It's AbbyDay, the best day of the week. You don't forget me the rest of week - RIGHT?!
The male person is done with his garden so the publicist has been feeding us the very tasty broccoli plants that he grew.
I think broccoli is not fully appreciated so I have decided it should be WORN as well as eaten. Since I am ABBYGOAT everyone should follow my lead!
I am at the forefront of fashion, you know.
WHAT?!
You don't think this is the Next Big Thing?!
You had better rethink that thought.
You don't want the AbbyGoat Stare of Death, do you?
There are big advantages to vegetables as fashion.
THERE ARE!
When you are tired of wearing them ...
You can just EAT them!
You will recall that Sarah the goat got herself lost, then found in the male person's garden.
You will recall that she was munching on some delicious looking broccoli plants.
Well, we goats wanted some of those delicious looking broccoli plants!
Maaaa and ye shall receive.
At least that's how it works around this Farm!
Aren't we the luckiest goats in the world?
It's AbbyDay the best day of the week. When I take over the world EVERY day will be AbbyDay - you wait and see!
I have a plan.
A nefarious plan.
I know how I am going to get all of those broccoli and cauliflower plants for myself.
Bwamaaahahahahaha
I am going to eat lots of plants and then....
....and then!
I am going to save up my goat gas and let it all loose at once so that the other goats run for the hills!
Bwamaaaahahahahaa!
Then ALL of the plants will be MINE!
NEVER underestimate AbbyGoat!
Why?
Because the garden is done and we goats finally get to eat the broccoli and cauliflower plants!
Hooray!
Do you know how tasty they are?
And they are such a yummy treat since the grass and weeds are all dead and all we get to eat is hay.
The publicist is so good to us.
She brings us some plants every few days.
Mmmmm, munch, munch!
While the stems are good the best part are the leaves.
Tender!
I am not like some Abby goats around this Farm.
I will share my broccoli plants.
Especially with the new kids.
I even showed Louise where the tastiest parts were.
I am a good goat!
It's AbbyDay - the best day of the week.
I want to squelch these rumors that I don't share.
It's just not true!
I CAN share.
When I WANT to.
Take the broccoli stalks. I shared mine with Thelma.
See?
I am a good nanny.
I let her have a teeny, tiny bit of the spool to try and get a bit of broccoli.
She got to eat a piece or two.
Just because I nudged her she might have lost her balance and fallen after this photo was taken does not mean that I cannot share!
I don't understand somegoats around this Farm who say I can't share!
Pffffft!
Ooooh, we are very lucky goats.
Very lucky!
The male person harvested some broccoli and guess what?!
We got some broccoli stems and leaves as a goat treat!
YUM!
It was Sarah's first time trying broccoli stems.
She was not sure so she gave them a sniff.
Then she hopped up on the spool.
There she gave them the A-OK!
She looks like she might fall off at any minute!
Be careful Sarah!
No broccoli stem is worth falling off a spool!
Louise enjoyed her first taste of broccoli too.
These kids are very lucky to live on the Happy Goats Farm!
They get all kinds of spiffy treats from the male person's garden.
Louise really got up close and personal with her broccoli before she gobbled it up!
The publicist put little piles everywhere so we wouldn't erm, argue with one another.
Here Nora is guarding a pile.
Did she get to eat it all?
You will have to come back tomorrow to find out!
The cold weather is upon us. We have had frost almost every morning for a week and I heard the male person say it was going to be 15* on Friday. Brrrrrrr! This means that the garden is done for the season. I secretly think the publicist is very happy about this. I heard her mumbling things about how many tomatoes there were....I won't repeat them here, this is a family blog.
But this is very good news for us goats! Why, you ask? Because we get to eat the plants! That's right. The publicist pulls them and gives them to us for goat treat. Right now she is working her way through the broccoli plants. Mmmmm, broccoli.
As you can imagine it is a bit hectic when the publicist brings the yummy plants into the goat pen. We all try and eat at once...
Even the kids try and get in on the act and nibble at the broccoli leaves.
And it wouldn't be a feeding frenzy without Blue Guy, would it?
Jillian really enjoyed her broccoli. I don't blame her - it's yummy!
Actually, Jillian and Mallory tend to butt us smaller goats out of the way to get to the pile.
But the publicist always makes sure to spread the tasty treats around so we all can share...even the chickens.
I can't wait to see what the publicist pulls next. The male person went through and cut down all of the corn stalks. They are drying in the hay pile. Mmmmm, corn stalks.....
Tomorrow: Wordless Wednesday
