First Time Treet-ters

We only get Tree-t once a year.
I do not think this is fair but it is what it is.
The publicist says that she only gets a Christmas Tree once a year.
So I guess it makes sense that we therefore only get Tree-t once.
But I am still bummed.

Tree-t is tasty.

This was the first time those rotten little kids had gotten to taste Tree-t.
Did they stay and eat the Tree-t in their pen?

Of course not!
They came and ate my Tree-t!

Needless to maaaa they found it quite yummy.
And they kept eating it!
Not to mention eating my GRAIN as well.
Harumph!

Don't get me wrong.
I am glad they are growing big and strong.
They are my great grandkids.

But they are very......active.
They like to climb on me.
I am an old goat.
This is why the publicist has put in my very own special pen.

When those three are over here "visiting" it's enough to drive a goat.....

Right into her goathouse for a little bit of peace and quiet.
It's nice the publicist gives me a pile of hay in there.
Those little piggies kids eat my hay too!

So, Did you Have a Good Holiday?

We certainly enjoyed ours.
It rained all day on Christmas Eve.
We spent the day in the barn.

Harry the Farm cat spent the day sleeping.
I can't say I blame him.

But I guess the big question is, did we have a White Christmas?
Well,.....

.....sort of.
There was maybe an inch of snow on the ground.
I am not sure this counts as an OFFICIAL White Christmas.

But it was enough for me to be a snowgoat!
At least for a little while.
The snow was all gone by the afternoon but the publicist tells me that very cold weather is coming.

It was a very nice Christmas day.
Sherpa had fun.
But then Sherpa always has fun.

He played with wrapping paper.

And he played in boxes.
He could not have been happier.

We did get apples!
They were very tasty.
The kids have learned that.

It will never be the same around here again.
They are VERY greedy.

We all hope you had as nice a day as we did.

Christmaaaaa Carol: We Three Kids

We three kids of Happy Goats Farm
Seeing something we run afar
Field and food bin, log and hay pile
Maaaaaing at things with fur.

Maaaaa, we wander. Maaaaaa, we fight!
We visit our elders when we might.
Publicist feeding, always leading
'Til she yells at us not to bite!*

If you can't see the movie you can watch it on YouTube HERE

ps:  Did you see me hiding in my goat house?

*with all due respect to John Henry Hopkins

I Can't Win

You saw yesterday I was a Happy Goat,
I had my food bin back to myself.
But it did not last long.

*sigh*
It seems I am doomed to share my grain.
At least I am related to these two.

Hey publicist?
Why can't you control these beasts?

ps: When the publicist came out to set up my pen for me today she turned over my feed bin and out ran a hen! It scared her half to death. The stupid bird got herself trapped under it somehow.
I'm not maaaaing. Bwahahahahaha

The Kid Report

Harley and Nick the goats play together every day.
It's very cute.
It's something this old goat likes to watch.

The leap and hop and run and jump.
They butt heads.
It reminds me of when I was young and fancy free.

It also does my little goat heart good to see Harley just being a kid.
We were all so worried about him and now it's like nothing was ever wrong.
He will grow up to be a strong little wether.

He is even showing signs of being BIGGER than Nick!
He is, after all, a week older and he is a single where Nick is a twin.
The publicist has the three little kids in one pen at night now so they keep each other warm in the bitter cold weather. She says they make a kid pile with Nora on the bottom. Isn't that cute?

Obviously Nora is not suffering from this.
I think those boys are doing a good job of keeping her warm.
Warm is good.

Hey Nick! Hey Nick? What's That?

The little ones were out - they escaped I might add - exploring.
They came upon something familiar yet not.

Nora maaaaed, "Nick what is it?"
It looks like us - it's black and white.
But it doesn't smell like a goat.

What do you think it is?
Where is it going?

What do you think Nick?
What do you think?
It doesn't seem bothered by us.

Hey! It eats grass too.
Maybe it's some kind of exotic goat.
Some kind we don't know about.

But it doesn't have horns...
I'm very confused.
Will somegoat maaaa to me what this is?

Hey, Make Room for Me

Nick and Nora were eating some grain.
They - and Harley - are the first goats on the Farm to grow up entirely on organic grain!
They do enjoy it.

Then their nanny decided she wanted some too.
As if she hadn't already eaten her cupful already!
Piggie Thelma!

She squashed poor Nora right out of the bin!
How could a nanny do this to her kid?

But Nora was not going to be deterred!
She was going to eat her grain.
Finally somegoat gave up and went to greener pastures.

Leaving the does to enjoy the grain.
Smart boy.

Breakfast with Dad

Is that Nick and Nora snacking with their daddy?
Isn't that nice?
Luke has been going a little rogue in the mornings so the publicist let him be.

He did not seem bothered by the kids.
He just went about his sniffing.

Even when little Nora challenged him!
Can you believe she did such a thing?
Luke just looked at her and then walked away.

Then the publicist told him he had to go back into his pen.
He did not like this.

In fact he let her know in no uncertain opinion.
LUKE!
That is NOT nice.

That is better.
A little.....

Is That HARLEY?

Could it be?
Is that little Harley in the mulch pile?

IT IS!
It's so nice to see him out and about and having fun.
He's starting to run, albeit a little wonkily.

His nanny still keeps a close eye on him.
She takes good care of him.
The publicist is happy he is doing so well.

Nick and Nora keep him on his little hooves.
That's for sure!
He's even starting to butt back!

Hooray for Harley!

Explorations

Hey, who is that?
Look at those horns.
He's BIG.
He smells.

He's my daddy?
REALLY?!
P.U.

But I guess he loves me.

Does he love me publicist?
Does he?

Of course my little one.
It's just his stinky time of year.

Why is that?
Why? Why?

You don't need to worry about it yet my little one.
Just enjoy being a kid.

WE FOUND IT!

We did!
We found the secret!
And if you are very, very nice to us we will let you know what it is!

You DO want to know what it is, don't you?
Or do you want us to keep it all to ourselves?
Bwamaaaahahahahaha!

We are a little afraid of that AbbyGoat.
You have seen her Goat Stare of Death, right?
Would you want that facing you?

I did not think so!
So we wanted to be sure that it was OK to share the secret.

So we asked Pricilla.
She is nice.
She does not Stare at us.
Even if we play around her hooves.

She maaaaed we could tell....the chickens?
WHAT?
How does telling the chickens get the info to all of you?

Pricilla maaaaed that once you tell a chicken a secret it is no longer a secret.
Those birds can't keep their beaks shut.
That way AbbyGoat would not be mad at us!
She is a very wise goat.

So what is the secret and why do the chickens have on their party hats again?

Do Nick and Nora Know Something?

PSSSST!
I know things.
It's true.

When AbbyGoat and Bernadette the goat were whispmaaaa -ring the other day I heard what they were maaaing.
I did.
They thought they looked out real good but they didn't see me. Or Nick

We were off to the side.
You can see how surprised I look.

Bernadette tried to act nonchalant.

AbbyGoat went about doing goat yoga.

BUT I KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON!

ps: AbbyGoat is not pregnant. She is retired.
