Harry Wonders - What are They?

Now that Harry is a week old and he has grown a bit and gotten stronger he and Abby have moved into the big pen with the rest of us "girl" goats. I use the quotation marks because of Kevin. He isn't a boy and he isn't a girl but he is in the doe pen so..... Little Harry has also been wethered so he is in Kevin's boat too. That way they can keep each other company when they go to their new Farm.

Now you all know that the chickens are in my goat pen. Some of the chickens are bigger than Harry! He has been exploring the big pen and I think he wonders what those funny animals are.

He has gone over and checked out the chicken tractor.

I have even heard rumors from the male person that he was IN the chicken tractor like another small goat on the Farm. I have not seen this myself but I could have been napping in my goat house. Silly goat.

He has gone around the other side of the chicken tractor and checked out the chickens.

I think he likes hopping on the boardwalk. To a little goat like Harry that is a big hop right now.

As far as I know he hasn't butted any of the chickens but I don't see everything....

Now I must be a SpokesGoat for a minute. The next issue of the newsletter will be going out next week! Hooray! The publicist has an announcement about exciting news for my shop and my rich soap so be sure to sign up if you haven't.

What Kevin Saw

First I would like to wish all of you mothers out there a Happy Mother's Day. I don't know about you but I think we mothers deserve more than one day of celebration. I know that looking after my hopping Kevin is a full time job. Add that to being SpokesGoat and well! Plus writing this blog. I am sure all of you working mothers out there can understand. But anyway, enjoy your special day. I understand I am going to get extra apple tonight to celebrate. That is just fine by me. I always like some extra apple!

Yesterday I promised to tell you what Kevin was watching from the top of the plywood stack. Well, as you know he hops up there all the time now, but one day he hopped up and he started to peak into the barn; something had caught his attention.

What did he see? Why, Jillian!

And Mallory too! They were looking to get into their pen for the evening. They wanted their evening grain.

Kevin was, of course, still in the mood for a hop or two so he wasn't quite ready to come down yet so he just stayed up there and watched.

Until he finally came down and went into the barn.

Thanks for tuning in for this hopping mystery.

Have a happy Sunday and be sure to sign up for my newsletter. Only a few more days before the deadline (May 16th) to be eligible for the drawing for THREE BARS of my rich soap. I promise not to spam you...only once a month or less.

No More Snow!

It snowed here on the Farm yesterday. In April. I think there should be some kind of rule against that. I mean it was sunny and warm not too many days ago. I have said it before - I am an African goat. I like it warm. I don't like this snow stuff. Little Kevin wasn't too happy with it either. He screamed like he was being attacked. The publicist and I ran out of the barn thinking he was hurt and it turned out he was just standing there with snow falling on him. I can't say that I blame him but he sure did scare us! I sincerely doubt that the snow was hurting him! Jillian and Mallory wouldn't even leave the barn. It made for some serious challenges for the publicist. She had to play musical pens with us goats. Michael was trying to kill Luke so she had to separate them, so Michael went in Abby's pen and Luke went in the buck pen. Abby, Kevin and I ventured out and spent some time in the goat house but we got tired of that and wanted back in the barn. This caused the publicist to have to put Luke in my pen and the three of us in the buck pen. Whew! What a confusing day. I am not sure I like all of these changes. Goats like things to be the same. I think Michael should stop trying to kill Luke! I do not know what is up with that.

The publicist didn't take any pictures of the snow because it was such a miserable day so I will leave you with some oldies but goodies of the fun days that came before.

Here are Abby and I peacefully grazing in the garden. We can't do that any longer because the male person has planted some spinach and lettuce. Mmmmmm, spinach and lettuce. He knows we would eat it all so he has put the fence back up. Oh well.

Jillian takes in the view of the river. I think we have the life here on the Farm.

And of course, the boys. Being boys.

Hopefully the sun will be back out soon. Or at least the snow will be gone and we can get back to normal. I don't like spending all day in the barn; but it is better than being out in the snow. Did I mention that I HATE SNOW?!

Oh, well don't let my snow rant deter you from entering the drawing for THREE BARS of my rich soap. How can you win, you ask? Simple! Just sign up for my cool newsletter; it will only come out once a month or so. I am a busy goat and won't have time to spam you. All who sign up through May 16th will be entered into the drawing. Easy, right?

I'm Baaaaaaack

I am so happy to be back writing the blog! While it was nice to have a little time off, that time off wasn't exactly restful. As you all know I had my kid, Kevin. I must say that I am quite happy to have my goatly figure back. And isn't he just the cutest little kid? Of course I am prejudiced but I know cute when I see cute. Plus we had Jillian and Mallory move in with us. It was sure a busy week.

I had a new headshot taken but I don't think I am happy with it. I think I will stick with my older one. What do you all think?

I think I look better in my old one...

I was also busy writing a newsletter to go out to interested folk. It will only go out once a month or so as I am a very busy spokesgoat. It will offer specials and discounts to readers first. Plus any new scents or shapes will be for sale in the newsletter first. If you are interested just sign up right here in the blog! We are going to offer a contest for a THREE BARS of my rich soap. For the next month anyone who signs up will be entered. Then Mr. Randomizer will pick a winner. So starting from 4/16 through 5/16 anyone who signs up will be entered. Don't worry, I really won't write that often. (I will be a good goat and include anyone who has already signed up!)

I hope you are happy to have me back. I missed coming in every day and writing my stories. I understand Abby did a good job. I guess I am glad. I wouldn't have wanted her to mess things up.

She has been pretty good to little Kevin too. She has only butt him once or twice or three times or four. It goes with the Abby territory.

I leave you today with a picture of my little guy. What else would a good mother do?

I have lots of good posts planned for the coming days so stay tuned!
