I Have an Announcement

No, Abby has not had her kid(s) yet.

You will remember that I told you about the new 6oz bar. Well, it is finally in my shop!
It is called A Goatload of Soap!

So far the publicist has put the  Monkey Farts, Lemon and Tangerine Dream but there will be more to come very soon.  You can also buy three of them at a discount. This is called the Super Goatload of Soap and I picked a photo of fat pregnant Abby to advertise it.

There is also a very pretty new shape called A Snack for the Goats.

The publicist has just started making these and she can only make them one at a time. So far you can find Spicy Lemon Rose and Wisteria.


Wisteria is my new Limited Edition scent for summer. When it runs out, it runs out!


I also have new Exfoliating Soaps! They have apricot seeds in them to help scrub your skin smooth. 

These will be in limited scents and so far only Lavender is available but more will be in the shop soon.

I Have an Announcement!

The publicist has told me that I have to do some work.
She thinks that I should not be fully retired yet.
Harumph!
She seems to think that since I am not being milked I should do something more around this Farm. 
I don't get it. I am a SpokesGoat.
I eat hay.
I keep the twins in line. Isn't that enough?

Apparently not for her. She seems to think I should now be a product reviewer. So she has signed me up to review something from CSNStores.com.

I doubt they will send me apples.
I could do an excellent review of apples.

They will probably want me to look at a bathroom vanity or something.
Now the publicist has a very pretty vanity in her bathroom but I AM A GOAT FOR HEAVEN'S SAKE! The publicist likes this one...

It does look good enough to munch. 
I guess I am now going to be a ReviewGoat.

SpokesGoat Announcement

Well, I guess I really have two announcements. The first is that the memory card for the publicist's new video camera arrived! Isn't that exciting? But the bad news is the temperature around these parts; it was 19* last night so the publicist couldn't take any movies of us. It will have to wait until the middle of next week when it warms up.
Oh well!

But now I have exciting news about my rich soap. This is what a SpokesGoat does and I have to earn my keep around here! But first I must show my headshot so you know I am on duty

The publicist can now make tiny, little bars of my rich soap! 
These are perfect as favors for weddings or showers.

Aren't they cute? They weigh 1.5 ounces and she can make them in any scent that is available in my shop or she could even order a custom scent with enough lead time.  These are a special order item because they take a month to cure so you have to let the publicist know you need them a bit ahead of time.

The publicist has done several orders of these cute soaps already; one large wedding and one trade show.  She can even make custom labels at no extra charge! 

She can also make small round soaps too. 
She is just full of ......ideas.

SpokesGoat Notes

Today is a day full of SpokeGoating. I have several announcements for you regarding my rich soap! You know how much I like to talk about my rich soap. First I will put up my head shot because a good SpokesGoat always shows herself to her best advantage

 and I do like my head shot. I think it shows off my eyes very nicely.

Now, on to the announcements!

This is a big one; the publicist has found BIODEGRADABLE PACKAGING for my rich soap! Isn't that exciting?! Now instead of cellophane that will live forever in the landfill my rich soap will be packaged in biodegradable type cellophane. I am very happy about this. So is the publicist and the male person.

Secondly the publicist has started listing my new scent for winter called First Snow. It smells like when you take a walk out in the snow! It's very fresh, clean and crisp. It's available in several shapes like plain bars

and others to come. Woo hoo for new scents. This is a limited edition so once it's gone, it's gone. In about a month we will have Berrywine in limited edition as well. Mmmmm, rich and heady like a glass of red wine. I will let you know when it is ready.

Cowtastic

I am in full SpokesGoat mode today. I am very excited about it too. I have not had a big announcement for my shop in a long time. But now I do! The publicist has been working hard making lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots of new soaps so you can be sure to have plenty to choose from for the upcoming holiday season. And well for any old reason at all. Because remember - my rich soap is NOT too pretty to use. It is to be used every day. It makes people happy when they use my rich soap - just look at what they have written about it here.

I am proud to introduce our new Harry the CowGoat Soap!


Yay!

We have this soap in honor of little Harry who looks rather like a little cow.



It was time for something new in the shop and the publicist and I thought this would be a fun new soap to offer. The publicist has been working hard to have these ready in several scents. She will be listing them in my shop over the next few days.

Now of course I want to offer my loyal readers a special to celebrate this new addition to the line - so if you place an order that includes a Harry the CowGoat Soap through August 31st you will receive 15% off of your entire order!!!! Harry Wonders - What are They?

Now that Harry is a week old and he has grown a bit and gotten stronger he and Abby have moved into the big pen with the rest of us "girl" goats. I use the quotation marks because of Kevin. He isn't a boy and he isn't a girl but he is in the doe pen so..... Little Harry has also been wethered so he is in Kevin's boat too. That way they can keep each other company when they go to their new Farm.

Now you all know that the chickens are in my goat pen. Some of the chickens are bigger than Harry! He has been exploring the big pen and I think he wonders what those funny animals are.

He has gone over and checked out the chicken tractor.




I have even heard rumors from the male person that he was IN the chicken tractor like another small goat on the Farm. I have not seen this myself but I could have been napping in my goat house. Silly goat.

He has gone around the other side of the chicken tractor and checked out the chickens.



I think he likes hopping on the boardwalk. To a little goat like Harry that is a big hop right now.



As far as I know he hasn't butted any of the chickens but I don't see everything....

Oooh, Look at Me!

As you all know I take my SpokesGoat duties very seriously. I try and do my best to deal with my media appointments in a friendly manner and keep my goat gas to a minimun while giving interviews. Well it seems that I have done very well indeed! My Baby Magazine has me on the cover. I gave them an interview after I had Kevin the goat. I think it came out very nicely, don't you?

I also gave them some very cute photos of Kevin for the interior. There is nothing cuter than a baby goat! I have said this before - and with a kid like this who could disagree?

My First (Temporary) Spokesgoat Gig

Woo Hoo! I get to do my first spokesgoating while Pricilla is still taking care of Kevin and I am so excited. First it lets me show you my beautiful headshot again:

I think I look very nice.

But what I am very excited to report to you is that the publicist made more soap last night. WITH MY MILK! Yes, that is right. Pricilla hasn't been contributing any milk lately as she has been resting - like I believe that - because of Kevin coming. So this soap is all made with 100% Abby milk. That MUST make it better some how - don't you think?

She even made a new scents just for Abby milk. That may not technically be true but I am going to pretend it is. She made Perfect Pomegranate and Old Goat which is really patchouli for all of you old goats out there. She thinks that is funny but I don't know why. She says it is in honor of the male person's misspent youth. I can see the male person being a bad boy....he has that look about him. So here is my spokesgoat moment:

These soaps will be available in about a month. They are on the curing shelf.

So how did I do?

I suppose I have to include another photo of baby Kevin. I can be a gracious goat....

The SpokesGoat Speaks

In what may be my last spokesgoat performance for a bit (Abby will take over the blog while I take my maternity leave) I would like to show you what the publicist did last night. No, you don't have to run and hide your eyes. Sheesh! This is a family blog!

She made soap! I mean after all, I AM the spokesgoat for Happy Goat Soap. I have to do my work occasionally. I will get some time off when I have the kids and the way they are kicking I suspect it will be any day now. But back to the topic at hand - soap! The publicist was a busy soap maker last night making some old favorites and creating a new scent just in time for summer.

Back in stock will be Sweetgrass which will remind you of that great smell in the air after you mow the lawn and juicy, fresh Strawberry Heaven . Mmmmm, a soap that smells like a bowl full of ripe berries. Don't eat it though, it won't taste good AT ALL. But that yummy scent got the publicist to thinking about hot summer days. What is refreshing on those days? Strawberry lemonade! That's right. She made soap that smells like strawberry lemonade. Oooh, it's light and refreshing with the rich smell of those berries topped by the bright, crisp addition of tart lemon. What could be better?

All the beautiful soaps are curing and will be available in a month. The publicist is going to make more soap this week with some friends that want to learn how to make soap. That should be lots of fun.

One more thing for today; I want to do something I haven't done in quite a while. Bestow the Coveted Scratch of the Tail Award! That's right - to GypsyMoonDesigns a fellow Montanan. She created a beautiful treasury and included the Pricilla soap! GypsyMoon makes beautiful jewelry like this necklace. I know it would look wonderful against my fur! The Chicks All Right with Pricilla

It is time once again for me to dust off my headshot and actually do my job as SpokesGoat for Happy Goat Soap. I really do enjoy my work - it gets me out of the pen and maaaaaing to my public. I will have to retire for a bit when the kids arrive as they will need my attention for about a month - but then I will be back to work!

Today I would like to remind you of our The Chicks All Right with Pricilla Soap. This is one of our newest shapes. We introduced it to celebrate the fact that we are getting chickens this spring. That's right! There will be little chicks running around the Happy Goats Farm. I have been assured that the name of the Farm is not being changed. I personally would not have stood for that! The chicks are all right with me but I don't want them horning in on my territory. I am sure you can all agree with me.

But back to business. These pretty and delightfully scented soaps would make a great gift for chicken lovers everywhere. Better yet - how about putting one in an Easter basket instead of filling it will all candy. Wouldn't that be a cute idea? I am just such a clever spokesgoat, aren't I?

At the same time we introduced the Chicks soap we brought you The Rooster in the Goat Pen Soap. Now I know we need the roosters to go with the chicks, just like we need our bucks but those roosters better steer clear of me! But you can have your own Rooster soap without having to worry about loose feathers. Could it get any better?

The shop has a whole section with just bird soaps; this also includes our Eagle on the River Soap.

So why not do a very pregnant spokesgoat a favor and pop on into the shop and have a look around? I would appreciate it.

Crazy Goats!

I live with a bunch of crazy goats! I do not include myself in that sentence. I am not a crazy goat; I am a Happy Goat as befits the spokesgoat for Happy Goats Soap. But given the behavior of the other goats on this farm I am beginning to think it should have been called the Crazy Goats Farm. For example, yesterday when our publicist/udder massage specialist was bringing Abigail and me down from the barn to our pen Abigail decided it would be a good time to go visit the horses across the street - and off she ran. But she forgot that the driveway is a sheet of ice. Her hooves were a' moving but Abigail was not. She eventually got some traction but ended up doing a face plant and sliding a good four feet before the publicist caught up to her and got her turned around. I was trying to be a good goat and not laugh at her but it was very, very hard.

Then Michael the goat escaped from HIS pen. Again. Now that he has discovered how to get a running head of steam and leap over his fence he just keeps doing so. He is just so proud of himself! The publicist drags him back to his pen by his horns -which he doesn't like at all! I think it upsets him that she is strong enough to do it. Hee hee. This week our male person is going to buy taller fencing so that Michael will stay where he belongs - hopefully.

But the topper of the day belonged to Luke the goat. When it was time to head back up to the barn for our goat treat and a good night's sleep Luke decided he just wasn't quite ready yet. Actually Michael didn't head right up either so the publicist had her hands full of rammy goats. She went to the goat barn and got a lead, hooked Michael the goat up and took him to the barn. When Luke the goat saw her returning he climbed the mulch pile. The publicist yelled at him; told him he better not dare jump into the doe pen. But you can guess what happened. Luke leaped! He started chasing Abigail around as if his life depended on it. I just stood back while Abigail ran like the devil was chasing her. And in a way I guess he was. Again, I tried not to laugh at Abigail's predicament but it was ABIGAIL after all.....

The publicist opened our gate and I ran out. Abigail finally figured out to escape as well. Luke had the gate slammed in his little goat face. He was not happy about this at all! Abigail and I RAN to the goat barn while Luke MAAAAAAAAed like a crazy goat. The publicist got us settled and went back for Luke the goat and found him with his head stuck in the fence! He put it through were our pen meets the garden. He was trying to fit his whole little goat body through an 8" x 8" hole. Crazy goat! When the publicist went in to help him he was so focused on getting to us girls that he did not want to back out of the fence, he just wanted to go forward. It's that whole "gotta get a doe" mentality these bucks have, you know? And I thought he was in love with ME. Bucks are fickle, FICKLE!

Anyway, with much wiggling the publicist finally was able to get Luke the goat out of the fencing, hooked up to a lead and into his pen in the barn. Whew! She was exhausted! Luke the goat was, uh, frustrated.

Feature Friday

Today I am starting something new; I am going rogue as they say nowadays. I am going to be a spokesgoat for a product other than Happy Goats Soaps. DON'T TELL MY PUBLICIST! She will surely withhold my goat treat tonight and I love my goat treat! Just thinking about those apples......





Well on to our special guest shop, may I present JudyElizabethsFlock! Judy Elizabeth lives in Montana just like me but she lives way, way up on the border by Glacier National Park. She makes adorable soft sculpture lambs. You thought I was going to say goats, didn't you? Goats and sheep get along quite well and oftentimes graze together. We goats will eat weeds that are poisonous to sheep but don't bother us at all. Judy Elizabeth has based her design on one of the sheep she used to have in her flock, Jena the Gentle Ewe. With each purchase of a lamb you get the tale of Jena; it is a delightful story written with love by Judy Elizabeth herself.





She also makes hand stenciled sachets, sweatshirts, tee shirts and totes all featuring her cute little flock of sheep. Plenty of choices for a unique Valentine's gift.

The Sweet Smell of New Soap

Mmmmmmm, lavender. And mountain huckleberry. Oooh and exotic red tea. It is an exciting time around the Happy Goats soap kitchen. New soap has been made and while lavender is an old favorite we are introducing some new scents and shapes for spring! Now of course I am not to be involved in the actual soapmaking I am, after all a goat but my publicist always lets me have a sniff of what she has made so I can give her my hoof stamp of approval. I have been a long time fan of lavender; it is so very relaxing. I think that maybe if we fed some to Abigail it might just calm her down a bit and she would stop trying to hog all of the hay.

The new scents we have made so far for Spring include: Afternoon Tea, which is a sweet and lightly spicy fragrance that I think is my new favorite. Orange Creamsicle, mmmmm remember those ice cream bars with the orange ice on the outside and the vanilla ice cream in the middle? It smells just like they did. Mountain Huckleberry, this one is like a bowl of fresh, tart wild huckleberries. Red Tea, slightly sweet and quite exotic. This one is limited and I chose to have Pricilla bars made in it. So you can see that it is going to be a sweet smelling place around here...

A few of the new shapes have already been introduced in the shop like the I Heart My Goats, The Eagle on the River and A Pet for The Goats but there will be more new soaps coming soon to celebrate the soon to be new residents of the Happy Goats Farm - WE'RE GETTING CHICKENS! That's right, cute little feathered friends to frolic with on the farm.

I realize this has been a highly informational post but I am , after all a spokesgoat and must sometimes do my job and put forth the good word about the wonderful soaps that are produced with my milk. You cannot imagine how thrilled I was to see myself! While the writer of this blog is not actually a goat, I feel she understands goats completely. Do check it out - you will surely chuckle.

Spokesgoat Alert

We start today with another Spokesgoat Alert. I do want to thank all of these wonderful people for featuring our soaps in their beautiful Treasuries. I as a humble spokesgoat am very honored.

The very talented TwoLeftHands curated a glorious Treasury and featured our I Heart My Goats Soap. Her shop is full of the most adorable dolls I have ever seen. But I will be honest, this is one creature I NEVER want to see up close! What I do wish for all of you is for Cupid to grant all of your Valentine's Dreams!

How You Can Become a SpokesGoat

Now I am sure that many of you out there would just love to become a famous spokesgoat just like me. It wasn't easy and as I mentioned in my last post there was some luck involved but I am happy to share what I know with you so that perhaps you, too can enter the realm of caprine glory.

Most important is a good head shot. Any famous super model will tell you this. While it is BORING to sit still for all the picture taking when you get a final result like my world famous Happy Goats photo, well, it is all worth it. I have, of course, included it here for you all to see. But with a face like mine it is very easy to take a good picture. My problem is I just don't like to stand still. I have better things to do with my time like eat hay and those apples and carrots of which I am so fond.

My publicist/udder massage specialist worked for quite a while to get this photo of me and I do believe she did an excellent job. It shows off my eyes just right. The snowy background is a perfect compliment to my soft brown and white coloring. Hopefully you all have a publicist/udder massage specialist that will be as willing to work as hard for you.

Well, that is enough for today. There is hay to be eaten and Abigail to be avoided. Maaaaaaa!

How I Became So Famous

I am sure many of you are wondering how I became so famous. It is not every ruminant walking around that gets to become a spokesgoat. I think I chalk it mostly up to luck and timing; I am the nicest goat on the farm and I do take a good photo. I, unlike Abigail, will stand still when the camera comes out so my shots are nice and clear. I also do not butt the publicist/udder massage specialist - and this makes a very big difference in the way one is perceived as a goat.

So while I did not ask for this job I can say I am enjoying it. The attention is wonderful and I love all the petting. I especially love to have my tail scratched. I am looking for staff right now and would like to hire a good tail scratcher so if you would like to apply just contact my publicist and I will set up an interview....there is no pay, just the glory of my presence. As I have said - how many spokesgoats do you know?
