AbbyDay - I Give Kringle an Idea

It's AbbyDay! I am here to tell you that it is about time that the focus on this Farm returned to where it belongs.
To ME!

Therefore I am showing something to little Kringle.
There is a gap at the gate.

It's not big enough for a big goat to fit through.

But it is big enough for a little goat to fit through.
Do you think he will go?
Bwahahahaha!

Then it will be back to a Farm without a cute kid.
It can be all Abby, all the time!

Escape little Kringle, escape!
The whole wide world awaits.

But if I know the publicist she will notice and just bring him back.
Drat!
What can I do next?

I do want to wish all of you humans out there a Happy New Year. Pricilla will be taking tomorrow off from blogging because she is old and lazy it is a holiday. She will be back on Sunday with a new post for the New Year.

Kringle Discovers the Water Bucket

Today I show you the very first video of little Kringle.
In it he discovers the water bucket.
Exciting stuff, huh?

Just look at that tail wagging!
Kids are cute, no denying that.
No matter what they are doing.

How is Brewster Doing?

Before Kringle joined the world little Brewster had been moved into the buck pen.
If you recall, he was NOT a happy goat.
A little time has passed now - so how do you think Brewster is doing?

Well, for the most part Brewster and Luke are getting along just fine.
Luke minds his business and Brewster does his thing.

Which is mostly eat.
Brewster likes to eat.
But he IS a growing buck.

There was one bad altercation. It was good the publicist was there.
Luke was doing the goat stomp at Brewster.
He had Brewster in the corner and he must have butt him pretty good.
He somehow got Brewster's head stuck under his horn.

When the publicist saw them all she saw was Brewster's little legs pointed straight up in the air. She was very upset. She had to push his little head out from between Luke's horn and the side of Luke's head. It wasn't easy. She was afraid of hurting Brewster.  When she was done Brewster just ran over to the hay pile and started eating again.

This photo is NOT from that event. The publicist was too upset to be taking pictures.

She guessed he was OK.
From that point on Brewster has just given Luke a wide berth.
But the publicist watches Luke VERY closely.

She does not want anything to happen to little Brewster.

Kringle Spends the Day Outside!

I hope you all had a very nice weekend.
I know I did.
It was full of rest and apples and SUNSHINE.

Yes, you read that correctly.
We had some sun.
It was so nice to see.

Since the sun came out the publicist decided that little Kringle should spend the day outside.
It was still chilly so he kept his little coat on.
He is a smart little kid.
The first thing he did was go to my favorite basking spot and sit down.

Hmmm, now I could not bask.
But I guess it was in a good cause.
Mallory and I looked out for little Kringle.
You know how I like to protect the new kids.

Mallory kept a good eye on him.
She is also licking him up a storm.

New nannies want to make sure they keep their kids clean!

Kringle is even starting to nibble some hay.

But most of all he like to nap.

There isn't much better than napping in the sun, is there?
Kringle enjoyed his day out in the doe pen but he was also happy to get back to the barn and to his heat lamp.

There will be lots of pictures of the new kid on the Farm this week plus an update as to how Brewster is faring in the buck pen.

I hope all you humans had a wonderful Christmas.
We goats were treated quite well.
We had apples all weekend long!
The publicist and the male person said we deserved them because we are such good goats.

Smart humans, they.

A Christmas Message from The Happy Goats

We wish you a Maaa-y Christmas

We wish you a Maaa-y Christmas

We wish you a Maaa-y Christmas

and a Happy New Year!

All of us here at the Happy Goats Farm would like to wish all of you a very Maaa-y Christmas. We hope you all have a very peaceful day with your families. Eat some grain and apples and enjoy a good burp.

I will return to my blogging on Monday, December 27th. The publicist says I deserve a small vacation for all of my hard work. I hope she gives me some apples too.

So I leave you with a photo of Kringle the goat, in his Christmas red goat coat, out in the snow...

Maaa-y Christmas to all and to all a good night!

Mallory is a Very Proud Nanny.

I can't say that I blame her.
Little Kringle is a very cute little kid.

His markings are beautiful.

The publicist keeps cooing over how cute he is.
It is getting old.
I mean the rest of us are cute too!

I know, I know kids are cuter than old goats.
But really. Enough of the cooing.

I better not hear any cooing going on out there in cyberspace!

Mallory can coo or maaaa as the case may be.

She has every right to be proud.
SHE did all the hard work after all!

Meet Kringle!

I am very pleased to introduce you to Kringle!
Mallory's new kid.

Isn't he cute?
He has her markings; the lines on his face and the white "boots"
As I mentioned it was too dark when he was born for the publicist to get photos.
There will be more tomorrow.

The male person brought home a heat lamp to help keep him warm.
Isn't the male person wonderful?

Wonderful Wednesday

I am here to tell you that Mallory had her kid last night!
It was late so there are no pictures....yet.
The publicist said she would put some up later today.
It was too dark in the barn when the new little

BUCKLING

was born so she could not take any.
He and Mallory are doing just fine.

He is stylin' in his new goat coat thanks to Texan.
It is helping to keep him warm since it is still quite chilly in these parts.
He is VERY cute.

I don't know his name yet.
The publicist will tell you when she shows you his photo.
What a nice Christmas present for all of us on the Farm!

Today I am a ReviewGoat: Waechsterbach Dinnerware from CSNStores.com

The publicist told me she had a surprise for me today.
She told me I was going to work but that I was not going to find it too much of a strain.

She was right!
I am a ReviewGoat today and I get to tell you all about Waechsterbach Dinnerware that she got from CSNStores.com.
(If you ask me that name sounds like when Abby has something caught in her throat.)

These plates reminded me of when I was a young doe.
When I still caught the eyes of the bucks.
When they took me out to fancy dinners.
Especially the last time I went to the Goat Ritz.

Aaaaah THOSE were the days.....

But I digress.
The publicist brought me over and I saw this!

I was amazed. I immediately apologized to the publicist for being erm, a bit difficult about working today.

What a meal, just like my memories. Oh how I wish....
Nevermind.

I dug right into those apples and carrots.

Boy did they taste good.
And they looked so pretty on that beautiful Kiwi salad plate.

Next I tried the grain.

Mmmmm, grain

It would not be a gourmet goat meal without grain now, would it?
The Orange Peel cereal bowl showed off the grain to perfection.
(burp)

The final course - Frasier fir!

I am a fir connoisseur.

Now THAT was a treat. I haven't had some good tree in a long, long time.

It just tastes so good and leaves me with piney fresh breath.
The Cherry dinner plate made those branches look soooooo appetizing.

Yum, yum!

I can tell you I was one Happy (and full) Goat.

I will also tell you that the publicist brought apples to all of the other goats on the Farm so we ALL got a nice treat today. I was the only one who got to eat on the very nice dinnerware though; the publicist doesn't really trust that the other goats wouldn't erm, stampede on her new dishes.

I can tell you that it was very nice. I really liked the colors. They were very rich and shiny. There is also a Lemon Peel mug in the set but since I drink from a bucket I didn't get to try that.

You can see how the publicist used the dishes to set her table HERE.

The publicist told me that these new dishes came from CSNStores.com
(They still do not carry grain. They need to work on this. I WANT GRAIN. I WANT GRAIN)  She said that they arrived very quickly and were very well packed. I am glad for her. She also tells me I will never see them again. So there go all my dreams of living like I am at the Goat Ritz. I will never be romanced again....so is the life of an old goat.

At least I got apples this time.

Disclosure:  The publicist received a gift card to buy HERSELF something from CSNStores.com. She then makes me work. Harumph! I like being a ReviewGoat because I get treats but I think she should buy something for ME. Any opinions you see are her interpretations of my maaaaas. She knows me well enough by now to know what I am maaaing about.

The Publicist Says, "Thank You!"

The publicist wanted to use the blog today.
I was surprised!
She has her own blog; why did she need to use mine?

Well, I am a nice goat so I told her she could do whatever she wanted on my blog - as long as it was family friendly. I did not want anything bad on my blog!

She just looked at me like like was crazy.
She does that a lot.
I don't know why...

It seems she received a package in the mail.
She does not know who sent it!
I wanted to help her by eating the box to see if it would give any clues but she gave me that look again.
ah-hem

In the box was a very cute stuffed cat.
We all know how much the publicist likes cats.
(Personally I think she should stick to goats but that is not my call.)

She likes it very much...

The tag says, "Mreow! Mreow! I'm an animal rescuer too....Just like Diego and YOU!"

She would like to thank whomever sent it to her. It gave her a great big smile when she opened it. (I like when she smiles.)
There was no card in the box.

She is keeping it by the computer so she can look at it every day.
She says she is putting it high enough so I can't give it a nibble.
Harumph!
As if!

Silly Sunday

Sherpa is one cool cat...

Literally!

I guess he wants to make sure the milk is fresh.
Harumph!
As if we goats would give bad milk.

Is it Spring Yet?

The publicist has told me I have to stop asking this since it isn't even winter yet.
WHAT?!
How can it not be winter with all this cold weather and snow?
The publicist says that winter doesn't arrive until next week.
Harumph I say to this. HARUMPH!

I think I should be an island goat.

And just look at this!
Marion the goat has taken my favorite basking spot.

Can you believe your eyes?!
When the publicist came out to check on us I went running to her.

I wanted to talk to her about this.
It is MY basking spot.
I explained it to her very nicely.

She told me that Marion is still a young goat and will learn her place and for me to be patient.

PATIENT!
I gave the publicist my best goat stare of death.

I don't think she was impressed.
Not when Marion the goat gives her a smile.

I wish I were a young goat again.
Harumph!

AbbyDay - The Publicist Visits the Horses Across the Street

It's AbbyDay and I get to tell you about the publicist's walk.
ME!
Not Pricilla.
So there.

On the day it snowed she looked across the street and saw the horses frolicking.
She thought she would try and get some pictures of them playing in the snow but by the time she walked over there this is what they were doing.

They stopped playing!
They did decide that the publicist was not going to hurt them though and Dusty the horse decided to come over and say hello.

Dusty like to have his head scratched.

Hey! I like to have MY head scratched!
After a while the other horse decided to come over and say hello too.

Dusty was not too happy about this.
I think Dusty wanted all of the publicist's attention for himself.
I can't say I blame him for this. I like all the publicist's attention too.

Then a THIRD horse came over to say neigh.

The publicist was very happy because she really likes horses.
NOT as much as she likes goats, though.
I am sure of that!

The horses are pretty and as she left they all stood by the fence wishing she would stay.

We goats do the same thing to her.
It makes her sad. She wants to stay but she has things that have to get done.
The horses soon went back to doing whatever it is that horses do.

Now I, Abby get to announce the winner of the Christmas soap giveaway!
The publicist knows I am smart and can do this right.
Pricilla and I both thank everyone that comes and reads our blog everyday. We really appreciate it. We work hard to make a nice blog for you.

The winner is:  Millie!!!!! Millie can go go to the shop and pick three soaps of her choice.
I decided that since it is AbbyDay I was going to pick another winner to win one bar of rich soap. That winner is:  Pam!!!! Pam can go to the shop and pick one bar of her choice.

Yay for winners! And thank you to everyone who entered. I wish I could send everyone my rich soap but the publicist would banish me to the barn forever!
