them well, I think.
The silly publicist! She helped give me my greens too.
You can see how happy I am!

The first taste of the garden is the best.
What do I see?

An abomination!
It should be MY photo on that sign.
What were you thinking publicist.
WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?!

Musical Spools

I am taking a break from all of the hard detective work today.
I think I deserve it!
I did a not of sniffing around and I have SOLVED the mystery.

I will tell you on Monday who STOLE they hay.
For now I want you to leave all of the worries of the missing munchies behind and just enjoy goats being goats.

Buster Brown the goat and his nanny were up on the spools when they decided to play a game of Musical Spools. This is a game we goats really enjoy.

Sarah hopped to the higher spool leaving Buster on the lower.
But what young buckling wants to stay on a lower spool?

Uh-huh!
NO young buckling!
Over he reached.
Of course there might have been a turnip green or two involved in all of this spool hopping. I cannot say for sure....

Then Sarah decided to jump down!
Did Buster Brown win?

What do you think?
Sarah the goat would not give in that easily!
But she figured she had shown her kid that she was "large and in charge" so she left and gave him the spools all to himself!

Lucky Buster Brown!
He did some goat yoga and got ready to show his stuff!
(Remember, it is important to stretch before exercising!)

He flew to the left!
The big spool was his.
But he missed his nanny...

...so down he jumped so he could be with her.

What a good kid!
His nanny was happy to see him and he was rewarded.

With a turnip green!
Lucky Buster Brown!

Silly Sunday - I Run and Hide with My Greens

It's true!
I ran and hid and the publicist followed me.
And she brought me some greens!
p.s. - I am up by the barn.

Shhhhh - don't tell the others!

I am a lucky goat!

That way the younger goats can't steal them from me.
It's tough getting old....

Braaaaaap!
Mmmm, they are mighty tasty!

Nora the Goat Enjoys Her Turnip Greens

Poor Nora the goat!
She tends to get ignored around the Farm.
That will change soon!
Her kid(s) is/are due this month so she will be more in the spotlight.

I thought it was only fair to show the fun that Nora had eating her turnip greens.
She needs to keep eating for the baby!

Just like the rest of us she had her own special pile of greens.

The publicist made sure that she was far away from Abbygoat.
(Abby can be sooooo greedy!)

Nora really liked the greens!
I think we have all decided that these are a big hit and we would like to see them again!

She chomped down her whole pile.
Good for Nora!

Hopefully the next time I write about her it will be to introduce her new kid(s)!

Brewster and Luke are Too Sexy for Their Turnip Greens

It's true!
Just look at those boys as they eat their treat.
Mmmm, my studmuffin really knows how to munch a green.

I think he is the handsomest cowgoat around.

Brewster had his turnip greens up on the spool.

It was his very first taste of greens and I think he liked them.

Luke has had beet greens but not turnip greens and he heartily approves!
There is nothing like a delicious snack in the middle of the day to make everything A-OK.

I heard the publicist say that there would be more turnip greens this weekend.
Doesn't that sound yummy?
She told me that she even put some away in the freezer for the male person.
Harumph!
They should ALL be for us!

AbbyDay - I am the QUEEN of the Turnip Greens

But you already knew that.
If you didn't you are pretty stupid not paying attention around here.
I am the Queen of Everything!

The publicist knew when she brought those greens in that I should have my own special pile.
She put them up on the spool so I could dine in splendor.

She's smart, that publicist.
She knows the feel of my horns.

I do not like to share. I do not feel a Queen should HAVE to share.
Pffffft!

I ate through my pile, enjoying EVERY nibble.
I was not going to leave any leftovers.
That is not my style.

I will tell you that these turnip green things are A-OK in Abby's book.
I suggest you try them.
But don't try and take mine!
Or YOU will feel my horns.

And I don't think any of you really want that, do you?

It's a Turnip Green Eating Orgy!

I was not the only goat to enjoy those turnip greens!
Oh no!
ALL of us got our first taste of the yummy goodness from the garden.

It was the kids' very first time for a goat treat.
Isn't that exciting?
It is always fun when they discover a new food.

Little Buster Brown hopped up on a spool with his nanny.

He gave them a good sniff and decided if his nanny was eating them they MUST be good.

Then he picked a BIG green out.

But it was too big so he tossed it aside.

He then picked up a Buster Brown sized turnip green.

Much better.
This one he could hold up and munch.

Mmmmm, he really enjoyed that didn't he?
Smart kid, that Buster Brown!
