Yesterday you saw my Luke wearing a very strange hat.
I must admit it does nothing to enhance his studmuffinness.
In fact, I think he looks rather silly.
But I understand why the publicist put it there.
You see, there has been a LOT of this in the buck pen.
A LOT.
Oh don't feel sad for little Brewster.
He instigates most of it.
It's true!
He will go right up to Luke and butt heads and keep butting heads until Luke responds.
It is not all Luke's fault.
The problem lies in the size difference between the two boys.
While Brewster's head no longer gets stuck in Luke's horns his little leg will.
The publicist will suddenly hear Brewster SCREAMING and she will run out and find Luke throwing him around like a rag doll because his leg is stuck between Luke's horns. His leg gets stuck in the part right in the middle almost at the base of his head.
The publicist and male person think it happens when Brewster is doing the goat stomp and Luke brings his head up. They have never seen it happen so they are not completely sure.
They are going to split the buck pen but the male person cannot drive fence poles in the winter.
The publicist thought of tying the baling twine on Luke's horns in the meanwhile.
So far it is working.
In fact Luke has been much calmer since it is has been done.
We are not sure but we think he is embarrassed.
I would be, wouldn't you?

Sarah is Ready for Her Close Up
The publicist came out to the doe pen to see how we were doing.
Sarah the goat ran up to the gate.
She really loves the publicist.
You see, the publicist bottle fed Sarah and even though I am Sarah's nanny I think she thinks the publicist is her nanny. She follows the publicist around and maaaaas at her. She cuddles up to her when the publicist is around and gets upset when the publicist leaves.
It's rather cute.
The publicist was trying to get pictures of Sarah but she just wanted get close.
So close she fogged up the camera lens!
Silly Sarah!
The publicist didn't care 'cause she loves Sarah too.
She thought the pictures were pretty funny and thought you would too.
Nothing like a little chuckle on a Saturday morning.
Sarah is, indeed, ready for her close up!
I have exciting news! My friend Cheryl is giving away my rich soap on her blog, Books Products and More! You can go HERE to enter. Three lucky winners will win one bar of my soap. How cool is that? So go and check it out.

AbbyDay - I Share Mallory's Story of Her Life Here at the Happy Goats Farm
It's AbbyDay and therefore it's the best day of the week.
TodayI'm forced I'm delighted to tell you all about Mallory and her time here on the Farm.
She came to us in April of 2009 and we were glad to have a new goat on the Farm. In fact it was an AbbyDay when when she was introduced so I guess it's only fitting that it should be an AbbyDay when we say our final goodbyes.
She was a curious goat and sometimes, yes a bullygoat. But she did keep us on our hooves if not on our spools.
She brought very cute kids to the Farm including Matthew.
Marion - who is still here.
And of course little Kringle who went with her to the new Farm.
She and Kringle went off in the male person's truck to her new Farm and the male person said she looked very happy there. There is lots of land and other goats for her and Kringle to get to know.
Now there is more grain for me.
Bwahahaha!

Goodbye Mallory and Kringle....We Will Miss You
So Mallory and Kringle are off to their new Farm.
The publicist is very sad. It is always hard for her when she had to make these decisions.
She knows that they will have fun on their new Farm but little Kringle wasn't here very long and he was just getting to the fun stage. She found him doing this yesterday.
Yup, you are right!
He was "surfin' Montana style" on his nanny's back.
He still needs some practice.
It reminded me (and the publicist) of my Kevin and we both had a sniff.
Oh well, on to my goodbyes to my pen mates.
I know that Mallory and I have not always gotten along.
She had her moments of being a bully goat but I am a gracious goat.
I went to her and gave her a rub goodbye.
I will miss her, sort of.
I think she will miss me....
I wanted her to know that I wish her and little Kringle well at their new Farm.
I will miss watching little Kringle grow up; it has been fun to have a kid this time of year.
I have told you all that.
Now I will just have to look forward to Abby and Sarah's kids - my grandkids.
So fare well, Mallory
and Kringle.
Fare well.
Know that we enjoyed having you here and we will think of you now and again.
Tomorrow Abby will have a retrospective of Mallory's stay at the Farm.

Wordless Wednesday Almost - Milking FAIL
Every so often Abby does not behave on the milking stand.
This results in her kicking things.
Things like the publicist.
Things like the milk pot.
Then the publicist has to move fast to save the milk.
It was a very full milk pot.
It was a VERY cold day.
It was a very unhappy publicist.

Kringle Explores the Doe Pen
As I mentioned yesterday, little Kringle won't be with us much longer so I thought you might enjoy some photos of him exploring the doe pen.
I must admit I am going to miss the little guy; it's been fun to have a kid this time of year.
He is in that hopping stage so if he sees something of interest he must of course check it out from all well, levels.
He has lately taken notice of the water bucket holder.
He loves to jump on top of it.
I guess he feels bigger. That or it just smells good. I don't know which.
Sometimes though, he falls in!
With the snow on the ground he comes up with snow all over his little face.
How cute!
I think we will all miss his antics.
But we will have new kids in April so we will have to look forward to that.
Maybe I can watch Brewster over in the buck pen.

Herd News!
I have some news about the herd.
Mallory and little Kringle will be leaving us.
We are sad of course, but happy that they have found a good home.
They will be going to their new Farm on Thursday.
It was a little sooner than the publicist expected and she will miss watching little Kringle grow up.
He is still trying to hop on his nanny.
This is such a cute stage with kids.
He even tries to hop on his sister, Marion.
It always makes her smile.
She will miss Mallory, even if Mallory was a bully goat now and then.
But she is happy that Mallory's new publicist wanted to take Kringle too.
She will get to live with lots of other goats on a great big Farm.
There were just too many goats on our little Farm.
I will have a proper send off for Mallory and Kringle on Thursday.

Silly Sunday - The Many Faces of Pricilla
I was in a silly mood the day the sun came out.
It was because I was so happy.
The publicist took lots of photos of me being silly.
I hope you like them and I hope they make you smile.
I had fun being a silly goat. And I will tell you a secret.....
...the publicist gave me some extra grain!!!!

Nora the Goat Wants to Say Maaaaa!
Nora the goat maaaed at me that she has not had a chance to maaaa at you for a while.
She wanted to let you know that she is doing just fine.
She is the quiet goat on the Farm.
Sometimes I must admit I forget she is here.
That is not nice of me.
She usually just stands around not bothering anygoat.
She does look quite a bit like her nanny, Abby.
(I should not hold this against her.)
She is a little bad tempered to the publicist but she is getting better.
The day the sun came out she actually got pretty close to her.
Look at this photo....
She almost took a munch out of the camera!
But she did not.
She just wanted to give it a sniff.
Then she turned away...
and went back to the hay feeder.
She just wanted to maaaa hello to you.

AbbyDay - I Gleam in the Sun
It's AbbyDay and I am very glad of it!
Pricilla was not the only happy goat around here when the sun came out.
I was very happy too.
When the sun glints on my fur I am the prettiest goat for miles.
I went over to the hay feeder to show off my beauty to its best advantage.
Just look at how my fur shines!
No goat can compare on this Farm or any other Farm!
I also enjoyed munching on the delicious hay.
Mmmmm, hay.
I had gotten a pedicure so my hooves were quite lovely as well.
It is nice to be Queen.
OK - that is enough attention. I want to be left alone now to eat my hay and bask in my beauty.
Bye for this week.
I'll be back next week for another AbbyDay - the best day of the week!

The Sun! The Sun! We All Saw the Sun!
We were such Happy Goats yesterday!
Why you ask?
The SUN came out!
The sun! We have not seen the sun in WEEKS.
We did also wake up to new snow on the ground but I did not even mind because the SUN was out. It was beautiful. It was bright. It was yellow. It was THE SUN!!
Can you tell I was just a little bit excited?
I did my favorite thing to do in the sun.
I basked.
I basked ALL DAY LONG.
I basked in my favorite basking place.
I did not share it either.
I know that might sound mean but I am an old goat and I think the other goats knew I needed my time in the sun.
I even fell asleep.
I am embarrassed the publicist took this photo.
It's like when you humans drool in your sleep.
Please excuse me while I try and butt her.
