Mallory Teaches Kevin

My little Kevin has been spending a fair bit of time playing with Jillian and Mallory. I think this is a good idea as I get a bit tired and it is nice if he can go run off some of his energy with some younger goats. I am not a spring chicken any longer and sometimes having a kid hopping on you over and over again can get tiring.

Mallory has been especially patient with him. She has been teaching him how to butt. It is an important skill for him learn and I am thankful to her for spending the time with him.

She will gently put her head to his and push lightly against him. He likes this.

He will back off a bit and come back for more. They almost look like they are bowing to each other, don't they?

He will also stamp his little front hooves as if to charge her; but she knows he is just practicing.

One day he will be as tough looking as Michael the buck when he gets on his hind legs...

Only 9 more days to sign up for the newsletter and be entered into the drawing for THREE BARS of my rich soap. I won't spam you. I am too busy trying to keep the hopping Kevin off of my back....

Oooh, Look at Me!

As you all know I take my SpokesGoat duties very seriously. I try and do my best to deal with my media appointments in a friendly manner and keep my goat gas to a minimun while giving interviews. Well it seems that I have done very well indeed! My Baby Magazine has me on the cover. I gave them an interview after I had Kevin the goat. I think it came out very nicely, don't you?

*

I also gave them some very cute photos of Kevin for the interior. There is nothing cuter than a baby goat! I have said this before - and with a kid like this who could disagree?

As always, I remind you to sign up for my newsletter. What do you have to lose? Better yet - what do you have to win? THREE BARS of my rich soap is what! All who sign up through May 16th are entered into the drawing.

*The publicist made this funny cover with me on it - it is not real.

Big Day Out for Kevin

Back to the kid today, *sigh*. Kevin had his first day out of the barn yesterday. He spent the whole day in the pen with me and Pricilla. I was a very good goat I have to say. I didn't butt him once. I got that out of my system the first time I met him. I won't butt him any more - unless he butts me of course. If he butts me I reserve the right to butt him back!

Pricilla brought him down from the barn and she stopped to make sure everything was AOK.

Then we all went into our pen.

Kevin had lots of fun checking out the pen. It must have seemed so big to him after spending his first two days in the barn. He looked at the mulch pile.

He looked at the goat house.

He played by the spools. He is too small to jump up on them yet.

The publicist even gave him a scratch on the chin.

He seemed to enjoy all his fun time exploring and I have to admit it was nice to have him around. I will of course close this post with a photo of me because I can't do anything else.

My First (Temporary) Spokesgoat Gig

Woo Hoo! I get to do my first spokesgoating while Pricilla is still taking care of Kevin and I am so excited. First it lets me show you my beautiful headshot again:

I think I look very nice.

But what I am very excited to report to you is that the publicist made more soap last night. WITH MY MILK! Yes, that is right. Pricilla hasn't been contributing any milk lately as she has been resting - like I believe that - because of Kevin coming. So this soap is all made with 100% Abby milk. That MUST make it better some how - don't you think?

She even made a new scents just for Abby milk. That may not technically be true but I am going to pretend it is. She made Perfect Pomegranate and Old Goat which is really patchouli for all of you old goats out there. She thinks that is funny but I don't know why. She says it is in honor of the male person's misspent youth. I can see the male person being a bad boy....he has that look about him. So here is my spokesgoat moment:

These soaps will be available in about a month. They are on the curing shelf.
So how did I do?
I suppose I have to include another photo of baby Kevin. I can be a gracious goat....
