The Publicist Made a Mistake!

Stupid publicist!
You will recall when I introduced you to our exotic chicken, the Dark Brahma.

I told you how pretty SHE was.
How much the publicist liked her lovely blue and purple feathers.
It is still a very pretty chicken - as chickens go.

BUT IT IS A ROOSTER!
Silly publicist.
She discovered this when she saw it doing the rhumba with a Rhode Island Red hen.
And the crowing might have been another clue.

So this is our exotic ROOSTER. A dark brahma.
Isn't he handsome!

The publicist claims she was thrown off by his small comb.
She also claims it is a good thing she is not a chicken farmer.
She would be in biiiiiiiiiiiig trouble.

I am very glad she knows I am a girl goat.
Silly publicist.

Our Exotic Hen

Today's post is going to be a short post.
I am exhausted.
With all the sunshine we have been having I have been hard at work basking away.
And eating those carrots.

It's hard on a goat and I need my beauty sleep.
So today I am going to introduce you to our exotic hen.
You might recall that the publicist thought she was a Dark Brahma.

She still thinks that.
She is a shy hen and the publicist had a hard time getting pictures of her.
I think she looks pretty funny with her feathered feet.

What do you think?

She does have some very pretty green and purple feathers that light up in the sun but she would not pose so the publicist could show you them.
Maybe another time.

She will soon be laying eggs for the publicist and male person.

Chicken Tales

I am sure you are all wondering about the chicks.
I told you about them a while ago but I have not given you an update in a while.
I have exciting news!
The chicks have gotten big enough to be moved outside to the chicken tractor!

The male person has moved the chicken tractor out of my goat pen.
This makes me very happy.

I think the chicks are very happy too!

Not all of them have figured out how to come out of the little house to the outside world.

But those that do seem to like it outside.
The exotic chick is really showing his colors. The male person and publicist still think he is a dark Brahma.

Aren't the feathers on his feet funny?

Maybe these chicks will be lucky and they will win one of FarmMan's HenPals Nest Boxes from Life on a Southern Farm.  You can try and win one too by clicking the link off to the right. Your chickens will live in style! Well, your hens will anyway. I don't think your roosters will care.

I hope you liked this update on the chicks.
I am just glad they are not in my goat pen.
For that I am doing the goat dance of joy!

Tomorrow:  Wordless Wednesday
