Flirty Doe Marion!

Ooooh that Marion!
She has been very flirty with the boys lately.
Instead of going into the doe pen yesterday she ran right over to the buck pen and started wagging her tail at BREWSTER!

What is going on here?
Does no doe like my studmuffin any more?
I guess that is good for me.
I will have him all to myself!
Maaahaaamaaahaaamaaahaa!

Luke did not care for being ignored so he charged right up to the two little flirters!

I don't think they noticed him at first.
Then Brewster did the goat stomp
But Luke has those horns and Brewster soon ran out of the way.

Marion, though only had eyes for Brewster!

By now the publicist was tired of waiting for her by the doe pen gate and she yelled for Marion to hop to!

Marion FINALLY ran into the doe pen.
Whew!
I was getting tired of waiting too.

My poor studmuffin....

Somegoat Has the Bucks on her Mind

Somegoat has been bellowing lately.
It seems she is trying to attract the attention of the bucks.

She stands at the gate and sticks her head out of a hole in the fence and stares at them
and MAAAAAAAs

ALL DAY LONG!
She is also wagging her tail at them.
The hussy!

I just stand back and bask in the sun like a well behaved doe.
You would never find me behaving that way now, would you?!

Marion the Goat Maaas, "I'm Doing OK!"

Marion the goat wanted to let you all know that she is doing OK!

Her little goat world was rocked on its side when her nanny and her brother went away.

Suddenly she had no family in the pen.
She felt like she had no-one.
She had always had her nanny to protect her.

Now she was gone!
But Marion is a tough goat and she has now adjusted to being the only Toggendwarf on the Farm.

She figures that makes her SPECIAL!

I am not so sure since I now have to share a pen with her.
I think I should have my own pen.
But that is neither here nor there.

Marion is doing A-OK and that is what is important.

Right?

Christmas Tree-t Part III

Today I bring you the cutest photos of our Christmas tree-t.
Kringle, of course!
This was his very first taste of tree and he really enjoyed himself.

Of course he wasn't quite sure at first what that big green thing was.

But he watched his nanny and me munch on the tree and he soon learned that it was a tasty goat snack.

Mallory, being an older goat dug right in.

Marion took her time but ended up enjoying it very much.

Little Kringle seemed to like the trunk of the tree the best.

He spent most of his time munching the bottom.

Well, fiber is fiber, right?
When he was done munching he then went and had a nice drink of milk.

It's so tough being a kid!

Many of you were so nice to ask about my studmuffin and little Brewster. They did not get a tree but the publicist did cut them some branches from a tree on the lot so they did have some pine to eat.  Thank you for thinking of them.

Tomorrow the tale of the Christmas Tree-t finishes up with AbbyDay!

Is it Spring Yet?

The publicist has told me I have to stop asking this since it isn't even winter yet.
WHAT?!
How can it not be winter with all this cold weather and snow?
The publicist says that winter doesn't arrive until next week.
Harumph I say to this. HARUMPH!

I think I should be an island goat.

And just look at this!
Marion the goat has taken my favorite basking spot.

Can you believe your eyes?!
When the publicist came out to check on us I went running to her.

I wanted to talk to her about this.
It is MY basking spot.
I explained it to her very nicely.

She told me that Marion is still a young goat and will learn her place and for me to be patient.

PATIENT!
I gave the publicist my best goat stare of death.

I don't think she was impressed.
Not when Marion the goat gives her a smile.

I wish I were a young goat again.
Harumph!

Marion the Goat Says, " MAAAAAAA!"

Marion the goat feels that since little Brewster arrived she has been forgotten.
She would like to remind you all that she is still here and that she is still cute.

In fact she let the publcist know this today with a very loud MAAAAAA!
(Marion likes to yell)

She wants to know how you could forget her adorable little face.

and a cute smile

She does admit to being a bit, erm plump...

But that it is because she is always first in line to get to the barn for grain!

THAT is only because I don't run as fast as I used to!

What Did The Publicist See....?

The publicist looked out her window and what did she see?
I will tell you!
Two goats in the neighbor's field!
That's what.

Mallory and Marion had somehow gotten out of the goat pen.
How did they do it?

Through a hole in the fence!
The chickens had made a wallow and they were going in the neighbors field and somehow Mallory managed to fit under too.

The publicist was NOT happy.
She yelled for Mallory and Marion to return.

Mallory skulked but did not come back.

They both looked further afield as if they were going to run away!
(Please, please, please! Mallory is a bullygoat!)
But they came back.

Be sure to come back tomorrow when I will announce little No-Name's new name and the winner of my rich soap!

Marion the Goat Meets No-Name

As you know little No-Name is now cavorting in the big goat pen.
This means Marion the goat is no longer the baby in the pen.
I am not sure she is happy about this.

She saw little No-Name and decided to check him out.

She gave him a good sniff.

She even gave hime the goat stomp but the publicist didn't get a photo.
The goat stomp!
To little, tiny No-Name.
That was not nice.
Not nice AT ALL.

So Sarah the goat decided she had better intervene.
Little Marion ran back to her nanny and No-Name was left with his nanny.

All was right in the goat pen.

Marion Entertains Us

That little Marion!
She thinks she is some kind of goat star.

She is always looking to be the center of attention.
Ok, Ok, I know she is cute.
And she is the baby of the Farm.
This automatically makes her the center of attention.
(Abby would strongly disagree!)
But she goes and does things like this...

Yes, she jumps up on anything she can and MAAAAAAAS in the loudest voice ever heard on this Farm
Until everygoat (and human and cat and chicken) is looking at her.
Then satisfied that she has been noticed.
She calmly jumps down and goes about her business.
Silly Marion!

Marion Shows You the Best Way to Eat Hay

Harumph!
Marion the goat seems to think SHE knows the best way to eat hay.

She is only a kid!
How could she possibly know the best way to eat hay?
How could she know better than the rest of us goats?

Harumph I say, Harumph!

But so as not to seem like an old goat who can't learn new tricks I will watch.
With my back turned....

As Marion the Goat demonstrates this supposedly great technique.
So here she is

I know...she is cute.
But that has nothing to do with eating hay!

Oh Wow! She does get right in that feeder, doesn't she?

She is buried in the hay!

I don't think big goats can do that though. Our heads won't fit!
This is hay eating for kids.
Hmmmmm, maybe that is the whole plot plan.

Do you trust that face?
She does look like she enjoyed her hay....

Marion the Goat Helps Out

You will recall that the male person asked us to eat up a big weed bush on the Farm.
We are doing our best to help him because he is so good to us.
Little Marion is even doing her best to help the male person.

Isn't that sweet!
Little Marion who can't even reach up to where the leaves are on the weed bush is trying to work to kill it so the male person will be happy.

Amazing.
Especially considering her mother is bully goat Mallory!

She just hopped right over there and started nibbling on the branches.

She was doing a very good job of it if I do say so myself.
And I would know. I am an expert nibbler.

Although it did seem after a while she just wanted to be left to her eating.

I detect the goat stare of death.
Hmmm, perhaps she does have a bit of her mother in her after all.....
