It's time to meet another of my friends and this one is human not fowl. Or foul for that matter. His name is Chuck and he just had a birthday so be sure to maaaa him a happy birthday when you visit his blog, Secondary Roads.
Chuck lives in a state called Michigan. I have never been to Michigan but it sure looks tasty - erm nice.
I know that my cousins are there as they visit Chuck's house now and again.
Chuck's wife, Sylvia is not too happy about this as they eat her garden.
They are not like me. I am a good goat. I do not eat the male person's garden.
The 8 foot fence has nothing to do with it.
It's because I am a good goat.
Really.
But back to my friend Chuck.
He writes about his life on his big Farm.
I would like to live on a BIG Farm.
Do you think Chuck would let me move in?
He let my friend Lin come and visit.
Maybe I could come and visit and not come back.
What do you think?
Never mind.....
But you all should go and visit Chuck on his BLOG. There is no snow on his blog....
So go and check out Secondary Roads.

Meet My Friends Monday - The New Chicks
This is a new kind of Meet My Friends Monday.
And I am not completely sure these are my friends....they will eventually live in my goat pen but they will also steal my grain and poop in my water bucket so I don't know if that makes them FRIENDS or not.
I think not.
But the publicist says I have to tell this story and she IS my friend so here goes:
The male person went out to get the mail and he heard this peeping sound.
There should not be peeping on the Farm
We have no peeping birds!
Then he saw this
A hen with six chicks!
She must have hid away and sat on eggs!
Silly chicken!
He went to get the publicist to gather up the chicks. They could not stay "in the wild" because there are too many things that could eat them.
Mostly Harry the Farm cat.
So they started to try and catch the chicks.
It was very funny.
The mother hen led them hither and yon with the male person and publicist chasing after them. We goats were snickering but don't tell them, OK?
But finally they managed to catch the six chicks and put them in a cooler. They decided to keep them in a big box in the yurt until they are big enough to go outside.
They are very tiny right now they are only two days old.
OK - I admit it, they ARE cute.
They were a bit cold and they were missing their mamma. But the mamma hen could NOT live in the yurt so the publicist came up with a very smart idea.
The male person laughed at her at first but.....
Goat coats are NOT just for goats apparently.
They keep little chicks warm and remind them of sitting under their mammas.
As soon as they got in their they quieted down and went to sleep.
The publicist found them in the sleeve in the morning.
Silly chicks!
They are doing just fine now. They are eating and drinking and making lots and lots and LOTS of peeping noises.
So I hope you are happy to meet the very first chicks born on the Farm.

Meet My Friends Monday - Random Felines
It's time to meet more of my friends! I can't believe how quickly Monday's roll around.
Today I would like you to meet all of the kitties at Random Felines.
They live in a nice place with their human who fosters kitties and helps to rescue doggies too!
There are seven of them!

Maestro Tim and Tom Mozart

Ivy Spud Junior
The house kitties all seem to be happy to have the foster kitties running amok in their home
Which is good because there are always kitties running amok in their home.
Right now their are some really cute ones
The publicist keeps talking about wanting a kitten and I keep butting her to remind her what kittens can be like.
I hope you all go over and maaa hello to all of the Random Felines!

Meet My Friends Monday - Small Town Mommy
It's Monday so it's time to meet another one of my friends!
This friend lives in a small town just like I do.
Although I think her small town is really a city compared to my town...
Please maaaa hello to Small Town Mommy and her Small Town Family including Oreo the Cat.
Oreo even has his own very special day on the blog called Oreo Monday.
Can you guess what day he appears?
I thought for a while and I guessed correctly!
Oreo likes to dress up or the Small Town kids like to dress Oreo up I forget which it is.
Oreo is obviously very patient.
Or very nipped.
Small Town Mommy writes about life in her small town and she has What the Hell Wednesday where she rants. I don't rant but I do MAAAAAAAAA when I am upset. I wonder if it is the same thing....
So please stop by and see what is going on in the Small Town. Today you will see all about the Small Town Mommy's trip to BlogHer. I would like to go to a blog conference but goats are not allowed on airplanes or in hotels or in taxis.
I think this is WRONG.
Don't you?

A New Soap Will Soon Appear in the Shop!
It's true!
The publicist has had many requests so she searched and searched.
She finally found a mold she liked.
We have been working hard to make them.
They haven't cured yet but I decided to give you a SNEAK PEEK!
Isn't it cute?
It's a little piggie.
The publicist would like to have piggies on the Farm but the male person just rolls his eyes.
I think this is a very cute soap to add to my shop.
What do you think?
When they are ready to be sold I will have a GIVEAWAY for a piggie soap where you can help me come up with a name so put on your thinking caps!
I will let you know when I am ready.
This piggie is my friend for today. I hope you don't mind.

Meet My Friends Monday - Katie and Glogirly
It is Monday and time to meet more of my friends!
This Monday is also full of award announcements too!
But first I would love for you to meet Katie a very lovely tuxedo kitty and her human, Glogirly!
Katie and Glogirly just got back from BlogPaws where Katie received a very stylish new wardrobe. She is an excellent modelcat.
Much better than I would be (not that I am a cat, heh). I do not wear clothes. I have my limits. Pearls is as far as I go. But Katie rocks her catfits.
Katie (as well as a LOT of my friends - I will tell you about them at the end of this post) has been nominated for a Pettie Award for Best Blog Post. I have been voting for my friends and as you can see I have a widget on my blog to make it easy for you to vote too! You can log in with your facebook account or with email. The winners get to make a donation to a shelter so it is a very good cause. As Sherpa the Farm cat will maaaa to you NO cat wants to live in a shelter!
But back to Katie and her adventures with Glogirly - they have created the very entertaining Real Housecats of the Blogosphere movies and I am sure that you will all love them. So go over and maaaaa "hi" to Katie and Glogirly on their blog. I'm sure you will be entertained.
Katie and Glogirly even gave ME an award! Isn't that nice?! They gave me the One Lovely Blog Award. I'm sure they made that choice on a day that WASN'T AbbyDay. Bwamaaahahaha. I thank them very much for recognizing me.
As for the Petties - so many of my friends are nominated! It's very exciting!
Sparkle is nominated for Best Blog Post
Daisy the Curly Cat is nominated for Funniest Blog
Your Daily Cute is nominated for Funniest Blog
I am very excited for ALL of my friends. I am asking you all if you have a few minutes to vote so that a very deserving shelter can get some monies to help kitties like Sherpa the Farm cat find a good home.
I hope you enjoyed meeting another one of my friends and learning the exciting news about the Petties!

Meet My Friends Monday - Darla Rose Caprine
I don't know where time is flying but it sure is.
I cannot believe it is July.
Before I introduce you to my friend for this week I want everyone to maaaa a Happy Birthday to the publicist's niece Sarah. She is the very special girl that provided the name for Sarah the goat! Her birthday was yesterday but I don't blog on Sundays any longer because I am an old goat and I need a day off.
My friend this week is Miss Darla Rose Caprine - a very lovely goat who is great friends with Ms. Mimi Foxmorton. Mimi has a blog called The Goat Borrower. Mimi wanted a goat but she lives in a city where she cannot have one so she borrows goats. Then a farmer gave her Darla and she cares for her at the farm and takes Darla to all kind of events.
I want to go to an event.
This is Darla at the Gooseberry Fair.
Darla loves to get all dressed up.
Mimi also created the Magical Capra Blanket - you should read all about it. It was a worldwide effort to make a blanket for Darla to wear at the Yule. I sent in goat beads to help decorate it!
Mimi also started The Sisterhood of the Goat on Facebook where all goat loving people - yes it is for humans - can get together and chat and exchange information. I don't see why I can't be a goat sister. After all I know more about goats than humans! Harumph!
She also gave the publicist and me this award. Isn't it pretty?
We both thank her for it.
So go over and visit Mimi's blog, maaa to Darla and become one with the Sisterhood of the Goat. Even you cats can visit.....

Meet My Friends Monday - Marg and her Animals
Can you believe it is Monday again?
Boy time flies!
I have another wonderful friend for you to meet - Marg!
Marg has a blog called Marg's Pets and it is all about, well Marg's pets.
heh
Marg has a houseful of kitties.
She takes care of cats that no one wants.
She is a cat's best friend!
This is Lil Bit having a nice rest.
There are lots of outside cats too!
Some are domesticated and some are still somewhat feral but Marg makes sure they are well fed and that they go to the V-E-T if they need care.
This is BG and Khaki cat stalking a mousie.
Marg also has donkeys!
Smoke
and Joe.
They are miniature donkeys and I think they are quite something.
I think the publicist should get me one!
I hope you liked meeting my friend Marg. Be sure to visit her blog!
We all ask that you send positive thoughts to the male person. He has the flu. He has a fever and is not feeling well at all. We also want you to send positive thoughts that the publicist does not catch it from him. We do not want her to get sick too. Then who would take care of us?
