AbbyDay - I Review the Standlee Hay

I was given this free Standlee Hay to give you my honest opinion! Me! AbbyGoat! Well, the other goats got to eat some too - but I'm the best at maaaing the results!

The publicist and the male person came home and the back of the trailer was filled with the most amazing thing for a goat -

HAY!
We love hay!
Especially rich alfalfa grass.
Mmmmmm, hay.
But these look different than our normal hay.
These are super compact bales! They are put in a special machine that squished them really, really hard and compressed them. Each one weighs 50 pounds!

That is a lot of hay for ME!

The male person offered up a taste of this yummy hay when we were heading up to the barn.
Since I am not afraid of him, me and my kids were able to taste the delicious hay.
I did not want to stop eating it!
I am ashamed to admit I did not want to share - wait a minute! I am AbbyGoat - why should I share?

Yes I eat out of an old laundry basket. Do you have a problem with that?
When I went out to my pen the next morning, guess what I saw in the feeder?
YOU ARE RIGHT!
Delicious afalfa hay and timothy hay  from Standlee Hay Company waiting for me!

I was one excited goat.
Too excited the publicist said.
She said this is very rich hay and I cannot eat too much of it at once since it is a change in my diet.
WHAT?!
But it is so delicious.

I can hardly keep my head out of my feeder!
(Can I get addicted to hay?)

There is this awful rumor going around that she had to DRAG ME from the hay pile as I was gobbling up the tasty hay. Do not believe it!
BUUUUUUURRRRRRP!

If you cannot see the movie you can watch it on YouTube HERE

Despite what is mentioned in that movie I DO NOT GRUNT LIKE A PIG!
I am a ladylike goat.

Now I am sure that all of you goats out there - and my horse, sheep and llama friends too - would like to know how you can find this yummalicious hay and alfalfa pellets! Well, I will maaaaa you. 'Cause I am a nice goat.  You can go to Standlee Hay Company and there is a "find a retailer." That is how the publicist found it for me. She just put in our zip code and it provided several near us.

You can also find Standlee Hay Company on Facebook and on Twitter

OK! The publicist will be telling you more about the yummy hay tomorrow on her blog when the other goats on the Farm give their totally unimportant opinions. Since I love the hay that is really all that matters, right?

Disclosure:  The publicist received a gift card from Standlee Hay with which to buy me the delicious hay. I grunted maaaaed my approval of the hay and she typed up her interpretations of my grunts maaas. Neither one of us received any other compensation for this post. I did butt the publicist for saying I grunted like a pig. She deserved it.

AbbyDay - I Am a ReviewGoat and I am BETTER than Pricilla EVER Was Dammit

It's AbbyDay, the best day of the week. You had better adhere to that kind of thinking or by golly I will hit you with my new doll.

I am a ReviewGoat today and I am going to tell you about the Dammit Doll. I know this is a family blog but I think I can maaaaaaa Dammit!
Heaven knows I feel that way a lot with the crazy goats I have to live with.

Since I am better at EVERYTHING than Pricilla I gave the doll a VERY thorough sniffity sniff sniff.

I was especially fond of its red hair.

Oooooh yeah baby.

Loves me that yarn hair.

More please!

Mmmmm, mmmmm, MMMMMMMMM!

ABBY! - YOU HAVE WORK TO DO!
GET ON WITH IT!

Boy that publicist can be a pain in the tail. Maybe I should hit her with my Dammit Doll!
THERE'S an idea!

Here I come publicist - you had better run while you can!

What do you mean I will get no grain if I don't behave!
That must be against goat labor laws!
PFFFFFFT!

OK! OK!
I'm working, I'm working.

I think this doll is very useful for expressing my erm goat aggression when I don't want to use my horns. Although my horns definitely make a statement....

The Dammit Doll is very well made. I even stomped on it a couple of times while I was running away in fear of something new and different in the goat pen testing it out and it suffered no damage at all from my deadly hooves.

But the Dammit Doll is cute.
But I think I look like a goat fool.
Do you agree?

DO YOU?
I thought not.

The publicist is having a Dammit Doll giveaway on her blog so why don't you all go over there and enter. There are rumors of extra grain for me if you do.

I LIKE GRAIN.
I WANT GRAIN.
YOU HAD BETTER ENTER SO I CAN HAVE GRAIN.

GOT IT?
GOOD!

I knew I could count on all of you. I am after all the best goat around these parts so there is no reason for you to NOT listen to what I maaaaaa.

Now, back to that luscious red hair.
I REALLY like that red yarn hair.
I could sniff that red yarn hair ALL DAY LONG!

Mmmmm, mmmmm, mmmmmm!

Disclosure:  The stupid publicist made me do this. I got some grain. It was good grain. Anything I maaaaaed was the truth because I am AbbyGoat and I do not lie. Ever! The publicist got her doll for free and get this - she wouldn't even let me keep it! She took it away! She said I would ruin it! Something about chicken poop in the goat pen. Is this MY fault? Can you believe this poor excuse for not letting me keep the luscious red yarn hair, erm the Dammit Doll? Pffffffft! I told you she was stupid.

Today I am a ReviewGoat AND a #Giveaway Goat: NOVICA Review and $75 GC Giveaway

The publicist says I have been lazy all winter.
She says it's about time I did some work around the Farm.
Harumph!
So Wordless Wednesday is being postponed this week so I can work.
The things a Famous SpokesGoat has to do.....

...hey, this might not be so bad after all!
Is that APPLES?!
OK! This goat is ready to review!

But first I want to tell you all about the wonderful company, NOVICA.
NOVICA works with National Geographic - a very tasty magazine if I do maaa so maaaself - to bring you lots really great things to buy! They find artisans all around the world and they put all of the great and unique gifts on ONE WEBSITE to make it easy for you to shop. You can find everything you might want from sterling silver jewelry to home decor and clothing. I did not find grain and apples but I did find a few sections that I found maaaavelous -  like earrings and necklaces. I look good in pearls if you will recall. I think I would look really great in this necklace. It is made by an artisan in Thailand.

Do you think Luke the goat would want to dance the rhumba if he saw me wearing it?
Ah-hem.
The publicist says I need to stay on topic.

Of course the publicist got to spend MY gift card and she did not get me any pearls. Stupid publicist! But she did get a delicious gorgeous hand woven rush basket from Peru. It's called "Nature's Colors." I have never been to Peru but I have heard there are lots of mountains there. Goats like mountains!

The publicist LOVES her basket. When it arrived it was wrapped up just like a present! With a bow and a tiny little doll on the bow as a decoration. She is going to make a Christmas ornament out of the doll. She felt very special opening her basket - she told me so. Now me, I would have eaten the bow 'cause it looked so tasty. This is why the publicist does not let me near the mail.

She brought it out for me to review along with her other choice, ceramic condiment bowls from Bali. These are called "Lithe Gecko." Now we are maaaaing!
THIS is how a Famous SpokesGoat should get her apples served to her.

The condiment bowls held grain and minerals for dipping!

Nom, nom, nom!

I will tell you that I am all in favor of this basket and these bowls as long as they are used for feeding me.

I loves me some apples dipped in minerals.

The publicist said not to get used to it.
Harumph!
She said that she loves her basket. She said it's very well made and she will use it in HER kitchen. She said the condiment bowls are to hold her two different kinds of salt. She said that I was only going to get this kind of treatment today.

WHAT THE HAY?!

Well! At least I get to make one of my readers very happy!
It's true!
One of you will get to win a $75.00 gift card to NOVICA so you can go shopping for whatever you like.

The publicist is very happy with her product for her work.

I Get to Review a PLANE!!!!

I haven't been a ReviewGoat in a while so when the publicist told me I had to go to work again I gave her a face.

But then she told me I was going to review a PLANE!
A plane!
You know I am really ready to pack my bags and blow this pop stand so what better way than with a review of a PLANE?

I was so excited.
Would it be a 747?
Or, since I AM a Famous SpokesGoat maybe, just maybe it would be a PRIVATE PLANE!
A little Lear Jet.
Oh, I couldn't wait!
A PLANE!

Where would I go on my review?
I had so many kind invitations; California, South Carolina, Florida.
Oh, it was going to be hard to pick.

So the publicist asked me if I was ready and I maaaaed, "YES!!!!"
She said good, here you go...

Whaaaa?
What in the goat barn is that!?

"It's a plane" she said. The male person uses it around the yurt. For trim and stuff.
I could not believe my goat eyes!
Where was my 747?
Where was my little Lear Jet?

I tried tasting it to see if it tasted like grain.

BLECH! It does NOT taste like grain!

Abby thought it was pretty lame too.

The publicist said to get a grip.
Did I really think she could buy a Lear Jet on CSN.com?
They sell lots and lots of great things but Lear Jets - not so much.

I let the publicist know just how disappointed I was...

She did give me some extra grain.
I guess it was worth it.
She did say that the male person is very happy with his Stanley Block Plane. She is also happy because it means that someday the yurt might actually be finished. With trim and all.

I might just come in there and butt that trim to express my, erm frustration.

Disclosure:  The MALE PERSON received this plane from CSN.com with a gift certificate for my hard work doing a review. I got bupkis. Well, maybe some grain. The opinions of the male person are his opinions and he can keep them were not impacted by his receiving the free plane from my hard work. I still think CSN should carry grain and apples and that is MY opinion.

I'm Shaking Off Winter To Think About Spring

It's true!
Would you like to know why?
Because the publicist has told me I am going to work as a ReviewGoat again.
While I am feeling lazy these days and don't really want to work I suppose if I get some extra treats it will be worth it.  She just better get something for ME this time or Abby can take over this gig.
Harumph!

But back to Spring.
It's coming you know. At least that's the rumor.
I wouldn't know it from the weather we have been having.
It was 0* degrees this morning.
THAT is chilly.

So I think myself warm by thinking of Spring.
The kids will be here and it will be fun around this Farm again.
I told the publicist that the kids need something to play on.
Something other than us nannies.

We are tired of being jumped on all the time.
I told her we needed swing sets for kids!
Can you imagine how much fun they would have on one of these?

I can see the little goatlings running all over and just having the best time!
I have also seen several videos with kids and big goats having fun on...

Yes, trampolines!
I, of course would never do such a thing.
I have my dignity.
But Abby and the kids would have a blast.

Heh, Abby......

I would like to say Happy Birthday to the publicist's brother Kevin. I hope he has a wonderful day today.

Disclosure:  The publicist will be receiving a gift code to CSNStores.com. She will hopefully get me something I like to review. She will probably get herself something and make me review it anyway. Harumph!

Kringle is a ReviewGoat! He Reviews His GoatCoats

Little Kringle is being put to work.
I know!
At his young age.
The publicist is a tough one...but I think he will survive.
He got his first taste of grain yesterday.
So without further ado, I turn the blog over to Kringle the goat....

Hi everyone!
Kringle here. I wanted to tell you how much I like my goatcoats.
I am very thankful that the publicist had them made for me.
It's been very cold since I have been born and I think I would have frozen my little tail off if it hadn't of been for my soft goatcoats.

They were made by Texan and they are made of something called fleece.
I tried to eat them but they don't taste good.
Grain is good though.
Mmmm, I had my first taste yesterday and can't wait to have more.
The publicist said if I did a good job today I could have more.
Be sure to tell her I did a good job, OK?

I have worn all four of the goatcoats that Texan sent:
Blue

Red

Green

and even Pink

Just because I am a boy goat doesn't mean I can't wear pink.
I look quite cute in pink if I do maaaa so myself.
I like that they say Happy Goat Farm on them so I know where I live.
It's hard when you are little to remember all the stuff you are taught.

Texan sewed them really well. I can run and hop and play and they stay together. The publicist has washed them all and they don't shrink at all. They still look brand new.

I am very, very happy with them. I like them all but the red is my favorite.

I am very excited to tell you that if you go to Texan's blog you can WIN A GOATCOAT!
Really!
She will even embroider your Farm name or pet name on it.
These coats will also fit a small dog. Just don't let the dog near me.
Texan sells these nice coats too. She will take orders and put your Farm or pet name on them.

So go on over and check out the giveaway.
I think all little kids should have a goatcoat!
Bye everyone! Thanks for reading my review. Be sure to tell the publicist I did a good job so I can have more grain!

Disclosure:  Kringle received a little taste of grain for maaaing this review. No one else received any other type of payment writing this post.

Today I am a ReviewGoat: Waechsterbach Dinnerware from CSNStores.com

The publicist told me she had a surprise for me today.
She told me I was going to work but that I was not going to find it too much of a strain.

She was right!
I am a ReviewGoat today and I get to tell you all about Waechsterbach Dinnerware that she got from CSNStores.com.
(If you ask me that name sounds like when Abby has something caught in her throat.)

These plates reminded me of when I was a young doe.
When I still caught the eyes of the bucks.
When they took me out to fancy dinners.
Especially the last time I went to the Goat Ritz.

Aaaaah THOSE were the days.....

But I digress.
The publicist brought me over and I saw this!

I was amazed. I immediately apologized to the publicist for being erm, a bit difficult about working today.

What a meal, just like my memories. Oh how I wish....
Nevermind.

I dug right into those apples and carrots.

Boy did they taste good.
And they looked so pretty on that beautiful Kiwi salad plate.

Next I tried the grain.

Mmmmm, grain

It would not be a gourmet goat meal without grain now, would it?
The Orange Peel cereal bowl showed off the grain to perfection.
(burp)

The final course - Frasier fir!

I am a fir connoisseur.

Now THAT was a treat. I haven't had some good tree in a long, long time.

It just tastes so good and leaves me with piney fresh breath.
The Cherry dinner plate made those branches look soooooo appetizing.

Yum, yum!

I can tell you I was one Happy (and full) Goat.

I will also tell you that the publicist brought apples to all of the other goats on the Farm so we ALL got a nice treat today. I was the only one who got to eat on the very nice dinnerware though; the publicist doesn't really trust that the other goats wouldn't erm, stampede on her new dishes.

I can tell you that it was very nice. I really liked the colors. They were very rich and shiny. There is also a Lemon Peel mug in the set but since I drink from a bucket I didn't get to try that.

You can see how the publicist used the dishes to set her table HERE.

The publicist told me that these new dishes came from CSNStores.com
(They still do not carry grain. They need to work on this. I WANT GRAIN. I WANT GRAIN)  She said that they arrived very quickly and were very well packed. I am glad for her. She also tells me I will never see them again. So there go all my dreams of living like I am at the Goat Ritz. I will never be romanced again....so is the life of an old goat.

At least I got apples this time.

Disclosure:  The publicist received a gift card to buy HERSELF something from CSNStores.com. She then makes me work. Harumph! I like being a ReviewGoat because I get treats but I think she should buy something for ME. Any opinions you see are her interpretations of my maaaaas. She knows me well enough by now to know what I am maaaing about.
