Dona Nobis Pacem - #BlogBlast4Peace

We goats have been blogging for Peace for many years now.
We are very disappointed that our efforts have not resulted in the end of War.

We have sat down for Peace
We have stood up for Peace
We gave War the raspberry
We have maaaed for Peace
We have smiled for Peace

We have tried so very hard in our own goatish way to encourage Peace in the world. So this year I did not know what to do. I am about to give up. I do not think the world is listening to a small herd of goats in Montana. I do not think the world cares.

But the publicist told me that we cannot give up. We must always try to do good in this world. For if everygoat gives up then the bad guys will win. So I asked the Farm cats to join us goats and to have their meows join with our chorus of maaas to sing a song of Peace for the world. Let's hope that does the job.

So please join us as we MAAAAA and MEOW  for peace in the hopes that this might work.
Be sure to follow #blog4peace #blogblast4peace #peace on Facebook and twitter to see all of the beautiful Peace Globes - now and forever.

Intruders in the Grazing Fields?

As I mentioned on Saturday we were all out enjoying the sunshine and grazing.
But we were not alone!
There were INTRUDERS in our grazing areas!
Can you believe such a thing?
I would not lie!

Look!
Do you see?
Sherpa the Farm cat thinks he's hiding but we can see him.
Silly Sherpa!

What does he think he is doing?
He is not a goat!
Hey! Harry the Farm cat is here too.

WHAT is going on?

Thelma and Alex were munching on a weed tree - yes there is one in the gully so we can still have our tasty treat!
Look who is there!

Is there no where we goats can go to get away from these Farm cats?
Thelma and Alex decide to go somewhere else.
Maybe up where AbbyGoat is grazing.

She seems to be Farm cat free...AAAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHH!
Do you see?
Even AbbyGoat can't graze alone!
Stinky the Farm cat is spying on her.

What?! Now Harry is even EATING our weeds!
Harry they are our weeds - you go find a mousie.

I don't care that you want to lounge in the cool, green grass.
WE ARE GRAZING!
Where am I you ask?

I am not a stupid goat.
I am keeping far, far away from those theiving Farm cats.

They will not bother me here!
I am safe!

Farm Cat Fascination

The Farm cats have some new entertainment.
I will maaaa to you that I am helping in this.
How you ask?
Well I will maaaa to you.

The publicist and the male person were worried about all of the little birdies with all of the snow.
So they decided they should put some food out for them.
But the only food they had was my goat grain.

MY goat grain.
Of course they did not ask me if I wanted to share.
I would have maaaaed yes of course but it would have been nice to be asked.
It is MY goat goat grain after all.

How does this lead to new entertainment for the Farm cats?

The birdies are eating my goat grain on the deck.
This has led to some bird watching.

First one Farm cat.

Then two Farm cats.

Then three Farm cats.

Then it was back to one Farm cat.

and two Farm cats.

and three Farm cats.
But for some reason, never four Farm cats.
Very strange that.

The birdies enjoyed my goat grain.
They ate a fair bit of it.
The male person is going to get some bird food on Monday.
We would not want the birdies to starve.

Or the Farm cats to go without entertainment.

The Farm Cats Get an Early Christmaaaa Present

The publicist is very good to all of us here on the Farm.
It's true!
I would not maaaa a lie!

She noticed that the Farm Cats had really done a job on their cat scratcher so she decided that for Christmaaaa she would get them a new one. They had done such good work writing blog posts for Hill's Science Diet they deserved a little reward.

It arrived on Friday and they are very excited about it!
Harry the Farm cat gave it a very good sniff (I will not confirm nor deny the presence of catnip to entice them onto this new cat tree.)
You can see that the publicist put the warming pad that the Farm cats won from Daisy the Curly Cat on it for Stinky. She is old and needs the extra warmth.

The publicist did a lot of looking and finally chose this particular cat tree from Molly and Friends for a number of reasons. Mostly because she had a gift card to Amazon but also because it was made in the USA, came in one piece and had sisal on the one post. She is hoping that lasts a little longer than carpet.

Harry and Sherpa have been giving it a really good workout.
There are rumors of a movie later this week!

Stinky likes it too.
She has been on her warming pad and in the top section.

Unless she gets erm, removed by an orange blur.
Katie? Any tips?

The only cat who has not tried it is Pumpkin. But he never went on the old tree so this does not surprise the publicist.

So it is going to be a very Merry Christmaaaa for the Farm Cats!

A Day Outside with the Farm Cats

It was a nice and sunny day.
So the Farm cats were out enjoying themselves.
Stinky is an old cat much like I am an old goat so she just likes to sit and enjoy the view.

I wonder what she is watching.
Or maybe she is napping.
What do you think?
No matter what it looks nice and tasty peaceful.

Now Sherpa and Harry are another story altogether.
Harry came bounding up and over the bank.

Why?
He looks nervous doesn't he?

What could be following him?
An evil river monster?
A great big mousie bent on revenge?

WHAT could it be?

What else?
A big, orange fluff ball!

I would run from that too!

The Farm Cats Report on Their Christmeow

I know it's supposed to be AbbyDay but she kicking and maaaaing gracefully gave up her day to the Farm cats so they could tell you all about their Christmeow. They had a very fine day from what I heard. It all started with a very special meal.

The publicist bought them Fancy Feast! They hardly ever get Fancy Feast because there are so many Farm cats and it's more than she has to spend on them.

They were very excited.

In fact, the publicist could not recall the last time she saw all four Farm cats lining up to eat like this.

It did not last long.
Harry the Farm cat decided that he should have some of Sherpa the Farm cat's treat.
That was not nice of Harry, was it?
Soon all of the Fancy Feast was gone.
Those Farm cats are fast eaters!

They had a nice rest and then came the fun!

What? You don't see the fun in a pile of wrapping paper?
Then you are not a cat.

The male person almost threw Sherpa the Farm cat out in the trash!
But his little head appeared just at the right moment!
Silly Sherpa the Farm cat.

He had a lot of fun playing in the wrapping paper.
It was almost as fun as his box.

Later they all got some 'nip and were running around like crazy cats. There are no photos. It was too blurry....
But they had lots of Christmeow fun!

AbbyDay will be back next week.
She said she had better be or someone was going to get it.
That Abby!

What the Farm Cats Saw

You will remember that yesterday I showed you the Farm cats all looking at something in the yurt.
What could it be?
Some of you thought the yurt had a mouse!

EEEK!
This is not true.

The yurt had a visitor!
Black Cat.

You will recall that I introduced you to Black Cat a while ago in THIS POST.
He decided to come into the yurt to check it out.

While visiting he ate some of the Farm cats' food and this happened.

Then he left.
Which was probably good for Harry the Farm kitten.

A Question Answered

As I am sure you are aware the Farm cats live a rough life around these parts.
I was asked how they sleep.
If they manage to find somewhere safe to bed down at night.

I will be honest...
They do not have a warm barn to go into every night like we goats do.
They do not have nice hay to rest on.

They are forced to sleep in horrible conditions!
It is deplorable.
Just look for yourself.

Poor Sherpa...

Look how uncomfortable Stinky is...

And Harry?

Harry has to sleep in the publicist's sweater drawer.

IN HER SWEATER DRAWER!
Can you imagine such a thing?
The horror.

Poor Pumpkin could not even be found. I think he was too depressed in his sleeping place.
The publicist mentioned something about the box with the sleeping bags.

Those poor, poor Farm cats.
