Farm Cat Friday - Sherpa the Farm Cat Kills the Mousie!

It's true!
I wouldn't lie.
I am an honest goat.

The publicist REALLY needs to sweep
It was just lying there on the floor.
A simple mousie.
I think it was the catnip that drew him in.

Uh-oh!
Sherpa is showing the mousie his claws.
This can't be good.

ATTACK!
He has that mousie in his sharp claws.
It doesn't stand a chance.

Oh the mouse-manity!
Can nothing save the mousie?

What is this?
Is Sherpa KISSING the mousie?
Or is this a taste test?
What do YOU think?

The mousie looks shocked.
Now is it being hugged?
I will never understand cats.

Sherpa meows, "talk to the paw!"
"I'll do what I want with the mousie!"

Come to me my little friend.
You are all mine.
I'll never leave you.

Ooooh, what's that?
A new toy?
What do you mean it's the publicist's camera strap - it's my new toy!

I can't believe she took it away from me.
There's nothing to do around here.

AbbyDay - I Make a BIG Announcement

It's AbbyDay, the most important day of the week so it only stands that I should maaaa the most important news of the Farm.

NO I AM NOT PREGNANT AGAIN.
Sheesh!
Get your minds out of the buck pen people!

There is going to be a new soap in MY Pricilla's soap shop! And since I AM the most important goat on this Farm, the publicist said that I could maaaaa the news to you. OK, OK - I did threaten to butt her but I still think she would have let me maaa it to you anyway.

It is in honor of Harry the Farm cat and it is a MOUSY SOAP! She hasn't had the mold that long so they are still curing but should be available in the shop in about two weeks.

When they are ready I will have a name the mousy contest and give one away on AbbyDay! What do you think of that?

Although given the way the publicist runs things around this Farm AND it's in honor of Harry maybe we should call him Brainless!
Bwamaaaahahahahaha!
I am one funny goat!

He will be available in limited scents to start and if he becomes popular the publicist will buy another mold. She is not letting Harry near his brains......

So stay tuned and start thinking of a mousie name!
I will be back with the contest in two weeks!

A RAW Tale in Three Parts, Part 3

Today we reach the finale of our story! If you need to catch up you can check out Part 1 and Part 2.

We left Harry the Farm cat receiving some "help" with his mousie.

I am not sure he appreciated the "help."
What do you think?
The kids are always sniffing at Harry.
I don't think they know quite what to make of him
So far they have not butt him.
Which is good for Harry.

But back to our tale.

Harry carried his mousie away from his "help" and sat on it.

But he got more "help."
I think he figured he had better do something or this "help" might take his mousie!
He did not know that they do not eat meat.
He only felt that they threatened his catch.

So....

....bye-bye mousie.
This time he ate the whole thing, not just the brains.
It WAS a small mousie after all.

Now for anyone that might be upset at the mousie eating. There are a LOT of mousies in our barn. Mousies here in Montana carry hantavirus which kills humans. We don't want the publicist or the male person to be deaded because of mousies so we are happy when Harry kills the mousies.

A RAW Tale in Three Parts, Part 2

You will recall that we left Harry the Farm cat patiently seeking mousie in one of the pens in the barn yesterday.

Did he find the mousie?
What do you think?

Of COURSE he did!
Harry is one expert huntercat!

He brought that mousie out of the barn to show it off and to do whatever it is cats do to mousies before they eat brains. (I do not understand this eating of brains, but then again I am a vegan goat.)

Harry put the mousie down.
It being a mousie - it ran away.
I can't say that I blame it!
Harry chased after it and for a minute there I thought he was going to lose his mousie!

The mousie was smart!
It hid behind the barn door.

Harry looked and searched and searched and looked.

SUCCESS!
Well, for Harry. Not for the mousie.

He took it further away this time.
Harry is no dummycat!

He put it down again because we all know that cats need to play with their prey.

Run, mousie, RUN!

Harry and the mousie played at well, cat and mouse.

Until he picked up the mousie and...

...uh-oh!
I don't think Harry was expecting THIS!

Be sure to come back on Monday for the conclusion to the story!

Farm Cat Friday - A RAW Tale in Three Parts, Part 1

You will recall that last week's Farm Cat Friday showed you the Farm Cats eating RAW treats. One of our delightful readers pointed out to the publicist that Harry the Farm cat already HAD a raw diet since he was so very fond of mousie brains.

"DUH!" exclaimed the publicist.

So now I give you a tale in three parts:  Harry and the Mousie.
It gets a bit graphic in places - so if you are squeamish about mousies you might not want to look at all the photos.

"I am FIERCE", meows Harry

Once upon a barn there was a fierce Farm cat.
His name was Harry.
Harry the Farm cat.

He would sit in the barn all day long hunting for mousies.
If anyone disturbed him he would make it known that he was busy.

"Quiet!," meowed Harry. "I'm huntin' mousie!"
He would go from one end of the barn to the other looking for mousie.

He would look high

He would look low

Right!

WAIT! He hears something! Is it a mousie?

He runs into a pen to check.
He is nothing if not thorough!

He will sit and wait until he gets his mousie!
So, did he find what he was looking for?
DID Harry the Farm cat get his mousie?

You will have to come back tomorrow to find out!
Bwamaaaaahahahaha!

Farm Cat Friday - Sherpa Continues to Hunt (Not for the Squeamish)

Sherpa is proving to be a mighty hunter.

Last week it was wabbit.
This week he caught a MOUSE!

The male person was very happy about this because the barn is full of mice.

Sherpa brought the mouse to the publicist to show it to her.
Poor mousie.
But mousies around here can cause hantavirus and that is not good.
So the mousies have to go.
She would just rather not watch their going.

Being the mighty hunter that he is, Sherpa stalked his prey.

Then being the cat that he is he played with it.

Then he decided he did not want to share his mousie with the publicist and he took it away.

She was happy about this.
One mousie down, 4,659 mousies to go.
