Is That For ME?!
REALLY?!
For ME?!
I must be a special goat.
The publicist loves me so much to give me very own baby ear of corn!
She did not give one to the other goats.
Just to ME!
It was so good!
The first corn of the season is always very sweet.
Don't you agree?
I took my time and savored my treat.
Mmmmmmm.
What bliss.
It does not get any better than this.
Unless you have another little ear of corn for me.
Do you?
I give you a big corn smile!
You don't.
Oh well, I thank you very much for this one.
It was DELICIOUS!
Buuuuuurp!

Where Was I When the Corn Came Out?
As I told you yesterday the publicist brought some tasty corn stalks into the goat pen.
But as she put the piles of stalks around she went looking for me.
She wanted to make sure I would have a nice pile all my own.
Isn't that nice of her?
But I wasn't in the goat pen!
Where was I?
I was in the mulch pile!
Why was I there instead of eating tasty corn?
Because there are APPLES in the mulch pile!
The publicist yelled at me to get back in the pen.
She said they were old apples.
She said they were "fermented."
She said I would get tipsy.
I didn't know what this meant.
I just wanted the APPLES.
APPLES. APPLES. APPLES.
I love APPLES.
Even more than corn stalks!
But the publicist made me go eat some corn.
I shared with Nora the goat who was very nice to me.
I ate some on my own.
Then I snuck back to the mulch pile.
APPLES!
The publicist found me again and said I needed appleholics anonymous.
Harumph! I told her.
Har(hic)umph!
Be sure to check out the giveaway on the publicist's blog!
She is giving away a Nanny Goats in Panties 2011 Calendar starring Luke the goat and Harry the goat! You can find all of the details HERE
Or if you really want one NOW you can click on the widget on the left side of my blog and get one for a 25% discount with the code "FALLCALENDAR"
I don't get anything for telling you about the calendar. I had hoped for some apples but after the publicist's appleholics comment I am not so sure. Tell her I deserve some OK?

CORN!!!!!!
Oh!
We are truly Happy Goats today.
Do you know why?
Well, if you read my title for the post you do....

CORN!!!!
Well, corn stalks anyway.
The male person cut them all down and let them dry and now WE get to eat them.
The publicist took lots of photos and I will tell you all about our fun over the next few days.
Wait until you see little Brewster as he gets his first taste of CORN!!!!!
But first I will show you my studmuffin because you know I love to show him off.
I don't care WHAT Abby might say or think he is MY studmuffin...
Harumph!
The publicist gave him a nice bunch of stalks.
He dove right in and started munching.
Isn't he just the most handsome goat you have ever seen.
I know I say this a lot but just LOOK at him!
I think he is really enjoying his treat.
Although he does look a little bit silly in this picture.
But that is OK, he is still the love of my life.
I wonder - do you humans like corn as much as we goats do?
Mmmmm, CORN!!!!!

So, What WAS in the Bag?
Yesterday I showed you Farm kitten Harry hiding in a bag.
Farm cat Sherpa was telling him that the bag was not for Harry.
Was it for Sherpa perhaps?
Harry didn't think so!
The bag was not for Farm cats at all!
It was for CORN!
The male person filled it with the last of the corn harvest.
He brought it in to help the publicist shuck the corn.
Sherpa helped too.
A lot, apparently.
Sherpa then inspected the corn to make sure they were A-OK.
I told you what was in the bag would lead to a treat for us goats.
WE got the corn husks!
They were - burp - delicious!

Luke Enjoys His Corn
As you read yesterday we were treated to some of the dried corn the male person had put aside for us. But it wasn't only us does that got to eat the yummy treat - my little studmuffin Luke was given some corn too.
As you can also see he had to contend with thieving chickens just like we did. If Luke put his head down to me like this I would run away.
But as soon as Luke was distracted that chicken stole some of his corn! Can you imagine?!
It's a good think eating corn put Luke in a good mood. He really likes these little treats.
Doesn't he look like one happy goat here? Hi my love!
He is one handsome corn eating buck!
I wonder what the publicist will bring out of the basement next.....
Tomorrow: Goatucation which for this week with be Chickucation.

A Sweet Summer Treat
Oooh, we were lucky goats today.
All thanks to the male person. He sure is good to us! Last summer when the corn harvest was ending he saved the ears of corn that weren't big enough or were only half covered in kernels and he dried them out in the warm summer sun. Then he put them away in the basement.
Well, today the publicist decided to give them to us. It was such a nice treat on a grey, muddy day. Mmmmm, corn! It was a bit of a goat and chicken riot when the publicist brought the treat into the goat pen.
I took my ear off to the side so I could eat it all by myself.
Well, I tried. Soon there was a crazy chicken trying to steal my corn! Harumph!
Jillian - as always - really got down to some serious munching.
Matthew and Mallory jumped up on the spools.
Abby never misses a treat! (You will see more of her corn crunching on AbbyDay)
I think Jillian looks silly in this picture, don't you? It looks like she has a corn cigar.
Of course the chickens never miss a snack. There is Blue Guy right in the middle.
More? More?
Oh no!
No more!
That was such a good treat!

AbbyDay - It's MY Corn
I am happy to report that AbbyDay is happening this week just when AbbyDay should be happening. So all is right with the goat world. At least on the Happy Goat Farm. I am very pleased to report that it has gotten much warmer around these parts in the last few days. I have to admit that while I don't mind the cold as much as old, fussy Pricilla, I think it was a bit early for 4*.
The publicist, as usual, has been giving us some tasty treats from the old, tired garden. She still won't let us run around in there. I don't understand why - the chickens are in there all the time. If they can go eat everything, why can't I? Aren't I as important as a chicken?
Well, anyway....the other day the publicist brought us some yummy corn stalks. I do love me some corn stalk. The dried corn leaves are yummy too. I enjoyed munching away on this treat as you can see.
That little Jeffrey tried to horn in my treat but I gave him a little (uh-hem) butt and he went a touch airborne and then went on his way. Hey! They were MY corn stalks!
I know Pricilla thinks she is the only one that has any claim on Luke the goat. HA! Little does she know! I have my eye on him too. He is a cutie pie. (Don't tell Pricilla, OK?)
But this is AbbyDay which is all about ME! So I will end with a photo of.....ME!
I think it shows off my horns very nicely.
I hope you enjoyed having AbbyDay when it should be. I know I did.
Tomorrow: Jeffrey puts his hooves down.

Luke, Luke, Luke - I Love Luke
I spend a lot of my time just staring at the love of my life, Luke the goat. I told the publicist that I didn't care what she wanted me to write about today I was going to dedicate my post to my hunk of handsome buck, Luke. We all got some some yummy corn stalks the other day and I just love the way my Luke eats his corn. I mean, look at him.
Isn't he just the studliest little guy?
And doesn't he enjoy his corn.....mmmmm, mmmmm, mmmm!
I wish I could have been in his pen to share it with him, but I have to wait until December.
Until then, I just have to watch....and keep Jillian away from him.
Here is a close up so you can all appreciate how adorable he is.
I hope you don't mind my going all lovey dovey today. But I just can't help myself.
Tomorrow: AbbyDay. It's Abby against the corn.

More Corn!
As you saw yesterday we goats were getting corny. Heh heh. I am a very punny goat. Heh heh again. Maybe I have been eating too many half-fermented apples. There were so many funny pictures I couldn't get them all in one blog post. I promised you the big bucks ( Oh, Luuuuuke - you big hunk of gorgeous goat, that means you) and I promised you chickens. Yes chickens! The chickens were trying to steal the corn husks away from us goats. Can you imagine such a thing? Harumph!
The big boys have been fighting a little bit lately so the publicist gave them their corn husks seperately. My hunk of corn husk eating love had his up on the top of the spool - I could stare at that boy all day long.
Michael had his on the ground.
Both boys really enjoyed their treat. I don't blame them. Corn husks are yummy!
But I am sure you really want to know about the chickens. We goats were happily eating our husks when a contingent of chickens came into the fray.
They actually tried to walk off with our husks! Harumph!
Look at Blue Guy - he must think he is a goat, taking our husks.
It's not like we goats EVER try to take the chicken's food. We NEVER go in their chicken tractor, do we? (erm)
I hope you enjoyed these further photos of our goat gluttony.
Here is some exciting news: my good friends over at The Daily Cute have teamed together with me and we are doing a giveaway! That is right - if you go visit this very cute blog you can enter to win THREE BARS of my rich soap. How cool is that? So why not head over there and check it out? What do you have to lose? If you ask me, nothing and you might gain a chuckle.
Tomorrow: Goatucation - The Daily Cute asks, " How long are goats pregnant for? When can we expect the next kid?!"
