OH SNOW!

Does my studmuffin look like Frosty the SnowGoat?
Bwamaaaahahahaha!
I think he does.

He was not so very happy about the change in weather.
None of us were really.
We much prefer it dry.

I hid in my goathouse.
I am no fool.
Can you even see me?
I am in there. I promise!

Those other goats were crazy.
They waited outside for the publicist.
She was getting the barn ready.
But if you ask me, why wait out in the cold snow if you have a dry goathouse?

Nora the goat seems to have learned this lesson early.
I have great hopes for her.
She is showing signs of being as smart as her great grandnanny.

Unlike a certain AbbyGoat.
Who ended up with a white coat.
Silly AbbyGoat!

Bernadette? Bernadette? Be CAREFUL!

As I maaaa-ntioned the other day little Bernadette almost got lost in all of the snow!
She was not smart and did not stay in the paths that the male person made for us.
Silly Bernadette!

If you cannot see the movie you can watch it on YouTube HERE

Did you see that?
She almost got swallowed up by the snow!
It is as high as she is!

And guess what?
WE GOT MORE SNOW!

EIGHT more inches.
The male person had to dig out our pathways again.
And guess what again?
It's supposed to snow again Monday.

I might never come out of my barn again.
Do you blame me?

Farm Cat Friday - Harry the SNOW Cat?

It has been snowing for the last two days.
We goats spent a bit of time out yesterday but we were again mostly in our barn.

Harry the Farm cat on the other hoof was out in the snow!

Should he be called Harry the SNOW cat?
He seemed to be having some fun.
He ran this way.

He ran that way!
It could be because the publicist *might* have thrown a snowball at him.
I'm not maaaing.

After all that running around he decided it was time to go into the nice, warm yurt.
I can't maaaa I blame him!

What's this?
Is he being FOLLOWED?

Do those chickens think that they will be allowed into the yurt?
I am pretty sure I heard the publicist mumble, "ain't no way that's gonna happen. Stupid birds."

Harry stepped up his pace 'cause he didn't want to be pecked.
Those chickens can be VICIOUS!

Up,up, UP!
Yay, almost to warm!

Hey! Let me in!
I want in!

What's taking so long!
I WANT IN!

Whew, that's better.
It's exhausting being out in all that snow.

Time for some serious nappin'!

I would maaa that Harry is NOT a snow cat.
How about you?

You can now read my interview with Famous Author Melissa Guion! After you have done so be sure to enter to win my rich soap. And you can enter to win Melissa's very excellent book on the publicist's blog!

AbbyDay - Snow? No Snow Will Stop AbbyGoat!

It's AbbyDay, the best day of the week. And this post is written by the best goat in the world.
But you know that.

You all know by now that we had a bit of snow fall around the Farm.
Those silly boys were afraid of the snow.
Silly kids!
I am AbbyGoat - I am not afraid of anything!

In fact, I went into the garden in the snow and had me some frozen snacks!

Have you ever enjoyed frozen kale?
You should - it's very tasty!
I nibbled through my appetizer and then went on to the entree.

Cauliflower leaves!
They were extra crunchy - just the way I like them.

How about you? Do you like cauliflower leaves?
I highly recommend them!

After my main course it was time for dessert.
The garden is a wonderful place for a goat.
What did I find for my sweet ending?

CORN!
There is nothing better than corn stalks.
Usually the male person has them down by now but lucky for me they were still standing.

Mmmm, corn!
Those corn stalks made for a delicious end to my meal in the garden.
But truth be told I really didn't want to leave.

I begged the publicist to let me stay in there.
But she said no.

Bummer.
I turned to leave with a snack still in my mouth.
It was a good visit though.
I hope I can go back again!

Pleeeeeeeaaaaaase, publicist.
All of that yummy food for the eating.
May I go back again?

Bernadette Did NOT Like the Snow

You all saw on Tuesday how those noisy boys did not know what to make of the white stuff on the ground.
What I did not show to you was how little Bernadette reacted to the snow.

She was not sure about this change to her world.
She had never seen snow either and she was one confused little goat.
Her nanny ran down to the goat pen just like she normally does - Louise knows all about snow.
But to Bernadette her whole world had changed overnight!

She was not sure about this white stuff AT ALL!

If you cannot see the movie you can watch it on YouTube HERE

She found her nanny and then all was right with her world.
Isn't that the way of it?

She has now adjusted.
I just hope the next snow isn't higher than Bernadette!

AbbyDay - The Mouse Soap Has a Name!

It's AbbyDay, the best day of the week brought to you by the best goat. Period.

I would like to thank all of you for putting forth your ideas for naming the new mouse soap in my Pricilla's soap shop. There were three choices and their number of votes:

Pipsqueak (6)
Squeak (8)
Millie (1)

Then the goats got to vote and the winner is:

MILLIE!!!!!!

I know I did not mention anything about the goats voting but I am AbbyGoat, I can change the rules. Since I DID change the rules I am going to make the publicist send a mousie soap to each of the three finalists. She will send them an email. I thank Millie the Goat for suggesting Millie the Mouse.

Now on to other Farm news.

It snowed yesterday.
The kids were NOT happy.
Remember, they have never seen snow before.
It was actually pretty funny.

If you cannot see the movie you can watch it on YouTube HERE

The publicist put this on her Facebook page yesterday but not everyone sees her page so I thought I would share it here because it made all of us older goats maaaa with laughter.

Silly kids!

Keith REALLY Didn't Like the Snow

While the surprise snow we had is all gone I still have stories to tell about it. Today I am going to maaaa at you about little Keith. He was NOT a happy goat. Not at all.

None of us were happy to see the snow.
We adult goats have shed most of our winter underfur.
The little ones had never seen this snow stuff before.

Little Keith ran and jumped in the hay pile

I can't say as I blame him.
It is warm and dry in the hay pile.

The publicist told him to come down.
She said that every other goat was already at the goat pens.

It took some doing but he finally agreed.

He was not happy about it though.
He thought this snow stuff was COLD.

He did not want to touch it.
AT ALL.

He ran across the barn pad but he then encountered a bigger problem.
"You expect me to run in all of that SNOW?" he maaaaed

"Yes," the publicist answered, "I do."

Oh noes!
Poor little Keith.
NOT!

Grow a set buddy
Oh, that is right. He is a wether now.
Ooopsie!

He finally, cautiously, stepped down.

A little further Keith.

See, it's not so bad!
Uhm, is that the Goat Stare of Death?

AbbyDay - Even I Am Whining About the Weather

It's AbbyDay, the best day of the week. If it were up to me I would have the power to change the weather.
But I don't.
Bummer.

It is C.O.L.D.
Brrrrrrr!
And it is snowing.
AGAIN.
I, AbbyGoat and quite tired of this.

As you can see the barn door is closed and there are no goats in the pen.
That is because we are all shut up, nice and dry in that barn.
I can't say we are warm and toasty because it's FREEZING in these parts.

Although we goats do produce just a BIT of erm, gas.

What I would really like to see is this

Get working on it, will you?!
AND I MEAN NOW!

NOW!

It's Farm Cat Friday and today I get to show you that I am not the only animal on this Farm that does not like the snow. Sherpa the Farm cat does not like it either. If you ask me that just goes to show what a smart cat he is.

But I will never admit that I maaaaed that a cat was smart.
Just watch this movie....

If you cannot see the movie you can see it on YouTube HERE

Isn't he a silly kitty?
I can't say I blame him.
I do not like the snow either.

The New Kids See Snow for the First Time

We old goats know enough to not like snow.
But old goats forget that not all of the goats on the Farm have seen snow.
Somegoats are still young goats.

Take Thelma and Louise for example...
They were only born this summer so they have no idea what that white stuff is.

They were a little surprised when they came out of the barn.
They seem to be maaaaing, "WHAT is that stuff?!"

Thelma decided to give it a taste.

Not too smart Thelma!
Snow is not goat food.

They got to the end of the barn pad, still not so sure...

Louise seems to be thinking, "Where is my Farm? Why is it white?"

They slowly made their way off the pad, sniffing the snow as they moved.

But they finally moved along and went to the doe pen.
And then there was Buster Brown!
He had never seen snow either!

He was quite surprised too.
He looked hither

and he looked yon trying to figure out what was going on!

He hopped down but he was moving very cautiously.

But he too, finally got himself to his pen.
Where he found a big surprise!
You will have to come back on Saturday to find out what it was.

Oh, and somecats were not happy with the snow either.
