Farm Cat Friday: Christmeow Caroling with the Farm Cats

The Farm cats are not to be ignored when it comes to getting into the holiday spirit around the Farm.  They will be singing along with us Happy Goats. For their first carol they give you

O Christmeow Tree

(The publicist says the male person said that the Farm cats were a HUGE help in getting the Christmas tree in the yurt.)

O Christmeow tree! O Christmeow tree!
Thy limbs are just so tasty (to the goats)
O Christmeow tree! O Christmeow tree!
Thy limbs are just so tasty (to the goats)
So bright and green I watch over here
to keep the coast all goat clear
O Christmeow tree! O Christmeow tree!
Thy limbs are just so tasty (to the goats)

Note the orange tail at the far right....
O Christmeow tree! O Christmeow tree!
Much pleasure thou can give me
O Christmeow tree! O Christmeow tree!
Much pleasure thou can give me.
How often has the Christmeow tree
afforded me a drink beneath thee?
O Christmeow tree! O Christmeow tree!
Much pleasure thou can give me

O Christmeow tree! O Christmeow tree!
Thy lights shine so brightly
O Christmeow tree! O Christmeow tree!
I rearrange them nightly
From base to summit gay and bright
So much climbing, oh the height!
O Christmeow tree! O Christmeow tree!
Thy lights shine so brightly*

O Christmeow tree! O Christmeow tree!
How richly I have decked thee
O Christmeow tree! O Christmeow tree!
How richly I have decked thee
So now I can break the glass
and cause the publicist to ask
O Christmeow tree! O Christmeow tree!
Why do I have Farm cats in the yurt with me?*

Farm Cat Friday - Cat in a Bag, Part III

Oh that bag is bringing lots of fun to Farm cat Sherpa and Farm cat Harry.
They have been playing and playing.
Sherpa has spent time in it...

I wonder what he is thinking?
But it was not Sherpa who ended up in the bag after last week's battle.
Oh no!

It was Farm cat Harry!
But I am not sure he is in charge of the situation.
He might be in charge of Sherpa's paw, though.

Sherpa seems determined to win back the bag!
He is giving Harry the paw!
It is good that Harry is hiding in that bag.

Sherpa finally stood back a bit to give Harry some breathing room.
Whew!
What a battle!

It was epic!
It was dramatic!
It left the bag full of cat hair!

But the two Farm cats had fun.

They meowed over the bag and are still very much friends.
As it should be!

Farm Cat Friday - Cat in a Bag, Part II

You will recall that last week found Farm cat Sherpa resting comfortably in a bag.
Until Farm cat Harry came on the scene.

Nothing like Farm cat Harry to shake things up!
Sherpa did not take kindly to being interrupted.

Whoa!
Look at those teeth!
FIERCE!
If I were you I would RUN Farm cat Harry!

But did Harry run?
NO!
He is a tough Farm cat.

The two cats played together for quite a while enjoying the bag.
Then the bag was empty!

Ooooh, what would happen now?
Who would end up in the bag?
Come back next week and see!

Silly Sunday - What is Farm Cat Sherpa Thinking?

Silly Sherpa!
He was "helping" the publicist to take pictures.
I am not sure he was much help.

What Did the Farm Cats See?

I was minding my own business typing the blog when I heard an erm, disturbance in the main room of the yurt.
Being a good goat I rushed out to see what was going on.

This is what I saw.

The bigger question is WHAT DID THE FARM CATS SEE?
They sure were intent in their watching, weren't they?

Especially Sherpa.

They watched and watched and watched.

Even Pumpkin stirred himself from his usual sleeping to watch.

What do you think they saw?
I will show you tomorrow.

Bwahahahaha!

Did You Ever Feel Someone Was Watching You?

The publicist felt that way.
She did!
She told me so.

She was out taking more photos in the snow.
She was out walking around taking pictures like this one

And this one

And this one

And she had the feeling that she was being watched.
But she did not see anyone around so she was confused.
The feeling continued!

Then she looked up and saw this

Farm cat Sherpa!
Explains it all, doesn't it?

Silly Sunday

The Farm cats are silly.
There is no denying that.

Sherpa was playing on the sofa. He had something captured under the blanket.

What, oh what could it be?

He was trying hard to keep it from getting away.

HARRY!

As soon as he escaped Sherpa ran fast away.

Harry looked and soon followed.
Silly Farm cats!

Sometimes I Wonder About the Farm Cats

I really do.
For Farm cats they have a pretty easy life.
But they sleep in the strangest ways.

Take Stinky for instance...

What is up with this?
No self respecting goat would sleep this way!

And Sherpa.

He is resting on egg cartons!
That is very silly.

Everyone knows that egg cartons are for munching!

So, What WAS in the Bag?

Yesterday I showed you Farm kitten Harry hiding in a bag.
Farm cat Sherpa was telling him that the bag was not for Harry.

Was it for Sherpa perhaps?

Harry didn't think so!

The bag was not for Farm cats at all!
It was for CORN!
The male person filled it with the last of the corn harvest.
He brought it in to help the publicist shuck the corn.

Sherpa helped too.
A lot, apparently.

Sherpa then inspected the corn to make sure they were A-OK.

I told you what was in the bag would lead to a treat for us goats.
WE got the corn husks!
They were - burp - delicious!
