We did.
We were bad goats.
But we were tired of just being in our goat pen.
We wanted some ADVENTURE.
We wanted some FIBER.
We headed for the wood pile!
Mmmmm, bark.
We loves us some bark.
Especially those of us with kids on the way.
Even Louise wanted some yummy wood.
There are no dumb goats to be found on this Farm!
Thelma is practicing to have super fast lips just like her nanny!

Well, do you see the chicken house behind Louise?
The chicken house that has fallen down into a crumbled heap?
I am no dumb goat!
I am behind that chicken house looking for any GRAIN that might have fallen out.

PS - no chickens were hurt in the big collapse. The male person knew it was going to happen so he moved all the chickens in that house to the big chicken house in our pen.
The VERY NEXT DAY the chicken house went BOOM!

You will recall that I was a bit...disappointed that the male person did not build me a goat palace.
I was a bit....shocked that he built a new chicken house.
Pfffft!
I decided I needed a spygoat to check out the inside of it to make sure the male person was not hiding something from me.
I sent in my kid, Flash the goat!
That little door is just his size!
He maaaed to his brother Jim to come help.
First they reconnoitered the entry.
They are smart kids!
Then they started to climb the ramp.
Flash was making sure it was sturdy.
He did not want it to fall on Sarah the goat.
Then he looked in!
What did he see?
CHICKENS!
Lots and lots of chickens.
So I guess the male person is not trying to hide something from me.
I still think he should have built me a goat palace.
He is feeling a little bit better. His fever is gone. He thanks everyone for sending along the positive thoughts. So far the publicist has not caught the flu. Keep your hooves crossed!

Today I promised you a tour of my goat palace.
The male person has been lazy and my golden roof is not in place.
He gave me all kinds of excuses like, it's been raining, and I had to plant the garden.
Blah, blah, blah.
MY goat palace should come before ANYTHING.
Don't you think?
Many of you asked about the little door.
It is quite unusual I know.
My guess it is so I can kick little Flash out when he annoys me.
I find that to be a fine idea.
Flash is getting big and there will be times when I just want to laze around all by myself.
Now I will take you inside by the BIG door.

How can MY goat palace be a chicken house?!

I am going to complain to the male person.
He is going to get butt and get butt but good!

Winter is coming - did I just type that? Brrrrr! - and the male person has built a new chicken house for the chickens. This one has nesting boxes for the hens so they can start laying their eggs. The publicist was very excited yesterday when she came out to check our water and found an egg just lying on the ground! The chickens haven't figured out to lay their eggs in the nest boxes yet...but they will. This is the very first egg from the Happy Goats Farm:
The new house is built so that the chickens have a nice roost and it has lots of ways to get light in for the chickens. It also has a nice little door with a ladder for the chickens to climb.
It also has grain. What is a goat to do but check it out? Mallory gave it a good once over. I am not sure the chickens were happy about this.
Abby checked it out too.
Now of course you would NEVER see me doing something as undignified as eating out of a chicken house!
erm, burp.
What can I say, grain is good! The publicist keeps yelling at us to stop eating the chicken's grain. We aren't THAT greedy....
I think it is going to be very interesting when the kids discover the ladder and start climbing it. Hahahahahaha!
