Marion the Goat Debuts as a Movie Star
It had to to happen.
After all, we haven't had a Movie Day around here in a while.
Mallory had little Marion out for a bit and the publicist was taking some video. You can see how protective a nanny Mallory is - she is even a bit of a stage nanny!
I am sure that Marion is destined to be a star!
She is a natural on camera.
Mallory just wanted to eat the camera.....

I am a Bit Embarrassed
I hate to admit this, but I must.
I really wanted to steal Mallory's new kid when the publicist brought it down to the pen today.
I am ashamed.
But I would make such a good nanny. And it is just not fair that I lost my kid.
So when little Marion came down I just had to try and lick her.
Mallory was not happy. She did not want to share.
I wasn't REALLY going to steal the baby. Much.
I just wanted to remember what it was like to have a kid near me.
But little Marion was right. She stayed by her nanny while Mallory and I had an, erm discussion.
I made my point
and Mallory made hers.
But we made up by the end of the day and everything was friendly.
Mallory knows I love her kid like it was mine.
erm.
Marion did get to enjoy wandering around and exploring the Farm a bit.
Which is a good thing for a kid.

Marion the Goat Sees the Sun
The publicist let Mallory and little Marion rest in the barn today.
Mallory was tired and was nervous with a brand new kid.
Little Marion wanted to just eat and sleep.
But the publicist wanted to get some better pictures of Marion so she brought her out in the sun for a little bit. She didn't bring her down to introduce her to us big goats yet. She knows how we are and little Marion is not ready to meet us yet. She is also small enough to be carried away by a bald eagle and we wouldn't want that to happen!
Marion was happy to be out in the sun but Mallory was a bit nervous.
Especially when they heard a noise!
But it was only a chicken in the grass; nothing to worry about.
Mallory really loves her new kid. She licks and licks her.
Marion wanted to explore a bit, though - you know what kids are like!
She especially wanted to explore the publicist's camera.
That or she is ready for her close up!
There will be lots more photos of Marion the goat in the days to come. I think it will be very interesting when she meets her half-brothers Lew and Timmy. I hope you enjoyed seeing more of Marion the goat.

Please Welcome Marion the Goat
We had exciting times in the barn last night!
Mallory the goat had her kid!
And we were all in the barn to experience it.
Boy can that Mallory Maaaaaa!
But that is neither here nor there.
I would like you to meet the new kid on the Farm -
Marion the Goat!
That's right we have a new doe.
She is a big girl too!
She is all black but the publicist thinks some brown might come in around her eyes and face.
We are all very happy to have her here and we congratulate Mallory the goat and Luke the goat!

AbbyDay - I'm Back and It's All About ME
I know I was back last week but I had to introduce the new Farm kitten.
This week it is all about ME.
Me, glorious me!
That seems to be a topic that has been missing from the blog lately.
I mean, WHAT could be more interesting than ME?
And more beautiful for that matter. I mean, just look at me!
I am the picture of goat perfection.
There is no other goat on this Farm that looks as good.
Even when I am munching away I am something to see.
I also want it known that I have lost all of my kid fat and I am back to my gorgeous, svelte self. It did not take me long either.
B.E.A,U.T.I.F.U.L.!
I am very glad to be back on the blog. I enjoyed my time off but a doe has to earn her keep. I was a touch upset when the publicist wouldn't let me blog about me last week. But I am not going to stay mad at her.
Well, not for too long anyway.
I even went into Pricilla's secret munching place - Pssst, don't tell Pricilla!
There is some mighty tasty eating in there.
So now you have seen all of my sides but my best side. Not that all of my sides aren't my best side....so I will leave you with a perfect photo of perfect me.
I hope you enjoyed this REAL AbbyDay!

Is Someone Watching Over Me?
I was out for my graze and as I was enjoying the grass I felt like I was being watched.
It was a very odd feeling.
I thought I would try and see if anyone was spying on me. I tried to look nonchalant - I pretended I was scratching an itch - aren't I a smart doe?
but I didn't see anything.
I went back to my grazing but still felt like I was being watched. Then I thought to look up and what did I see?
Sherpa the Farm Cat and Harry the Farm Kitten sitting in the window!
Spying on me!
Silly kitties!
I think they liked it up there because they stayed in the window for quite some time.
I decided I would sit down and rest and ruminate on this cat spying.
I am not sure this is a good thing.
How would you feel if you were being spied on by these two?
Scary, huh?
Tomorrow: It's AbbyDay!

Wordless Wednesday - Almost
Nora the goat is quiet and you don't see her much.
But she wanted to make sure she made an appearance today.
To say, "Happy Birthday, Aunt Nora!"
I wish you were here so I could give you a goat hug.

Chicken Tales
I am sure you are all wondering about the chicks.
I told you about them a while ago but I have not given you an update in a while.
I have exciting news!
The chicks have gotten big enough to be moved outside to the chicken tractor!
The male person has moved the chicken tractor out of my goat pen.
This makes me very happy.
I think the chicks are very happy too!
Not all of them have figured out how to come out of the little house to the outside world.
But those that do seem to like it outside.
The exotic chick is really showing his colors. The male person and publicist still think he is a dark Brahma.
Aren't the feathers on his feet funny?
Maybe these chicks will be lucky and they will win one of FarmMan's HenPals Nest Boxes from Life on a Southern Farm. You can try and win one too by clicking the link off to the right. Your chickens will live in style! Well, your hens will anyway. I don't think your roosters will care.
I hope you liked this update on the chicks.
I am just glad they are not in my goat pen.
For that I am doing the goat dance of joy!

I Have an Announcement!
The publicist has told me that I have to do some work.
She thinks that I should not be fully retired yet.
Harumph!
She seems to think that since I am not being milked I should do something more around this Farm.
I don't get it. I am a SpokesGoat.
I eat hay.
I keep the twins in line. Isn't that enough?
Apparently not for her. She seems to think I should now be a product reviewer. So she has signed me up to review something from CSNStores.com.
I doubt they will send me apples.
I could do an excellent review of apples.
They will probably want me to look at a bathroom vanity or something.
Now the publicist has a very pretty vanity in her bathroom but I AM A GOAT FOR HEAVEN'S SAKE! The publicist likes this one...
It does look good enough to munch.
I guess I am now going to be a ReviewGoat.

Wood You Like to Play?
The male person is a very busy man.He has his job as fire chief.
He is building the yurt for the publicist.
He is growing the garden so we goats can eat all of the yummy leaves.
He does not have a lot of spare time right now and won't until he gets the yurt finished so he decided that instead of going into the tasty woods this year and cutting his own firewood he would buy some. The man with the wood came yesterday with the first cord.
Mmmm, wood.
You know we goats love a good munch of wood.
Fiber, you know.
And we like to climb.
But first we nibble.
Mmmm, larch!
Matthew liked it too.
Then the twins discovered the new pile of wood!
They were all over it!
Timmy seems to be saying, "over here Timmy! I see a good piece to taste."
After a while I got bored with the wood and snuck off to eat erm, elsewhere.
I know you can't see me in my secret munching place!
Abby was more interested in eating grass.
Sarah thought she could help the male person stack the wood.
Matthew gave the "goat stare of death" to everyone and was king of the wood pile.
For a while.....
It was a very fun way to spend an afternoon. The twins even took a spin on the OLD wood pile!
I hope you all enjoyed this as much as we did.
Remember to eat your fiber! It is good for your stomachs.
