Harry and the Wood Pile

Yesterday you all learned how much Abby loves it here on the Farm. Well she is not the only one who loves it here on the Farm. I LOVE IT TOO. Harumph. She thinks she is the only one that counts around here. But this is MY blog and I tell the important tales. So today I am going to tell you all about Harry discovering the wood pile. You all know, of course, how much we goats love the wood pile. It is full of tasty logs and branches to nibble and munch. We hadn't been over there in a while and it was Harry's first time trying bark and lichens and such. Needless to say, he enjoyed himself. Abby took him over there on our graze that day.

He leaped right up on the big logs and started checking things out.

Then he got right down to some serious nibbling.

He checked out all the different parts of the wood pile. He wasn't going to miss a place to munch!

He found something good to eat over there...

He even did some stealth nibbling! He is advanced for his age.

His Uncle Kevin joined him for a bit and even showed him how to scratch an itch on one of the branches. This is very useful information!

He, of course, leaped from log to log. He is a little leaper!

I think he enjoyed his time at the wood pile very much and I am sure he will be going back. Who else enjoyed the wood pile that day? Come back tomorrow to find out!

i notice that he is wearing a collar. does that mean he will be getting 'how to walk on a lead' lessons soon? did kevin ever learn to walk on a lead?

Now that looks like a fun way to spend the day. Harry certainly knows how to enjoy himself!

A woodpile does look like lots of fun! You can climb and hop all around and have fun, and have snacks, too! Do you ever eat bugs you might find there?

My poor goats are so deprived. All they have is one lone tree...no woodpile at all to jump and leap on.

Your babies are spoiled :)

Oh I miss my goats that I had in Greece! Happy Saturday to you! I am slowly making my way around to all the blogs that visited me when I was featured on SITS to say "Thank you". It is indeed a fabulous SITStahood.
Be blessed!

jaz - yes, Harry will soon get his lesson. Kevin is doing erm, better. Not good, but better.

tstreasures - you are right. Harry is no fool.

reese - I have to agree. He is my grandkid afterall!

Daisy - we are not meat eaters. The chickens eat bugs and the Farm cats eat bugs but we do not.

Carolyn - I doubt your goats are deprived...I am sure you spoil them.

Laura - thank you for stopping by. I enjoyed my visit to your blog.

Gees, that Harry seems to be growing up fast!! I noticed the collar too.

I'm back from vacation now--so I have a lot of catching up on everyone for the next few days. What did I miss???

He is a little leaper! But, now he has a taste for the good life! :)

WillOaks - he is a very entertaining kid, I will agree.

Lin - I hope you had a wonderful vacation. All kids have to get a collar eventually. It helps the publicist to control them - as much as the publicist can ever control any of us. Heh heh.

blueviolet - he is spoiled just like the rest of us!

Oh, I go away for a bit and everyone is getting so sophisticated. I wish all us humans could experience such a thrill from the woodpile. Maybe I should try that when the neighbors aren't looking - Missed all of you!
