You, I suspect will be as shocked as I was.
We were not allowed out of the barn today! Can you imagine?! I (and the other goats, of course but who cares about them on AbbyDay. It's my day so it's all about ME.) had to stay in my pen. Admittedly it was a bit warmer in the barn and I didn't have to share my hay with the other goats (PIGS) but still.
The publicist said it was for our own good. Pfffftttt! I just think she was lazy. Just because it is cold outside and perhaps there was some snow and stupid Matthew did jump on one of the little goathouses and fall right through the roof so we are now one goathouse short which would mean one of us would have been out in that freezing cold. Pffffttt I say again. I am sorry for that run on sentence but I am a mad goat.
We had better go out tomorrow, that is all I have to say. I butt my barn pen door so hard tonight the publicist had to get the male person in to fix it. I showed her! Well, I almost didn't get my grain so maybe that wasn't so smart.....
I will have to show you an old photo because the wimpy publicist won't take pictures in this cold weather. Stupid publicist. I look good no matter what the temperature. Here I am munching on the pine tree.
Stupid publicist! I don't care what she thinks. I am going to extend the sale on Pricilla's rich soap. It's 15% off to all of you great blog readers just for mentioning "blog" in the notes to seller. You could get yourself some Abby and Nora soaps. I highly recommend them. In fact the publicist has them in Lavender, Bing Cherry and Lemongrass but hasn't listed them yet (lazy woman). She doesn't have a lot of them so if you want them contact her fast. Aren't they pretty soaps?
I hope you all have a nice weekend.
Tomorrow: A broken goathouse

The Hill
As Abby told you yesterday there is a hill behind the male person's truck. We love to go up there and eat the weeds. The knapweed is in bloom now and it is especially tasty. Knapweed is considered a noxious weed here in Montana; it is choking out the life of our native plants. It is good that we goats love to eat it and destroy it.
I love to eat the little flowers - I will even stretch to grab one.
Wait, are there goats stealth grazing on the hill?

Mallory really concentrates on her grazing...nom, nom, nom.

Jillian seems to be showing Kevin the way. Isn't that nice?

Tomorrow I will show you how the little goats enjoyed the Hill!
Don't forget my soap sale! Just buy a Harry the CowGoat Soap and your entire order will be 15% off!!!
Stop on over to the publicist's blog - she is giving away a pair of earrings and a gift certificate to her jewelry shop!

A (Good) Day in the Life of the Publicist - Part II
So today I continue to regale you with how our beloved publicist spends her day. I and the other goats feel she should spend her whole day just tending to our needs but the publicist seems to think she has a life outside of the goat pen. Hmmmm, I am not so sure about this but we will see.
We left off yesterday after the publicist had put us in our pens in the morning. We then get to relax, munch on some tasty weeds and bask in the sun.
Aaaaah, it's a goat's life.
The first thing the publicist does then is have a nice cup of fresh ground coffee that the male person makes for her while she oversees me writing my blog. She is much happier after her coffee - but don't tell her I said that.

She had lots to do this day starting with all of this in from the garden

She already had a lot of zucchinis in her refrigerator so she shred some, she cut some up in discs to freeze and she made 6 loaves of zucchini bread. Most of them went in the freezer for later. I am sure you humans think this looks yummy but I would rather just have the zucchini!

The beans get blanched and frozen in bags. There are snow peas too but they are hidden under the beans. Same with the broccoli. The publicist doesn't have to buy any vegetables all winter long because of how much the male person's garden grows.

The publicist opens the gate and we all run up to the barn as fast as we can... (the boys went up first otherwise the picture would not be useable in a family blog)

Be sure to come back tomorrow for the last installment of A (Good) Day in the Life of the Publicist. I'll bet you know how it plays out....

Then she unmolded her cheddar cheese and put it out to dry. She already has a Colby curing and will be making lots more cheese thanks to the fact that she is babysitting some goats for the next week and a half and will be getting lots and lots of milk.
Then it was time to let us out for our mid-day graze and check our water. Michael said "hello" in his usual fashion. Silly Michael!
The publicist then went back in the trailer to finish working on her vegetables. And to label and package some of my rich soap. I have trouble with that part because of my hooves.
Then it was time for us to back into the barn. Yay!
Grain!
Apples!
Do we look excited, or what?!
