Farm Cat Friday - Harry the Farm Cat is Feeling All Better!

Harry the Farm cat would like to thank everyone who send all of the purrs and positive thoughts his way. He did not have to go the VET and he is now back to his normal cat self.
The publicist thinks he ate something he should not have and he just had to wait while it worked its way through his little cat body.

She thinks it happened when he ESCAPED!
It's true!
Harry the Farm cat escaped the yurt and went exploring.
The publicist was worried because Harry is such a little cat he would make a good appetizer for the eagle.

She went out looking for him but he was like a little black and white streak. He had several adventures that I will tell you about in the coming Farm Cat Friday posts.  First she saw him by the big truck that pulls the trailer.

But he would not come when the publicist called his name.
Oh no! He was OUT and he was going to have FUN!

He ran off, but where did he go?
Did Stinky the Farm cat see where he went?
She had a bird's eye view!

The publicist looked all over but no Harry!
But then she found some more help!

Sherpa the Farm cat!
Would HE find Harry?

He looked and looked and looked!

He looked under the trailer.

He looked under the male person's old motorcycle.
No luck!

Wait! Is that a meow?

HARRY THE FARM CAT!
Coming out from under the shed!

Get him, get him!
But NO!
He saw the publicist and he RAN.
Ran like the wind!

Right into this!
UH-OH!
What are those chickens going to do to Harry?!
You will have to come back next week to see!

I also must tell you that Isobelle Golightly the Beautiful Goat won my contest for my 1,000th post and I have sent her her choice of soaps. I thank everyone who commented to enter and all of you for continuing to read my blog.

Freedom! Freedom! At Least for a Little While

The other day the publicist was in the pen bringing us minerals and while all the other goats were trying to trample her to get to them I ran out!

It's true!
She didn't even realize I was gone.
Well, that's not true.
She saw me in the male person's garden.

I was munching on the old plants.

Mmmmm, dried plant.
TASTY!
She told me I had to go back to the doe pen.

I maaaaed NO WAY!
I was free
and I was going to stay that way.

I made a run for it.
I was going to explore!
I went over to the chicken house. It's a good place to find some GRAIN!

Hey rooster! Where's the grain?

I know you have it here somewhere.
But the publicist caught up to me and was trying to herd me back to the pen.

NO! NO! I will not GO!

There is more exploring to do.
I fooled her into thinking I was a good goat but trotting back towards the pen but...

HA!
I went to explore the bits of wood and bark left over from when the male person chopped the wood.

Mmmmm, bark.
TASTY!

I guess I just wanted some snacks.
But by now the publicist caught me around the collar and I was done.
I ended up back in the pen.

Eating minerals like the rest of the does.
Not so bad, I guess.
But my run for freedom was sure fun while it lasted....

Kringle Escapes!

That little Kringle!
He has found the hole in the gate that the chickens use to go in and out.
So he went out!
Where did he go?

He went to visit his daddy of course.

I am not sure what they were maaaaaing about, but I am sure Luke gave him some important goat information that only bucks know.

You can see he was listening carefully!

Brewster said MAAAAA! too.

He had fun checking out the buck pen - from the outside; he is too little to go inside.

But then he heard his nanny calling him so he ran back to the doe pen.

But where is the hole?

I know it's here someplace!

Aaaah, back where he belongs eating Christmas Tree-t!

Silly Kringle!

All of us here on the Happy Goats Farm would like to wish you human a Happy Martin Luther King Day!

AbbyDay - I Give Kringle an Idea

It's AbbyDay! I am here to tell you that it is about time that the focus on this Farm returned to where it belongs.
To ME!

Therefore I am showing something to little Kringle.
There is a gap at the gate.

It's not big enough for a big goat to fit through.

But it is big enough for a little goat to fit through.
Do you think he will go?
Bwahahahaha!

Then it will be back to a Farm without a cute kid.
It can be all Abby, all the time!

Escape little Kringle, escape!
The whole wide world awaits.

But if I know the publicist she will notice and just bring him back.
Drat!
What can I do next?

I do want to wish all of you humans out there a Happy New Year. Pricilla will be taking tomorrow off from blogging because she is old and lazy it is a holiday. She will be back on Sunday with a new post for the New Year.

What Did The Publicist See....?

The publicist looked out her window and what did she see?
I will tell you!
Two goats in the neighbor's field!
That's what.

Mallory and Marion had somehow gotten out of the goat pen.
How did they do it?

Through a hole in the fence!
The chickens had made a wallow and they were going in the neighbors field and somehow Mallory managed to fit under too.

The publicist was NOT happy.
She yelled for Mallory and Marion to return.

Mallory skulked but did not come back.

They both looked further afield as if they were going to run away!
(Please, please, please! Mallory is a bullygoat!)
But they came back.

Be sure to come back tomorrow when I will announce little No-Name's new name and the winner of my rich soap!

What?!

I was out for my graze the other day and I saw something.
It made my hairs stand on end

Then Matthew saw it too.

What could it be?
Are you curious?

Mallory saw it too and went over and gave it a big sniff.
She is courageous, that Mallory!

SHERPA THE FARM CAT!

He had escaped.
Bad Sherpa!

Mallory scared Sherpa and he went under the male person's truck.

It took him a while to come out!
Silly Sherpa!

Screen? What Screen

Sherpa the Farm Kitten seems to think it is very unfair that Stinky and Pumpkin get to go outside and he has to stay inside.
He has been looking for ways to make his escape!

The publicist was cooking a big birthday dinner for the male person and she opened one of the windows in the trailer and of course Sherpa went to investigate.

He discovered that the screen was not attached very well.
He peaked out.

Hmmm, he thought. This might work.

"Hey Goat, is this the way to freedom?"

Uh oh!

He finally realized that the publicist was the one taking the photos and back in he went.
Silly Sherpa!

Tomorrow: It's AbbyDay!

One of These is Not Like the Other

We have been having some challenges around the Farm these days. Let's just say that there are holes in certain fences for certain, erm goats. (Hi my studmuffin!) This can create, let's just say issues.

Here I am wondering why the publicist is taking pictures and not dealing with the issue at hand

Which is basically: one of these is not like the other!

 Can you guess which one?
That's right!

Luke the goat keeps escaping from his pen and getting into the doe pen. I appreciate that my studmuffin wants to come visit but there are times for such things and my little buck has to learn some restraint!

The publicist is about ready to lock Luke up in the barn if he doesn't stay in his pen. I have to admit I would miss his little face if that was to happen. So everybody keep your fingers crossed that Luke gets to stay in his pen.

Tomorrow: A Happy New Year AbbyDay
