Uh-Oh! The Publicist Said Something She Shouldn't Have

It's time for Sunday Movies with The Happy Goats!
But first I want to wish all of you humans a Happy Valentine's Day
Don't eat too much chocolate. I wouldn't want you to get sick.

Today I bring you a peaceful video of me eating my hay. Matthew joins in. Blue Guy makes noise in the background. It's a normal day on the Farm.

And then! Then!
BLUE GUY ATTACKS THE PUBLICIST FROM BEHIND!
It's true.
She was just filming us and that rotten rooster attacked her behind.
I cut the video before she could say something that should not be said on a family blog.
But now you know what she puts up with from the newly named Blue Devil.
Forgive her. Blue Guy hurts when he attacks.

Happy Goats Movie EXTRA - Blue Guy

Blue Guy has been a very, very bad rooster. In fact there are rumours that he won't be with us much longer. I have heard the publicist muttering things like "rooster stew" and "chicken fricasse."

I can't say I blame the publicist.
Blue Guy has started attacking her head.
The Rhode Island Reds stay at knee level. They leave nasty bruises but they aren't going to take out her eye.
Blue Guy is sneaky and light.
He flies at her when she is bending down to put out our hay.
She is not happy.
She says things that I cannot repeat on a family blog.

So given these events I thought I would show you a video of Blue Guy before I woke up one day and found him to be gone.

The male person has said things about making flies with his feathers.
I really thing Blue Guy is doomed.
He really should not have tried to attack the publicist's head.
Stupid Blue Guy!

Goatucation: Really Chickucation - The Blue Andalusian

So today I am going to teach you all about Blue Guy or as he is more formally known - The Blue Andalusian Rooster.  Blue Guy is our exotic rooster. When the male person ordered his chicks last spring he received one exotic. If you remember, we didn't know what that little chick was going to be for quite a while.

But that little chick grew up to be Blue Guy.

He is a pretty rooster, isn't he.
The Blue Andalusian is named after the Province of Andalusia in Spain and is one of the oldest Mediterranean Breeds. The lovely slate blue color came about by breeding black and white birds.  Sometimes if you breed two blues together you will get a white bird - isn't that funny?

They are decent egg layers (well not the roosters!) and very fast runners. I can attest to that. I have seen Blue Guy tear across the goat pen like a crazed bird! Usually to attack the publicist!

I hope you liked learning about Blue Guy's breed of chicken.

Tomorrow:  More video!

Wordless Wednesday - Something to Crow About

Now if any of you know why Blue Guy felt the need to jump up on the gate and crow please let me know.
Thank you.

Who Rules the Pen - Blue Guy or Jeffrey?

Every morning when we all come down to our pen from the barn we are met by the chickens. Their chicken tractor is, of course, in our pen and the male person lets them out before we get there.  The chickens seem fascinated by the kids; probably because they are bigger than the kids.

Blue Guy is particularly interested in Jeffrey.

Jeffrey has been feeling his oats so when Blue Guy starts to check him out, Jeffrey tries to butt him! This happens EVERY morning.

Silly Jeffrey. He forgets that Blue Guy has spurs!

Blue Guy has been known to charge Jeffrey but he was on his good behavior this day. Probably because the publicist was in the pen taking photos. Blue Guy tried to spur the publicist but she then "charged" Blue Guy to let him know who was boss! Now Blue Guy gives her a wide berth.

You can see how excited Jeffrey is here - he is maaaaaing away at Blue Guy.

You can see that Blue Guy is getting ready to charge, but he doesn't.

Blue Guy eventually just walked away so I guess Jeffrey rules the pen!

I want to thank Nanny Goats In Panties for being my 100th follower. I am a proud goat to have reached that milestone after 9 months of blogging.
