AbbyDay - Am I a Surf Board?

I don't know what it is about kids!
We all know how much they like to hop.
Hop, hop, hop.
But why? WHY!? Why must they hop on ME?!

Do I look like a surf board?

Louise must think so!
But NO! I am a goat!
Pfffft!

She just kept hopping on me.

I guess this is the lot of a nanny.
She would fall off and then hop up again.

Silly Louise!
She even did a 180!

ON MY BACK!
What is up with that?!
She even pat my butt when she was done!

She is one fresh kid!
I don't know what I am going to do when Thelma starts hopping!

It's Not Ultimate SPOOL Supremacy...But It's Close!

As I showed you yesterday the kids are getting big and it won't be long until they are hopping and leaping all over the spools. They aren't there yet...but they are hopping on the new goat house in the pen.

Especially Emily.

She hopped up there yesterday and was having all kinds of fun!

She danced.

She leapt.

She jumped down.

And got up again.

I am sure she was having the time of her little life. And I know it won't be that long 'til she figures out she can get on the spools.

Uh - oh....who is that? Is Emily about to get bumped from the goat house?

Tomorrow:  See the battle

Hop on Prop

Kevin is a hopping kid. I am sure you remember this post where Kevin was trying to hop on ME. He has actually succeeded in hopping on me but the publicist hasn't gotten a photo of it yet. I don't know what he is trying to accomplish; whether he wants a ride or just to see what is going on. Any way the kid will hop on anything. One of our wonderful commenters suggested I write a book like the wonderful Dr. Seuss book Hop on Pop. I have decided Kevin's book should be Hop on Prop since he will hop on ANYTHING.

He will hop on hay

He will hop and play

He will hop on me

He will hop and flee

He will hop on a stump

He will hop on the trash dump

And just to show he has no sense
He will even hop on some fence!

I hope you enjoyed hopping with Kevin. I personally now have a headache from all that hopping. He is an active kid and growing up to be a nice buck.

I want to remind everyone that my Rooster in the Goat Pen Soap and The Chicks All Right with Pricilla Soaps are still on sale for blog readers. They are 20% for anyone who puts "blog" in the notes to seller. The publicist will either send you a new invoice or a refund, whichever you prefer. I would not be a good spokesgoat if I didn't remind you and I am nothing if not a good spokesgoat.

And don't forget the newsletter! May 16th isn't that far away!

Soap Answers and Goat Hopping

I am glad that everyone enjoyed yesterday's post on how the publicist makes my rich soap. It was fun for me to write. There were a few questions and the publicist has given me the answers for you.

Hot process soap is a method of making soap where you heat up the oils and fats, then add the lye mixture and cook it some more. It helps to speed up the process of soap making called saponification. With hot process soaps you don't have to have them cure for a month. But hot process soap does not work well with the molds I use. It is a very ancient way to make soap but nowadays is usually done in a crockpot.

Cold process soaps have to cure for them to harden up and for the water to evaporate out of the bars. The soap is really safe to use in about 2 days. The publicist has used my soap this soon without any problems it's just very soft and gets used up very quickly. She does not worry too much because she has lots and lots of my rich soap. The bars just last longer when they have cured.

As to the giveaway winner - they will be able to pick any three bars of soap they would like!

The publicist and I thank you for all of your questions about the soap and if anyone has any others please ask.

I will end today's post with Kevin's latest activity - Pricilla hopping. I don't know what has got into that boy but he seems to think it is a good idea to try and hop on his mommy....

Mallory was being a little threatening there but still I am not a high hurdle!

Remember the newsletter giveaway! All who sign up through May 16th will be entered into a drawing for THREE BARS of my rich soap. I promise not to be a spammy goat. I am a vegetarian.
