I am Retiring

It's true.
I would not lie.
I am an old goat.
I am tired.
I have been writing this blog since 2009 and I think I have maaaaaed all I have to maaa.

The publicist is tired too.
It is hard for her to manage two blogs.

This does not mean that you won't be able to see us goats.
The publicist is going to post about us on HER blog on a regular basis.
The Farm cats too.
She hopes you will go over to it and visit.
She will also be showing photos on her facebook page so you can follow there to see what we are up too.

For the rest of this week I will be posting my favorite posts from the last years.
I can't tell you how honored I have been that you have all come to read what this little goat has had to maaaaaa. It warms my heart.

Know that I have enjoyed sharing my life and the antics of the goats and Farm cats with all of you.
The blog will remain up if you want to come and look through the old posts. At least for a while.

And always remember The Maaaaaa of Pricilla. It's very good advice if I do maaaaa so myself

Farm Cat Friday - The Publicist Took a Trip Off of the Farm

Would you like to know where she went?
She went to AniMeals to drop off all of the fun stuff that was collected from the Catastic Event!
The male person told her the ONLY way he would take her was if she PROMISED to not bring home another cat.

The meany.

She reluctantly agreed. But she was NOT happy. Especially when she was greeted at the door by this pretty boy:

He came right up to her and let her pick him up and everything!
The publicist said he was very soft.

They dropped the food and other goodies off on the counter and everyone at the shelter was very happy to receive it. As you can see it was soon appropriated.

This is Kiki. Apparently Kiki is in charge of food inventory. She was also very friendly. She did not move from that bag of food for the whole time the publicist stayed at AniMeals! I do hope she shares!

The publicist had a fun time visiting all of the kitties  They had lots of toys and places to play which made her happy but they did not have forever homes which made her sad.

She found a couple of  cuties that could be Harry cousins.
Truth be told she wanted to bring them ALL home.

The male person just said, "AH-HEM!"

All in all the people at AniMeals were very happy with the food, fuzzy blanket, $75 Amazon GC, kitty litter from Precious Cat and thanks to all of you who participated in the Commentathon a $50 check.

The publicist will hopefully go back soon with some more food for the kitties.
Who knows what she might come home with - BWAHAHAHAHA

I Thank You!

I just wanted to say thank you to all of my nice readers who wrote such nice things when I told you all that I lost my kid this year.

I am feeling better and will now get back to writing the blog as usual.

To answer some of your questions I really don't know exactly why I lost my baby but these things do happen. I don't think I will have any more kids; I am an old goat at 13 and I will probably just enjoy grazing, basking and eating apples. Not bad.

You all made me feel very loved and I truly appreciate that.

I am very happy that my Sarah might be coming back to live on the Farm. I haven't seen her in a long time and it will be nice to have her back. She was a very cute kid - you know her best as the goat coat model.

And there will be lots of kids to ooooh and aaaah over as Abby will be having hers soon and Mallory will have hers in a couple of months.

So I say let's all be happy goats!
That's the way it should be!

Coveted Scratch of the Tail Award

I woke up this morning to exciting news from my publicist. She told me that my wonderful soap had been on the FRONT PAGE of etsy. Now that is just wonderful. It means that so many more people got to see my rich, goat's milk soap. So of course this means it is time again to bestow The Coveted Scratch of the Tail Award. Ta da!

The list was created by DalMare who makes beautiful crystal jewelry. In fact she is having a President's Day sale in her shop right now. Maybe I will get my ears pierced and treat myself to these. I think I would look good in purple, don't you? And I noticed that she comes from the Jersey Shore! That is where my publicist moved from before she came to Montana. So I thank DalMare for adding my Sea Urchin Soap to her beautiful list.

I also found my Shaving Soap to be in another lovely list from Strandsoflight. Her shop tag says "mindfully made to be playfully worn." I like that. I do everything playfully. That is the life of a goat! I like these but I fear Abigail might think they were real flowers and eat them right off of my ears!

I thank both of these ladies for creating such beauty and including my soap in it. I hope they enjoy their award.

Coveted Scratch of the Tail Awards

I have not granted my Coveted Scratch of the Tail Award in a bit so I am pleased today to bestow it upon the following people for listing my rich soap in their beautiful Treasuries on etsy;

First to AudreysCountryCrafts her beautiful list is full of a variety of sweet smelling soaps and she chose my Maaaaasssage Bar Scented with Spicy Lemon Rose to feature. Her shop is full of the cutest country crafts I have seen. I think this would be a great tribute to the chickens that will soon be here on the Farm.

The second offering comes from thedryingrack, a shop full of the CUTEST needle felted items EVER. I just love these - they are in my favorite color, PINK. This list features my Sea Urchin Soap - uncented. A great choice for those of you who don't like scented soaps.

Wowzers! New treasuries opened and nice etsy folk have again featured my soaps!

My very popular Sea Urchin soap was in a list curated by eclipse. Her shop is lots of fun to browse through. I think that if I wore this I might not be as cold. I also might buy this and put it in Michael's pen - it might take some of the stink away but I doubt it. There is no hope of taking Michael's stink away - he is a buck.

The second list comes courtesy of another Montanan - AsianExpressions. Uyen has been kind enough to feature me before and I thank her again for showing my Rich Goat's Milk Soap Scented with Sandalwood. I wrote about her beautiful kimonos before but they are worth mentioning again. I still would like to have this for my goat house. But Abigail would probably eat it!

Oh boy! Time to present The Coveted Scratch of the Tail Award. This is what makes my job as spokesgoat so much fun; I love giving out this award.

I learned of a sea urchin themed treasury curated by mmarielle She creates beautiful bottles, urns and amphorae but I think my favorite is this. The problem is, I would probably eat any flowers placed in it! So please visit the list and check out the beautiful shop. You will love what you see.

My Abby and Nora soap in the Strawberry Heaven scent is in a colorful list from the Treasury Queen of the Big Sky Montana Team - Judy Elizabeth from JudyElizabethsFlock. I am sure you remember reading about her adorable soft sculpture lambs in this post. Her shop is chock full of adorable lambs.

I was browsing through the Treasury lists and found one created by Twinklefish that features our Sea Urchin Soap. It is a lovely list that features items from the sea. So of course this means (insert TA DA here) that I am awarding Twinklefish my Coveted Scratch of the Tail Award!

Her shop has a lovely assortment of jewelry items including this necklace that I think would look lovely on me. Well, if it could be extended, of course.

It is a busy day in the Spokesgoat world! I am more than proud to note that an exceptionally funny blog called Nanny Goats in Panties has featured ME today as her Goat Thing of the Day.
