AbbyDay - Dreaming of Kids

It's AbbyDay the best day of the week. Since it's AbbyDay you should do nothing but think of Abby all day!

Yes, it snowed again.

I have been thinking.
Thinking of all of my kids.
I suppose this is to be expected since I am expecting.

I remembered all of my little ones from Nora

Nora
to Harry - the first cowgoat

Harry

to Timmy and Lew

Timmy and Lew

and finally to Thelma and Louise.

Me and Thelma and Louise

Boy I do have a lot of cowgoats, don't I?
They are ALL perfectly adorable though, just like ME!

I hope you enjoyed reminiscing with me. Do you think I will have cowgoats again?

A Question Answered

As I am sure you are aware the Farm cats live a rough life around these parts.
I was asked how they sleep.
If they manage to find somewhere safe to bed down at night.

I will be honest...
They do not have a warm barn to go into every night like we goats do.
They do not have nice hay to rest on.

They are forced to sleep in horrible conditions!
It is deplorable.
Just look for yourself.

Poor Sherpa...

Look how uncomfortable Stinky is...

And Harry?

Harry has to sleep in the publicist's sweater drawer.

IN HER SWEATER DRAWER!
Can you imagine such a thing?
The horror.

Poor Pumpkin could not even be found. I think he was too depressed in his sleeping place.
The publicist mentioned something about the box with the sleeping bags.

Those poor, poor Farm cats.

The Return of AbbyDay! - My Life as a Nanny

Yes, Pricilla has decided to give me my day on the blog again. Truth be told I really think it was the publicist but I will let Pricilla sound like a nice goat; at least for this one day. Before I get to my wonderful tale of being Harry's nanny I want to ask you all a favor. The wonderful blog Secondary Roads is having a Blogosphere's Got Talent Contest and my little Harry is entered. That's right MY LITTLE HARRY. I am sooooo proud. He is entered for his talent of leaping from hay bale to hay bale. So, if you wouldn't mind checking out the contest and voting - of course you don't HAVE to vote for Harry.....I promise not to butt you if you don't.(The publicist made me write that.)

Now on to my tale. Harry is, of course, the cutest kid in the world. That is because he is my kid. I would only produce cute kids. He is getting very active and sometimes he can be a little pesky. But I am a good mom and I put up with his climbing

And his standing on me.

Now I do have to draw SOME lines with the little devil, even if he is cute. Chewing on my horn is a bit much! I am not a goat snack!

I had finally had enough of all this wrestling about so I told Harry to go lie down by the goat house. At last, peace.

But he does look a bit forlorn, doesn't he?

I am glad to be back and you can look for regular AbbyDay posts on Fridays from now on. Hooray!

Harry and the Hay Pile

Oooh, the hay pile is sure seeing its fair share of attention these days. As you know by now the male person brought home our hay for the winter. We thank him for doing all of that heavy work for us. We know we will eat well when the green grass and tasty weeds stop growing. You saw yesterday how we were erm, not so good goats when we were climbing all over the hay pile. Even little Harry got in on the hay pile action! You read that correctly. Little baby Harry was a baaaaad goat. But you have to admit even when he is being a bad goat, he is a cute goat!

Abby led Harry to the hay pile and when she jumped up and started munching away Harry figured out that this might be a tasty place to hop.

He tried to jump up but his first try wasn't quite successful. He IS a tiny goatling yet.

Finally! Harry makes the jump up to the hay pile! It seems to give him confidence because from here on out he was just jumping and flying all over the hay!

He leapt from bale to bale.

He leapt from bale to ground.

He leapt, he leapt all around! Well, Kevin got a poem....

He stopped to sniff the rake handle and decided it wasn't something he wanted to munch.

He did eventually stop all that running and leaping to actually EAT some hay. Nom, nom, nom as Daisy the Curly Cat would say.

I am not sure we older goats should be teaching these bad things to our little goats but that new hay just tastes sooooooo good. I've said it before, we goats are very food oriented. Which is a nice lead in to Monday's Goatucation post - heh heh. You would think I planned that wouldn't you. Be sure to check back when I answer the question "What do you goats eat on the Happy Goats Farm."

Burp.
