Hide and Seek with Harry

Even though my Kevin is only two months old and still up to kid tricks it is fun to have a tiny goat around the Farm again. It reminds me of when Kevin was first born and discovering all the places to play around here. Today Abby brought Harry into the big goat pen and he was running and hopping all over the place. There were lots of new structures for him to explore and lots of new things to sniff.

He spent most of his time around the big goat house. I can understand this; to a baby goat it must look absolutely HUGE. He was sniffing around the one side where the door pieces are kept.
Then he snuck under them. Where's Harry?

There he is!

Silly little goat.

Abby was looking for him and went over to check him out and make sure he was OK.

Such excitement for a little goat.

The publicist wanted you to see what she sees when she is trying to take photos for you.

Yup, the hopping goat. Hopping on her head. Hopping in front of the camera. Hopping, hopping hopping. He actually hopped on her today and knocked her over on her butt. Silly Kevin!

The Hopping Continues....

My hopping kid continues to hop. To hop, hop, hop. He has now gotten enough hop to land on the spools we goats have in our pens. Considering how small he is and how tall the spools are I consider this some serious hopping. I figure some day this kid is just going to hop to the moon!

I think he saw me up on the spool and he thought he was missing something so he just hopped right on up.

Of course once he was up there he couldn't leave me alone. A nanny gets no rest at all!
I think he wanted to Surf Montana Style on the spool!

He hops on one spool...

Then he hops to the other spool.

He's just a spool hoppin' fool!

Then he hops to the ground to start all over again.

Of course I so some hopping too.

I have to to keep up with him. Whew!

If there were kid Olympics I think he would win the gold medal for Spool Hopping! What do you think?

And So We Hop Some More....

Hop, hop, hop.

I perhaps should have named him Hoppy instead of Kevin. Hop, hop, hop. That is all the boy does. He hops on me. He hops on the publicist. If it is there, he hops on it. Yesterday he was hopping on the hay feeder in the goat house. He hopped right up and fell asleep in the hay.

Hop, hop, hop.

He has succeeded in hopping on top of me. He stands there on my back as if I am his horse. I am not a horse, I am a goat. The publicist hasn't gotten a great photo yet, but I am sure she will.

Hop, hop, hop.

Then there is the pile of plywood the male person has stacked against the barn. He is going to use it to build the chicken tractors. You guessed it; Kevin had to hop on it. Hop, hop, hop. It didn't matter that the stack was 4 feet high. Oh, no! That didn't stop my hoppin' kid! Up he hopped.

Down he hopped.

Up he hopped.

You get the picture.

He even dared Jillian and Mallory to hop up there. That did not go so well. They are much bigger goats.

See his little head there egging them on?

Now everyday when we either enter or exit the barn - hop, hop, hop.

I guess it is better than hopping on me.

Tomorrow you will get to learn what he was watching on this last hop up the plywood.

Hop, hop hop.

Now it is your turn to hop on the newsletter, heh heh. Remember, all who sign up through May 16th will be eligible to enter into the drawing for THREE BARS of my rich soap. That's something to hop about....
