Farm Cat Friday - Post Redux: Meet Harry the Farm Kitten

The publicist is not feeling well so for today's Farm Cat Friday I bring you and oldie but a goodie - the post where we introduced Harry the Farm cat. It made the publicist smile to see his little kitten face again. I hope it does the same for all of you.....

I am so happy to be back blogging.
I needed my maternity leave but the twins are big enough now and it was time I got back to work.
I don't want that Pricilla to have all the glory.

In fact, I Abby, get to introduce you to the new Farm kitten!
Isn't that exciting.
Pfffft to Pricilla!

Meet Harry.

Isn't he cute? I like him because he is black and white just like ME!
He is getting settled in to the Farm.
Sherpa is eating cleaning him.

They have been playing together.
It's hard to remember that Sherpa was once that small.

They like to wrestle together

But then they both fall asleep.

They are both very sweet kitties.
I hope you enjoyed meeting Harry the kitten.
He is named after the publicist's daddy.

Welcome to the Catstacular Event!

Greetings!

As you all know Pricilla is taking a little break from blogging. She is going to rest and bask.
I am Sherpa the Farm cat for anyone who does not know me.
I am going to be your Maitre de Chat or MC for this event. We are going to have lots of fun and I am hoping to provide you with a bit of catucation along the way.

Pricilla was very kind to intermew me when I first came to the Farm but I would like to briefly tell you my story:

I don't remember where I was born. I only know that when I was a tiny little kitten I was in a cage in the shelter in Missoula, Montana with my brother. I don't know how I got there or where my mommy was. It was very scary.

Then one day this man came in looking for an orange cat!
He wanted to surprise his wife.
He saw me and brought me home.
THAT is how I became a Farm cat!

I love living on the Happy Goats Farm although I think it should be the Happy CATS Farm!
I also think that all cats in the shelter should find homes.

There are also three other Farm cats living here, Stinky, Pumpkin and Harry. They are all stray cats that the publicist took in.

Stinky she found in New Jersey. Poor Stinky was running around with a collar that was so tight that when the publicist cut it off it left an indentation on her neck that was there for a long, long time.

Pumpkin showed up under the trailer one day shortly after the publicist moved to Montana. He was very, very hungry. She fed him for a couple of days and then one day he ran into the trailer and he has never left!

Harry is the newest Farm Cat. He was brought to the Farm by a neighbor. His mommy had been hit by a car and Harry was sitting in the street meowing. The neighbor already had too many cats so the publicist took him in.

That is how all of us came to live on the Farm. The publicist has always taken in stray cats and feels that it is not our fault but humans' fault that cats are running around loose and filling up shelters. She says to be sure to get your cats spayed and neutered.  I can't say I agree on the neutered part.

This week will be fun filled and to start it off be sure to head over to the publicist's blog to enter to win a $25.00 Gift Certificate to Katz Gluten Free. She says they have some very yummy foods to eat.

Be sure to come back tomorrow for the next exciting day in the Catstacular Event!!!!

Silly Sunday - Harry "Helps" The Male Person

I'll just double check that light for you....

Do you need any help down there?

I am not sure the male person appreciated all of this "help."
Harry has been enjoying the ladder, though. He climbs it day and night.
Especially night.

AbbyDay - I Get to Announce the Catstacular Event!

Why I get to waste my AbbyDay telling you about the Farm cats I will never know but here goes. I just want you to know that I did not agree to this - it was all Pricilla. Pfffft!

Starting March 14th and running for two weeks the Farm cats will be taking over this blog.
Really!
They are going to be holding a Catstacular Event Celebrating Cats.

(and not goats which I think is all wrong)
Sherpa is searching everywhere

to find great things to show you.
There will be giveaways on the publicists blog!

Harry is looking too!

He is inviting Famous Blogging Cats to come and write guest posts.
(why he is not inviting famous goats I do not know)

I do not think he will find them in the male person's jeans.
But he is looking anyway.
Stupid cats!

I guess I will enjoy a vacation. Pricilla seems happy about it. She says she needs some time to herself.
Pffffft.

So mark it on your calendars and all of you cat lovers get ready for the Catstacular!

Sherpa and Harry Model! (But Not Well)

The publicist received a package yesterday.
She likes to get packages.

I want to get packages.
With apples in them.

Oh well.
The publicist's package had goat coats in it!
That's right!

Her blog friend, Texan made them for Mallory's kids which are due very soon now.
December is not a good time to have kids in Montana.

The publicist sent Texan a pair of earrings and Texan sent the publicist the goat coats.
How cool is that?

Since there are no kids around right now Sherpa and Harry will model the goat coats.
They were not happy - or very cooperative. Not like Daisy and Harley!

Sherpa is not sure about this coat wearing at all!

Harry comes to sniff him and check out the embroidery.

Photobucket

Little did Harry know he was next!

He does look cute though, doesn't he?

Soon there will be goat kids in these coats.
Awwwww.

Silly Farm cats!

Silly Sunday - Is Sherpa A VAMPIRE Cat?

I have been skulking around and watching Farm cat Sherpa.
I am worried he might be....

A VAMPIRE CAT!!!!!

What is my evidence you ask?
Just look - he sneaks up on Harry the Farm kitten all nice and sweet.
He licks him and holds him like he is his friend
Then he goes in for the big bitey!
THE BITEY IS RIGHT ON HARRY'S NECK!

What do you think?
Should I be worried?
Should I wear garlic?
Mmmm, garlic.

Harry the Farm Kitten Goes on a Trip

Harry the Farm kitten is going on a trip today.
I never get to go on trips.
I think something is wrong with this.

I don't know exactly where he is going.
I do know the publicist told him to "kiss his pom poms goodbye."
Whatever that means.

I do know that he has been making the strangest noises around the yurt.
She also said he would be sleepy when he came home.

I think he has the sleepy part pretty well down.
What do you think?

ps:  Everyone here at the Happy Goats Farm thinks it is very important to have your kitties and doggies spayed and neutered.

What's in the Bag?

The male person was helping the publicist in the kitchen yesterday.
But somehow I don't think THIS belongs in the bag...

Sherpa the Farm cat feels the same way.

But Harry the Farm kitten seems to think this is a good place to be.

In spite of Sherpa's attempt to scare him out of it

What do you think was supposed to be in the bag?

And is there a treat for us goats to follow?

Silly Sunday

The male person was trying to eat his dinner when suddenly he had a visitor.

A visitor that wanted to SHARE his dinner.

He went to give it a good sniff.

But the male person did NOT want to share.

Silly Harry!

Silly Sunday

Sherpa the Farm cat really is learning to love Harry the Farm kitten.
They spend a lot of time together.

Aren't they sweet?

Is Someone Watching Over Me?

I was out for my graze and as I was enjoying the grass I felt like I was being watched.
It was a very odd feeling.
I thought I would try and see if anyone was spying on me. I tried to look nonchalant - I pretended I was scratching an itch - aren't I a smart doe?

but I didn't see anything.
I went back to my grazing but still felt like I was being watched. Then I thought to look up and what did I see?

Sherpa the Farm Cat and Harry the Farm Kitten sitting in the window!
Spying on me!

Silly kitties!

I think they liked it up there because they stayed in the window for quite some time.

I decided I would sit down and rest and ruminate on this cat spying.

I am not sure this is a good thing.
How would you feel if you were being spied on by these two?

Scary, huh?

Tomorrow:  It's AbbyDay!
