I don't know.
Things were just not the same while the publicist gone.
I mean look at this!
Stinky wanted to go inside.
It was cold around these parts and she is an old cat.
Then Harry decided he wanted in too.
What is taking him so long.
Get a move on male person!
We're waiting!
Sheesh!
It's about time.
Male person - you were no publicist.

Farm Cat Friday - The Farm Cats Taste a New Food
Product provided.
The Farm cats were sent a box. It was full of food.
Cat food from a company called "I and love and you"
Natural kibble and grain free canned food and freeze dried treats.
Harry gave it a thorough sniff test.
Erm, and taste test.
He approved.
In fact it was a crowded taste testing.
They went back and forth between the kibble and the natural canned cat food.
Fortunately no fights ensued.
Stinky stayed the longest of all the cats. She never passes up a meal.
She is one smart Farm cat!
Pumpkin checked it all out.
Pumpkin is the world's fussiest cat. He eats something like two foods. But never the same two foods.
He drives the publicist mad.
Maybe next week he will like this food but for now three out of four Farm cats like the "I and love and you" food very much. The publicist did note though that none of them liked the freeze dried
cat treats. Who knows what is up with them?
Given the fussiness of Pumpkin the publicist considered this a very successful taste testing. When three out of four Farm cats like a certain food she does a happy dance. It's not easy keeping that many kitties happy.
"I and love and you" has this to say:
They are a company that wants to make both you and your kitties and doggies happy. Yes, they make dog food and treats too!
You can see everything they have to sell on their website: iandloveandyou.com

Farm Cat Friday - Stinky Meows it to the World
I don't know what got into Stinky the Farm cat the other day.
We were out grazing - actually I was trying to hide from the heat - and I heard all of this caterwauling.
What in heavens name was Stinky meowing about?
Can any of you tell me?
If you cannot see the movie you can watch it on YouTube HERE
So, what is up with Stinky the Farm cat?
Does she just want attention?

Farm Cat Friday - Sherpa is Hard at Work
Sherpa here!
I really must meow that I am one hard working Farm cat.
In fact, I think I am the ONLY hard working Farm cat around this place.
I am here blogging away to tell you about a BIG EXCITING CATASTIC EVENT and where are the other Farm cats? Well, I'll meow you where!
They are sleeping!
SLEEPING!
When there is so much work to be done.
Srsly Harry. Can you not even open one eye to help me-out here? Too much time chasing mousies?
Sheeesh.
And Stinky? Exactly what is it YOU do all day?
It seems to me NAPPING is what you do all day.
CAN YOU HEAR ME IN THERE?
I have a big meow-ncement. It concerns all of us.
We will ALL have to work.
It's for a Good Cause!
At least Pumpkin is awake.
Are you ready to work, Pumpkin?
How about you Harry?
Harry?!
HARRY!
Good heavens.
I guess I am going to have to do all the meowing myself.
So here goes!
I am very happy to announce...
It is a week long celebration on our blog and the publicist's blog.
It will take place from July 21 - 25 and there will be reviews and giveways of great cat products.
There will be giveways for your favorite shelter.
We will have guest posts from Famous Blogging Cats.
AND we will be fundraising for our favorite shelter, AniMeals in Missoula, MT.
The Event ends on the publicist's birthday where we will have a commentathon.
As it gets closer I will meow to you all of the great companies participating.
Are you excited?
If you are a Famous Blogging Cat and would like to join in the fun just let ME know because the other Farm cats are likely to be asleep. If you have a cat related product and would like to be featured you can contact the publicist for information (kaiminani at gmail dot com) and scheduling but get to her quickly because from what she tells me it's filling up fast!
Whew!
I think after all that hard work I deserve a nap myself.
WHAT?
What? What is wrong with how I sleep?
Why is everyone laughing?

Farm Cat Friday - A Special Message from the Farm Cats
Pumpkin the Farm cat here today.
I know.
You usually don't hear from me.
I am shy.
I like to sit quietly and watch the world go by.
But sometimes there are important messages that I feel I must meow.
Today I have one of those messages for you.
I have help from Stinky the Farm cat - you don't see her very often either as she isold mature and likes her beauty sleep. We like to let those young cats, Harry and Sherpa do most of the work around here. We are not stupid, are we Stinky?
Whaaaa? Did you meow something Pumpkin.
I'm getting a nice petting here and I didn't hear you.
I am a very spoiled girl. Sitting on the publicist's lap in the sun.
Oh, right! Right! We have work to do today!
Go ahead Pumpkin.
Share our important message!
Sheesh! I have to do everything!
We want to let you all know how important it is to take your pets to the Vet every year for a healthy pet check up. Even if nothing is wrong it's good to have the doctor look us over. Just like you humans go to your doctors once a year we should go too. We may not like it any more than you do but it should be done.
I agree Pumpkin. I don't like the vet AT ALL but I know that I have to go see him and get my shots.
(I don't like shots one bit but I know that since I go outside they protect me.) We both hope you like our message and hope you liked seeing the two of us today.
The very nice people from Healthy Pet are going to send us a nice blanket to sleep on but we feel strongly about this message.

Intruders in the Grazing Fields?
As I mentioned on Saturday we were all out enjoying the sunshine and grazing.
But we were not alone!
There were INTRUDERS in our grazing areas!
Can you believe such a thing?
I would not lie!
Look!
Do you see?
Sherpa the Farm cat thinks he's hiding but we can see him.
Silly Sherpa!
What does he think he is doing?
He is not a goat!
Hey! Harry the Farm cat is here too.
WHAT is going on?
Thelma and Alex were munching on a weed tree - yes there is one in the gully so we can still have our tasty treat!
Look who is there!
Is there no where we goats can go to get away from these Farm cats?
Thelma and Alex decide to go somewhere else.
Maybe up where AbbyGoat is grazing.
She seems to be Farm cat free...AAAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHH!
Do you see?
Even AbbyGoat can't graze alone!
Stinky the Farm cat is spying on her.
What?! Now Harry is even EATING our weeds!
Harry they are our weeds - you go find a mousie.
I don't care that you want to lounge in the cool, green grass.
WE ARE GRAZING!
Where am I you ask?
I am not a stupid goat.
I am keeping far, far away from those theiving Farm cats.
They will not bother me here!
I am safe!

Stinky the Farm Cat Vogues, Vogues, Vogues....♫♫♪♪♫
Strike a pose
Strike a pose
Vogue, vogue, vogue
Vogue, vogue, vogue
Look around, everywhere you turn are Farm cats
They're everywhere you go (look around)
You try everything you can to escape
From the cats that chase you so
When all else fails and you long to be
A Farm cat all alone to nap
I know a place where I can get away
It's called the cat tree and that's what it's for
soooooooo
Strike a pose
Strike a pose
Vogue, vogue, vogue
Vogue, vogue, vogue
Then nap, nap, nap
It's time to nap, nap, nap!
It's the Farm cat way, way, way.*

Farm Cat Friday - A SHOCKING Occurence
Before I share with you a never before seen and never again to be seen again occurrence I want to thank all of you who offered to adopt me. The publicist was QUITE PUT OUT that I would even consider leaving.
I guess I really wouldn't but it's nice for a goat to dream.
All of those descriptions of nice, warm locales had this doe feeling all toasty inside.
So I thank you my friends.
Now I want to share something shocking.
Even the publicist was amazed.
She came into the living room and saw this...
THREE Farm cats on the new cat tree!
Can you believe your eyes?
Even Sherpa the Farm cat was a little surprised to find Pumpkin there.
Pumpkin usually hides in dark corners.
Or on the male person's meditation cushion getting it all hairy.
The male person does NOT appreciate this.
But no, all three Farm cats were very peaceably sleeping on the cat tree.
It has not been seen again.....
It was THAT unusual.
Only topped by Harry the Farm cat and VisitorCat sharing the couch!
Will wonders in the yurt never cease?!

Farm Cat Friday - It's TOO Cold For Anything
Last night was the coldest night the Farm has EVER experienced since we have lived on it.
We all woke up and it was 22 BELOW zero!
That is just TOO COLD.
All of us goats were shivering.
Except Luke the goat.
I guess he really IS a toughbuck!
The publicist brought us out into the sunshine where it had warmed up to a nice and balmy 8 below zero by noon. Aren't we lucky goats? But by then we had gotten some nice hot water, some grain and some hay so most of us were feeling better.
I was still not so happy and AbbyGoat seems to be having a bit of a relapse.
It is, fortunately, supposed to get warmer from here on out.
Let's all hope so!
So what are the Farm cats doing in all of this cold?
What would you expect the Farm cats to be doing in all of this cold?
If you said nappin' you'd be right!
There has been a LOT of nappin' going on around the yurt.
And a lot of yawning.
And they are all very happy for the big, roaring fire.
Why can't we goats have a big roaring fire?

AbbyDay - Post Redux: A Story I Like
It's AbbyDay - the best day of the week written by the best goat on the Earth.
Harry loved his life on the Farm. His days were simple and full of fun. He got to frolic with his Uncle Kevin.
Who taught him the joy of playing in the magic wood pile.

While no one was looking he climbed the mountain of Heavenly Hay thinking this would give him special goat powers, but it didn't. It only got him in trouble with the Farm Fairy.
He ate the secret sand that he believed gave him super leaping abilities. The other goats told him they were just minerals but he knew better.

He ate them and he felt like he could fly!

But then one day as he was wandering around his wonderful Farm he encountered a strange and unusual creature. He wondered what it was. It had no horns. It had no hooves.

It didn't smell right. In fact, the first time he gave it a good sniff IT RAN AWAY.
But that did not stop our intrepid goat, oh no! He had eaten the magic sand remember and he had super powers so he searched out the strange creature again.
The publicist is not feeling well so she asked me to pick an old post to share with you today. I picked one of my favorites. It features one of our favorite kids, the very first cowgoat on the Farm - Harry the cowgoat! He is one of MY kids so of course he is a great kid. He is still living happily on his farm. I hope you like revisiting this story.
Once upon a time on a Farm in a mystical land there was born a small little goat. And he was given the name of Harry. While no one was looking he climbed the mountain of Heavenly Hay thinking this would give him special goat powers, but it didn't. It only got him in trouble with the Farm Fairy.
It ran away at first but Harry followed it into the high grass.
It seemed friendly. This time they gave each other some good sniffs.
Harry decided that this furry animal was no threat to him. His nanny AbbyGoat told him it was called a cat and that he should butt it. Harry did not think this was nice. He didn't think he should butt it just because it was different. He was going to try and make friends with the cat the next time he saw it. He hoped that day would come soon.
I hope you liked this story. Harry is a good little kid and he does leave the Farm cats alone unlike some of us who shall remain nameless.
