Oh, HI!

Harley here.
I wanted to thank everyone for all of your positive thoughts when I was not feeling well.
I just wanted to let you know that I am 100% back to normal.

I am eating like a little piggie goat.
At least that's what the publicist says.

Do I look like a piggie goat to you?
I think I look like a hungry goat.
Goat kids need to eat a lot so they can grow big and strong.

After being so sick I really want to make sure I grow big and strong.
My nanny keeps an eye on me.
I still drink her rich milk. I'm sure it helps me grow too.

It's nice we can share our breakfast together.
Then I'll go running to play with my cousins.
So, thank you all.
Have a great day.

I Want THAT Piece

Since things are drying up there is not much around to eat around here but hay.
The publicist has been giving us plenty of yummy hay to munch.
I am glad that I have my own hay bucket because those other goats are a little crazy.

You don't believe me?
Watch!

AbbyGoat and Louise were sharing the hay bucket in their pen.
I know this is rather shocking.
AbbyGoat usually does not share anything.
But Louise had been there first.

They seemed to be doing just fine.
Eating almost peacefully together.
But then they seemed to want the exact same piece of hay!

It got a little ugly.
You see AbbyGoat's furs?
She was a little mad.
Then she got a lot mad.

THAT is not nice AbbyGoat!
But it IS AbbyGoat.
Isn't it?

Luke Week - Good to the Last Piece

That Luke the goat really enjoys his hay.
I mean he REALLY enjoys his hay.
Every morning the publicist gives him his flake of hay on top of his recycled Shop-Vac and he tears into it.

He spreads it around his pen and he eats up all the best bits.
Doesn't he look blissful?
You would think he would go off an graze in his pen now, wouldn't you?

Not our Luke!
He knows there is gold to be found.
Goat gold!
HAY DUST.

He doesn't let any of it get away from him!
One day that thing is going to get that thing stuck on his head!

Then he noticed the publicist.
What an opportunity!

He put on his sweetest smile and maaaed, "Do you have any treats for me?"
What do YOU think happened?

AbbyDay - Munch, Munch, Nom, Nom - Uh, WHAT?

It's AbbyDay - the best day of the week written by the best goat on the Earth.

::munch, munch, munch, chew, chew, chew, nommity, nom::

Oh, I didn't know I had an audience!
It is my breakfast time.
A goat should be able to eat in PEACE!

I know it's AbbyDay and I'm supposed to give you all the brilliance of Abby but I'm HUNGRY.
As you know I hadn't been feeling well.
I'm really feeling better now and I have to gain back all of the weight I lost.

I can't think of a better way to do that than by EATING.
So that is what I am TRYING to do but some publicist is taking my photo.
I am NOT camera ready.

I do not think this is RIGHT.
If she wanted me to be a SuperModelGoat she should have warned me and I would have preened a little.
Sheesh!

So these are the shots she gets.
At least I will soon be back to my fighting weight.
And then I can butt show her!

How would YOU like to be interrupted while YOU where eating?
I rest my case.

What? It Still Tastes Good!

Would you like to know something?

I does not matter how you eat it.
Hay tastes good.

It does not matter if some gets stuck on your head.
Hay tastes good.

It doesn't matter if the other goats laugh at you.
Hay tastes good.

RIGHT?

AbbyDay - I Review the Standlee Hay

I was given this free Standlee Hay to give you my honest opinion! Me! AbbyGoat! Well, the other goats got to eat some too - but I'm the best at maaaing the results!

The publicist and the male person came home and the back of the trailer was filled with the most amazing thing for a goat -

HAY!
We love hay!
Especially rich alfalfa grass.
Mmmmmm, hay.
But these look different than our normal hay.
These are super compact bales! They are put in a special machine that squished them really, really hard and compressed them. Each one weighs 50 pounds!

That is a lot of hay for ME!

The male person offered up a taste of this yummy hay when we were heading up to the barn.
Since I am not afraid of him, me and my kids were able to taste the delicious hay.
I did not want to stop eating it!
I am ashamed to admit I did not want to share - wait a minute! I am AbbyGoat - why should I share?

Yes I eat out of an old laundry basket. Do you have a problem with that?
When I went out to my pen the next morning, guess what I saw in the feeder?
YOU ARE RIGHT!
Delicious afalfa hay and timothy hay  from Standlee Hay Company waiting for me!

I was one excited goat.
Too excited the publicist said.
She said this is very rich hay and I cannot eat too much of it at once since it is a change in my diet.
WHAT?!
But it is so delicious.

I can hardly keep my head out of my feeder!
(Can I get addicted to hay?)

There is this awful rumor going around that she had to DRAG ME from the hay pile as I was gobbling up the tasty hay. Do not believe it!
BUUUUUUURRRRRRP!

If you cannot see the movie you can watch it on YouTube HERE

Despite what is mentioned in that movie I DO NOT GRUNT LIKE A PIG!
I am a ladylike goat.

Now I am sure that all of you goats out there - and my horse, sheep and llama friends too - would like to know how you can find this yummalicious hay and alfalfa pellets! Well, I will maaaaa you. 'Cause I am a nice goat.  You can go to Standlee Hay Company and there is a "find a retailer." That is how the publicist found it for me. She just put in our zip code and it provided several near us.

You can also find Standlee Hay Company on Facebook and on Twitter

OK! The publicist will be telling you more about the yummy hay tomorrow on her blog when the other goats on the Farm give their totally unimportant opinions. Since I love the hay that is really all that matters, right?

Disclosure:  The publicist received a gift card from Standlee Hay with which to buy me the delicious hay. I grunted maaaaed my approval of the hay and she typed up her interpretations of my grunts maaas. Neither one of us received any other compensation for this post. I did butt the publicist for saying I grunted like a pig. She deserved it.

Silly Ricky! Hay is for EATING

Ricky the goat is very silly.
He seems to think that hay is a fashion statement.
You think I am telling tales?

Judge for yourselves:

He thinks he is some kind of hay fashion model!
Do you see the sultry pose?
Do you see the look in his eye?
He should be EATING that hay now WEARING that hay!

His brother is not much better!
He is posing too but at least he is not wearing his food!
These two kids have a lot to learn.

*sigh*
At least they are EATING.

Snow Doesn't Bother Luke the ToughBuck

Snow doesn't bother Luke.
'Cause he's a ToughBuck!
He just goes about his day as if it were sunny and warm.

Well, he is a mangoat so all he really cares about is food and does, right?
He digs into his hay and he eats and eats and eats and eats and eats.

He barely comes up to breathe!
MEN!

I wonder if I were over there if I could distract him from his hay?
What do you think?

♪♪Hey Luke♪♪
♪♪Want to share some of that hay?♪♪

Hmmm, I guess not.
MEN!

Luke Hogs the Hay

My studmuffin is a piggie goat!
It's true.
He is keeping Buster Brown from eating the hay in the buck pen.
I do not think this is nice.

But we goats can be very, erm, protective of our food.
In fact, we can be downright butty about it.

Luke the goat was munching and Buster Brown just wanted a bit too.
I mean, I don't blame him! He needs to eat.

But Luke was not in a mood to share!

Luke chased Buster Brown away!
Oh no!
Poor Buster Brown!

The publicist called to Luke to talk to him.
She told him that he obviously had enough to eat since he was covered with hay!

Buster Brown expressed his displeasure to her.
HE WAS HUNGRY!

Erm, Luke was having nothing to do with this SHARING stuff and chased Buster Brown. He chased him right into the goat house.

Any time he stuck his head out even a little bit, Luke would explain to him in no uncertain terms that the hay pile was LUKE'S!

Finally Luke was full and Buster could come out and eat.
Poor Buster Brown!

Now there are TWO hay piles.
Silly bucks!

AbbyDay - AAAAAABBBBBBBBYYYYYYYY!

It's AbbyDay the best day of the week. I think that I am so hot I could melt all of the snow - what do you think?

I don't know what the publicist's problem is.
I came out of the barn and I was inspecting the hay pile for damage after the big snow storm.
You saw how the snow was trying to eat our hay!

THAT is not to be allowed.
I wanted to make sure it was A-OK.
That is the kind of goat I am.
It had NOTHING to do with the fact that I wanted to eat hay.
Nothing AT ALL.

Then I heard this horrible screeching sound.
It was ungodly!
AAAAAAAABBBBBBBBBBBYYYYYYYYYY!

I finally figured out it was the publicist!
Oh My Goat!
She was YELLING.
AT ME!

What does she think I am?
Pffffft!
I am ABBYGOAT!
You do not yell at ME!

But she was not sounding happy so I decided to run down to her just so SHE would think I was coming in a hurry. Not because I was.

It was all a show.

Like the publicist really thinks she can control ME!

All of that screeching and yelling because I was a little bit late for goat yoga!
Pfffft!
Stupid publicist!
