On The Hunt for Bark
Ooooh, we were lucky goats! The publicist let us run around a bit before we went into our pen the other day and we all went running to munch on the bark of the trees. I hope Julia doesn't get too mad at us but the bark just tastes so good it's hard for us to resist.
Jillian must have REALLY been hungry because it looks like she is trying to climb the tree, doesn't it?
She was munching away. Mmmmm, bark.
Abigail chose another tree; this way she could have both bark AND pine needles. Now that is smart tree picking if you ask me.
She dove right in for tasty nibble. I was jealous, I will tell you that.
After we had our fill of trees we were trying to decide where to go next. I had my idea and Jillian had hers. We disagreed!
Who do you think won?
You will have to wait until Thursday to find out!
Tomorrow: Wordless Wednesday

Like Father Like Son
It is very funny to watch Luke the goat and then watch Kevin. They will go and do the exact same things. Now Kevin does not spend time with his father but instinct is strong in goats.
Luke was out grazing the other day and he came upon the wood pile and what does he do? He starts to rub his horns on the branches.
The bucks do this to mark their territory. It also feels good. I know this because I do it too.
Luke rubbed and rubbed on the branch and then took some nibbles. Bark is very tasty you know and full of fiber.
Later that day Kevin and I were out for a graze and lo and behold I spy Kevin and what is he doing? Rubbing his tiny little horn buds on the branches of the wood pile.
Just like his daddy.
Then he had some nibbles of bark. Isn't he cute?
OK! Today is the last day to be eligible for the drawing for THREE BARS of my rich soap. THREE BARS humans. That's a lot of soap! Random.org will pick the winner in the morning tomorrow and the publicist will notify that person. They will have 72 hours to get back to her with their choices from my shop. Cool!

Mmmmmm, Bark.
Abby loves to eat bark. I enjoy it too but it is a real favorite of Abby's. Since she uh, detained me I have learned that perhaps I need to spend a little more time talking about her. Perhaps she will be nicer to me....
The publicist let us our for a very nice graze the other day and we wandered over to the big wood pile. It is fun to explore the wood pile. There are logs to climb on and lots and lots of bark to nibble. Abby had a very good time since as I mentioned bark is one of her favorite grazing treats. I like the occasional lichen and I gobble Old Man's Beard (this is a moss) any time I can find it but I don't attack the bark like my kid.
I like to look for the new green weeds just peaking up out of the ground. Super yummy if you ask me. I am so glad that in spite of more snow signs of Spring are starting to appear. Soon I will have lots of green.
Abby can have her logs!
