Catastic Event, Day 8: Cattino Review and Rattino Giveaway

Product provided.

Earlier in the Catastic Event we showed you how to put a Cattino together but we left you hanging as to whether we LIKED this cat scratcher with a modern design and two hammocks for resting.  Let me put your curiosity to rest - well, for the most part. You see, ever since it came in the door of the yurt it has been SHERPA'S Cattino. The rest of us have not been allowed near it!

Well except me for a bit for what the publicist call a "photo op." She plopped me on top and started taking pictures. I can assure you - Sherpa was NOT happy about this. So from this point on I am going to turn the review over to Sherpa as he is the one using the Cattino the most. If any of us try to use it while he is near it well....

It's not pretty. I was thwacked on the head just for testing out the very cool scratching section. So I now turn it over to Sherpa.

Hi everyone. I must meow that I L.O.V.E. my new Cattino. It's like it was created JUST for me. See how cool I look sitting in the bottom? Now I know that it wasn't made for me, it was made for a lovely kitty named Miss Trudy but that doesn't mean that it isn't purrfect for me too! It is made in the USA and is finished with beautiful Baltic birch. It is just short of 2 ft x 2 ft in size. It comes with washable hammocks but what is really cool is the availability of additional fabrics. I am going to meow to the publicist to get me a really cool extra one in leopard for when she is washing my red ones. I wouldn't want to miss any lounging time now, would I? You can also get additional scratchers for when your cats mighty claws rip them to shreds.

The Cattino is a combination cat scratcher and lounger so it is ideal for cats like me. Cats with things to do. Cats with CLAWS. I have been using the scratcher quite a bit but I am a sneaky boy. Any time the publicist would whip out her camera to take video I would stop scratching and hide.

If you cannot see the movie you can watch it on YouTube HERE

Bwahahahaha. Did I scare you?
I am one sneaky cat aren't I?
But no matter how hard she tried I did not let her get me on film either scratching or playing with the catnip mustache. I am clever like that. I hear the trill of the camera and I stop what I am doing.

I love that I can sit inside the Cattino or on top of it. Don't listen to that publicist when she makes remarks that there is a little too much me for the top. I fit just fine. My motto is, "If I am comfortable, that is all that counts!" And no matter where I go on the Cattino I am one happy cat. It is mine, mine, ALL MINE!

Therefore if you want one of your own you can shop at Cattino and please follow them on Facebook and Twitter. We do!

The publicist is so happy with the Cattino that she is going to send one lucky US reader a Rattino for their kitty. I think I see something I need to take care of so I will let her tell you about the giveaway. I know my Cattino will be waiting for me when I get back. No cat would DARE get on it while I'm gone. They all know here that it is MINE.

Uh-oh. Trouble's a brewing in the yurt!

The Catastic Event, Day 5 - Harry the Farm Cat Shows You How a Farm Cat Lounges on a Peach Industries Cat Lounger

I am sure you know by now that I am one cool Farm cat.
Since I am the BEST mousie hunter on the Farm - not to mention gopher hunter - the publicist makes sure that I am TAKEN CARE OF.

As you all know I was the very lucky cat who won the superb Peach Industries cat lounger when Waffles and Katie had a giveaway a while ago. The publicist thought we would share it - and I will admit that I do sometimes let Sherpa lounge - it is MY lounger. I took possession the minute it arrived and it has been mine ever since.

The very nice people at Peach Industries sent me a spiffy new hammock for my lounger so I now have two - that means that when one is in the wash I don't lose any important lounging time! In the past when I was a poor cat with only one hammock I had to wait endlessly for it to be washed and then dried. There was NO LOUNGING during that eternity. The horror!

My new hammock is a stunning deep amethyst color that complements my furs. The weather has been so lovely lately that I ordered requested my slave the publicist to take it outside so that I could enjoy the warm sun. (Do I have the life or WHAT?)

What is so wonderful about this lounger is that if you want to get out of the sun you can simply lie underneath for a bit. There is plenty of room.

The Peach Industries cat loungers are also VERY well constructed. It holds me quite comfortably, it holds Sherpa who is heavier. It holds the BOTH OF US and I'd be willing to bet it would hold a doggie! It was so easy to put together the publicist did it. ALL BY HERSELF. And trust me, she is hopeless when it comes to putting things together. Sometimes she can't even fold a box!

If you go and visit the Peach Industries Website you will find regular cat loungers like mine and the new and exciting mini cat loungers. I keep meowing to the publicist that we need to get another one but she looks at me and says - where in the devil would be put it Harry? There is no floor space. You can share.

Do you believe this? Share? I can't believe she expects me to.....is that a mousie? Gotta run, when I see a mousie I am ON THE JOB!

If you want to lounge in the most comfortable way I suggest you get yourself a Peach Industries cat lounger. You can also find ParkIt Mats for the doggies in your life. Although my friend Waffles has one and he takes it on picnics in the park!

You can shop at Peach Industries and please follow them on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest.
We do!

Be sure to head over to the publicist's blog to read a fun Guest Post from Isabella and Angel from Beaded Tail.

AbbyDay - I Review the Standlee Hay

I was given this free Standlee Hay to give you my honest opinion! Me! AbbyGoat! Well, the other goats got to eat some too - but I'm the best at maaaing the results!

The publicist and the male person came home and the back of the trailer was filled with the most amazing thing for a goat -

HAY!
We love hay!
Especially rich alfalfa grass.
Mmmmmm, hay.
But these look different than our normal hay.
These are super compact bales! They are put in a special machine that squished them really, really hard and compressed them. Each one weighs 50 pounds!

That is a lot of hay for ME!

The male person offered up a taste of this yummy hay when we were heading up to the barn.
Since I am not afraid of him, me and my kids were able to taste the delicious hay.
I did not want to stop eating it!
I am ashamed to admit I did not want to share - wait a minute! I am AbbyGoat - why should I share?

Yes I eat out of an old laundry basket. Do you have a problem with that?
When I went out to my pen the next morning, guess what I saw in the feeder?
YOU ARE RIGHT!
Delicious afalfa hay and timothy hay  from Standlee Hay Company waiting for me!

I was one excited goat.
Too excited the publicist said.
She said this is very rich hay and I cannot eat too much of it at once since it is a change in my diet.
WHAT?!
But it is so delicious.

I can hardly keep my head out of my feeder!
(Can I get addicted to hay?)

There is this awful rumor going around that she had to DRAG ME from the hay pile as I was gobbling up the tasty hay. Do not believe it!
BUUUUUUURRRRRRP!

If you cannot see the movie you can watch it on YouTube HERE

Despite what is mentioned in that movie I DO NOT GRUNT LIKE A PIG!
I am a ladylike goat.

Now I am sure that all of you goats out there - and my horse, sheep and llama friends too - would like to know how you can find this yummalicious hay and alfalfa pellets! Well, I will maaaaa you. 'Cause I am a nice goat.  You can go to Standlee Hay Company and there is a "find a retailer." That is how the publicist found it for me. She just put in our zip code and it provided several near us.

You can also find Standlee Hay Company on Facebook and on Twitter

OK! The publicist will be telling you more about the yummy hay tomorrow on her blog when the other goats on the Farm give their totally unimportant opinions. Since I love the hay that is really all that matters, right?

Disclosure:  The publicist received a gift card from Standlee Hay with which to buy me the delicious hay. I grunted maaaaed my approval of the hay and she typed up her interpretations of my grunts maaas. Neither one of us received any other compensation for this post. I did butt the publicist for saying I grunted like a pig. She deserved it.

Catstacular Event - Review: Scratchkabin by katcabin

Boy are we lucky Farm cats or what?
We have gotten to try lots of great things during the Catstacular Event.
We've gotten to meet other cats through their guest posts.
(All those pretty girlcats!!!!)

Today we have a review for you. Harry, Pumpkin and I worked very hard on this. Stinky shied away - the publicist thinks it's because she is an old cat. I don't care it meant more fun time for me. Me-OW!

The publicist even took some video of us but the camera ate it. I am very disappointed I wanted to be a movie star! The publicist said some things that I cannot post on this blog.
It's a family blog....

Anyway a great big box came to the yurt. We cats love big boxes.
But what was in this big box was even better than the box!
I know!
It was something the publicist called a Skratchkabin

but I called it F.U.N.
I especially liked the little mousie.
I play with the mousie every night. EVERY night.
The publicist and the male person yell at me EVERY NIGHT
because i am making so much noise with the little mousie.
Sometimes I leave it in a special place for the publicist to find.

She is not always amused by this.
I don't know why.

I love to sit inside the Skratchkabin and hide from the other cats.
It's peaceful and dark in there and the cushion is nice and soft.

I also like to scratch on it which the publicist like very much.
Pumpkin scratches on it a lot too which is good because Pumpkin was scratching on the new furniture and this made the humans VERY mad.

More words I can't repeat on the blog....

Pumpkin hides inside too.

This sometimes leads to erm, discussions between us.
I won't tell you who wins....

Here mousie, mousie

Harry and I like to sit on top of the Scratchkabin and cuddle together.

Harry is my little pet.
Can cats have cats as pets?
I think so!

I will tell you that all three of us give the Skratchkabin 4 paws up! It is great to scratch and great to sit on. Plus the mousie is a fantastic toy.

The material on the kabin is fun for our claws to pull. The more will pull the more it pills and the more it pills the more we pull. This is good for the publicist's furniture. Pumpkin hasn't scratched at it since the Scratchkabin came into the yurt.

That makes the male person VERY happy.

The publicist again apologizes for the lack of video. She is now saying more bad words and threatening to throw her video camera into the river. I will see if I can stop her.

If you go over to her blog one of you can win your very own Skratchkabin! She is giving one away thanks to the very nice humans from the company. So go and check it out!

I hope you all enjoyed the Catstacular Event. I had fun being your Maitre de Chat. You will still see me and the other Farm cats on the blog now and then. Maybe Pricilla WILL let us have our own day....

Disclosure:  We cats were sent this Scratchkabin for free. We told the truth about how we feel about it. We didn't even get treats for playing with it! That is how much fun it is.

Catstacular Event - Review of Mink Catnip Body Pillow from Kitty of Mine

Today we Farm Cats are going to show you the fun of a Mink Catnip Body Pillow from the great etsy shop Kitty of Mine. The very nice human who runs the shop takes old fur coats and turns them into cats toys. They are very soft and I like to take it and hide it around the yurt.
In fact every morning when the publicist wakes up she finds this toy in a new place. Sometimes she can't find it because I have hidden it from her.

When it first came in Harry was very, very afraid of it. It was quite funny. He would run away any time the publicist gave it to him to play with.

He would stay far, far away.
But now he loves the toy as much as I do. He doesn't always share.

He sometimes uses it as a pillow.

I don't blame him! It's very soft.
Pumpkin likes it too. If Pumpkin is guarding the toy i can't get near it.

Pumpkin is a growly kind of cat when it comes to toys.
The toy almost disappears into his furs.

Yes, Pumpkin is a boy Tortie!

We all enjoy playing with this great toy. The secret is the special opening. It has hook and loop so the publicist can open it and put in the 'nip that came with the toy. Then she closes it up and ooooooh, does it smell good. She can then nip it up some more when needed.

I think the publicist should get more so we each have our very own!
She says I need to learn to share.
Me-OW!

I want to thank Kitty of Mine for sending us this very nice toy.
Guess what?
If you go over to the publicist's blog you can WIN one of these toys for your kitty!

Disclosure:  All of us cats received this great toy to play with. We didn't have to pay any monies for it and we thank Kitty of Mine for that. We gave our honest opinions about the toy
